Hate has been clouding Rhayna's mind the moment she sighted the Spider Priestess. She thought that she would be able to exact her revenge with her own hands (spores?), but evidently Selune did not approve of such spiteful act by her Cleric. Her mind finally clears when she realized the mistake that she made when previous downed enemies raise back up, and Sekkar is struck down. Rhayna looks around at the mess she made, and she panics for a moment. From the corner of her eyes, she notices that the Drow Mage cast a spell, and due to her observational training, she realizes that he conjured a powerful Wall of Force most likely surrounding the people around her. She was about to struck the Drow Priestess under her, but she rationalizes her situation, and determines that the mage has to be her priority at the moment. "I am not done with you sister." Rhayna menacingly barks at Ilvara. She then concentrates, and imbues her drow staff with spores (BA: Shillelagh), the she strikes the drow mage with it.
Staff Attack: 26 Damage: 12
(If the drow mage is still up, he takes 4 necrotic damage on his turn (WIS Save DC 16) from Rhayna's Halo of Spore, or the target is Ilvara.)
(If all of the above was enough to take the mage down.) "Friends!! The protective spell around the priestesses is down!" Then Rhayna meekly whimpers. "I am really sorry..."

Rhayna's staff again bursts with a sudden growth of mushrooms, and strikes the mage with enough power to cause him to once again drop to the ground senseless. The invisible forcefield that had only been conjured moments before vanishes, its existence barely noted by anyone but Rhayna and Kaylyn.
Now more desperate than ever, and fueled by her hatred of the moon priestess, Ilvara begins a dark and powerful spell, and waves of abyssal darkness begin to swirl around her. The small wisps of faerzress nearby begin to shimmer, thin yellow tendrils of some unnameable fiend begin to reach out through the cracks that begin to form in the fabric of the world, and it seems likely that some kind of demon is about to emerge in the tunnel. Asha watches on with a look of awe and admiration for her mistress, but Ilvara is having difficulty concentrating on such a difficult and dangerous ritual amid the battle, and with a sudden scream she clutches her head in agony, the waves of darkness disappear, and all trace of the demon vanish. Still supportive and hopeful of her leader's power to overcome, Asha touches Ilvara and speaks another healing prayer.
Meanwhile, the two remaining drow warriors still surround Sekkar. One decides that he doesn't like his chances against two earth elementals, and he skillfully weaves his way out of their reach and moves to support Ilvara and Asha. The other warrior still grips the hilt of Dawnbringer, but has sheathed his own shortsword to do so, leaving himself without a weapon to fight the lizard that is holding him with an iron grip. Speaking some obscure words in the drow dialect, the warrior begins to levitate and rise up in the air...
Sekkar: The drow is levitating with sufficient magical power to pull Sekkar up with him. Sekkar can choose to maintain the grapple and be pulled upwards, or he can release the grapple to stay on the ground.
Release the grapple and let the thief to just fly away? Never! Sekkar hardly noticed they were flying, he cares not about the drow, but about the sword - wrestling his weapon from the offender was all he wanted (then to kill the drow, of course, but first - the sword.)
In short - Sekkar is flying up with the drow now, clinging to his enemy. Actions depend of the actions of others.
Moving forward closer to Sekkar, "Hurry up and end this already!" Kastix shouts as he points his staff at Sekkar and cast Haste while twinning itself onto himself. Dash up to get better line of sight on the drows around Rhyana.

(A lot of "if - then"s) The goal is to free the sword by Disarming rule.
A creature can use a weapon attack to knock a weapon or another item from a target's grasp. The attacker makes an attack roll contested by the target's Strength (Athletics) check or Dexterity (Acrobatics) check. If the attacker wins the contest, the attack causes no damage or other ill effect, but the defender drops the item. The attacker has disadvantage on its attack roll if the target is holding the item with two or more hands. The target has advantage on its ability check if it is larger than the attacking creature, or disadvantage if it is smaller.
I will leave the damage too (not sure if it applies) but the point is to bite until drow is disarmed, let the sword drop and either catch (Sleight of Hand?) or release the drow, drop down and pick the sword up (spending one attack for it if needed).

