Just because you were not specifically their slave and don't know what it is? Then just ask! Any of us can tell how it felt. I can add on top of that my village, that a pack of those murderers wiped out because it was on the way. Listen, they might look like people, but inside they are spiders. I take a quaggoth over a slick drow any day. At least a quaggoth will openly try to kill you. The wizard says the city is locked or something. An ideal place to keep all spiders in the jar, not warring they can escape. Besides, who said the wizard would not try to scry on the thing? You will blow our chances for nothing if not go through with the plan. It's crazy enough as it is too complicated with side ideas." "I am for sticking with the plan."

Seeing that her short break to seek more time to study her book drew the attention of Vizeran she did her best to shift gears and study the map and learn the information provided on the city. She felt a distaste in her mouth re the drow, but she felt the same as Pax. So much of her perspective of the underdark and it's inhabitants had changed that she was trying to keep an open mind.
"I'm open to finding another place to call the demons but at the same time we are talking about drawing demonslords so they can be killed and sent back to their own plane of existence. There will be those who suffer by this decision that do not deserve it. We should try to reduce that if we can. Do we know if there is a better place than another to place it?"
Besides this short conversation Kaylyn continues to commit the majority of her time to studying her book. She stays up late into the night forgoing sleep to study the book.
"If there was one ever, that