Pax walks casually toward the priestess, with no sordid history to avenge and nothing preventing her from taking the drow ***** down without fanfare or hubris. Pax's dark curse descends on the priestess, dark blasts erupt from the end of Pax's dark sword, dropping the dark elf to the ground, and then dark shadows swirl around the body as Pax stands over her. Kastix casts his time-bending magic and speeds forward toward the two remaining drow surrounding Rhayna, as the same magic also hastens the now-floating still-glowing Sekkar, who continues to grapple the sword-stealing drow. Kaylyn fires two bolts of her own, the first one dropping Asha once more to the ground, and the second shooting upwards and striking the floating drow. Magic darts from the gnome mage then slam into the remaining earthbound warrior while the gnome guard runs over to help, and the two earth elementals also move in, with one slamming its fists into the warrior, who now looks almost beaten.
Just as the floating drow is struck with Kaylyn's bolt, Sekkar pulls down on the drow while lunging forward with his head, and closes his jaws around the magic sword hilt. With a flick of his neck, the lizardman easily wrests the hilt from the drow's grip. The spell from the other heavily injured drow on the ground drops, and the green eerie glow surrounding Sekkar finally dissipates. With the sword hilt in his mouth, Sekkar once again feels the presence of Dawnbringer in his mind, and her joy of being once again in the possession of one committed to fighting the darkness.
Two very beaten drow warriors remain: one on the ground and surrounded, and one still in the air. Sekkar can let go his grapple as part of his turn if he wants, but will drop 20' and have to take falling damage (2d6) and be prone.

In his teeth or in his hand but Dawnbringer was in his possession and it was a payback time. Sekkar was not going to drop the sword and instead twice slammed his shield into the open side of levitating drow. ( 11 and 11 ) The idea that if drow drops down, so will he, did not cross Sekkar's mind (or was ignored as inevitability not worth dwelling upon).
Having ripped Dawnbringer out of the drow's hand with his mouth, Sekkar slams his shield a couple of times with forceful retribution into the struggling elf's face. Dark blood pours from its nose, its eyes roll back, and as it goes limp it drops out of the air. With nothing holding the ranger aloft, he too plummets back to the ground (taking 3 damage) with the dead drow landing awkwardly on top of him. The pain of the impact is insignificant compared to the wordless feeling of gratitude and affection that radiates to Sekkar's mind from the loyal sentient weapon.
Rhayna's mushroom-covered staff sends the other warrior reeling, and with all its other compatriots now defeated, it apparently decides that enough is enough and takes the sensible but non-traditional option of a speedy retreat. However in its haste and disorientation it neglects to sufficiently defend its own withdrawal, and both the adjacent elementals swing their boulder-arms at the elf's back, and with a crunch of breaking bone, the final drow falls lifeless to the ground. Soon the only sound that can be heard is the panting of laboured breath from the survivors, and the strange soft crackle of moss and fungus growing rapidly on the corpse of the priestess Ilvara, eating away at her dark skin, turning her long hair yellow and then brown, and causing her visage to look almost as macabre and fiendish as the demons with which she consorts.
-------------------------------------------
For days and weeks that seem uncountable, the group has been pursued by the drow of Velkynvelve. They have been tracked and traced through Sloobludop, the Darklake, Gracklstugh, Neverlight and Bligdenstone, have been accosted by advance scouts and strike teams, and generally had the threat of recapture and enslavement hanging over them endlessly. But with Ilvara and her chief lieutenants dead, the chase is finally ended.
-------------------------------------------
Ilvara carries a tentacle rod and Shoor carries a wand of viscid globs. All other weapons, armour and items carried by the drow are of fine drow make but non-magical.
Rationality and calculated calm temporary left Sekkar (probably Dawnbringer's influence was stronger than he would like to admit). The lizardman pushed the dead body, jumped up and kicked the corpse a few times before calming down. "Would leave your heart to rot!"This probably meant something particularly offensive but drow did not care. Sekkar licked off from his teeth the blood of the despised enemy, turned away and tried not to look at the bitten meat anymore. The sword took its rightful place on his belt and Sekkar joined the others over the body of the decomposing priestess. "Good work. Should be the last of them. Stubborn greedy hofibai! Have to know when to stop if you want to live." Much could be said about his personal ability to do just that but who cares - all well that ends well.
Sekkar gave Kastix a friendly punch on the shoulder "They burned good! Smell better this way too" and nodded to Kaylyn "Appreciate the healing - got me good. Ah, nice to know those are done finally." All and all the lizarman felt incredibly satisfied despite near mortal wounds. "Anyone's hungry? Could use a meal and some rest."
Kaylyn looked around to the gnomes and the caravan to make sure everyone still seemed safe. "Hopefully this is the last of the drow that pursue us. We should at least drag their bodies into the crevasses so as to not attract anymore attention. Who knows who all passes through these chambers."
As he gets closer to Rhayna perhaps she gets an inkling of what she may be thinking. "Leave them be, let them rot, they can serve no more purpose. He may have tried to aid us, but it would have only been to bring Ilvara down and bring himself up. He would be a loose end that could come back to haunt us. Let us leave this part of our past behind us."
Looking at the rod and wand she frowns. "I will not use any drow item. Any of you may take these, I have no desire for them."
She smiles back at Sekkar. "Anytime. You took the brunt of the attacks and fought valiantly. Perhaps we can take a short time to rest while the gnomes get their wagons back in order and we can continue the trip."
Rhayna acknowledges Kaylyn's wish, for that is the logical way of handling their current situation. She goes back to Ilvara's body, or what's left of it. She shakes off the loose moss and fungus off the armor, and goes to a where no one can see her. She removes her armor, and dons the Spider Priestess' armor. She hopes that it will be a reminder of the almost fatal mistake she made today. She brings her armor, and asks if anyone has any use for it. (If not, she will stuff it inside her haversack.)
She takes both Ilvara's weapons. She goes to Pax. "Pax, would you like to take this Tentacle Rod?" Then she goes to Kastix. "Kastix, do you have any use for a Wand of Viscid Globs?" (If there is no takers, she will stuff them inside her haversack as well.)
(Just to make sure, Ilvara wears a Scale Mail right?)

Looks around at their ambushers dead all around them. Feeling still more at ease than she can express with her new found ability to see through darkness as if it were day time, she glances around the battlefield, letting her allies congratulate themselves on their victory. It seems important to them, obviously a very personal affair, and the drow were very persistent. Hearing that it could be at an end she feels glad for them.
As Rhayna approaches and holds out the rod, Pax nods, sheathing her blade. "Sure. To be honest my sword wasn't quite..... cutting it?" She grins, able to tell that Rhayna is still very emotionally charged.....while trying to lighten the mood. Then with a more serious tone, she places a hand on Rhayna's shoulder, "We're all finding our way here. You did ok."
Pax walks over to Sekkar, as she approaches, healing floods into him... 3 ... as shadow seems to reach out from Pax and spread over his body momentarily (healing "light") . She puts her hand on his shoulder as well, "You took a real beating there. Glad you're ok. You're one tenacious .... uh...person." She finishes lamely. (Cure light wounds : 9 ) As she touches him, the shadows bend around him some more and he feels more healing go into him.
Then with a big sigh she heads over to check on the rest of the group, nodding to each gnome and group member as she goes, for a job well done.
"Too annoying, not enough fatality," Kastix states as he inspects the wand before tossing it back, "I would prefer getting moving sooner than later. Iff we're lucky, that was last of them, Unlucky, it was the start,"

"You are not bad yourself and your touches are quite invigorating,"noted Sekkar relaxing his shoulders under Pax' hands, "Glad we found you in that crazy place." He was sitting by the boulder and chewing a ration while sniffing the mix of aromas of burned meat and fresh blood. "Have to admit, playing bait is interesting. Leaves some scars, though." He watched Rhayna appearing in drow's armor and nodded. "Useful. The hide is too thin to use, but a scalp would make for a good trophy too. Want me to cut it for you?" Rhayna could be sure that the offer was genuine - Sekkar was would not mind help in that important task, even if they needed to go. "Any chance to call one of your friend? Those slimes can eat anything, would not leave a trace of bodies very fast."
He would help to move the bodies from the view but did not mind to stay a bit longer to enjoy the look of enemies corpses. As much as he too wanted to see the sun for a change, it's not every day you kill your jailers and torturers.
The armor is tight-fitting full-body high-necked drowcraft scale with a central Lolth icon in a style distinct to House Mizzrym. It fits Rhayna very well, but makes for a curious sight with her pale skin. The corpses are dragged to the sides of the cavern and concealed amongst the loose rocks as Rhayna contemplates whether to walk over to the gnomes in her drow armour, holding her drow staff, and ask them for a diamond to allow her to restore one of the drow warriors to life. Looking around, she sees the gnomes gathering the body of the fallen guard and preparing it for eventual transport back to Bligdenstone. One of the merchants plays a mournful tune on a small flute as the others murmur a sad hymn about loss and hardship and the ultimate futility of life. Rhayna can't recall the guard's name, but thinks it was Rumball or Rimfall or something like that. Sekkar asks rather loudly what's for lunch.

"Would leave your heart to rot!" This probably meant something particularly offensive but drow did not care.

He was sitting by the boulder and chewing a ration while sniffing the mix of aromas of burned meat and fresh blood.
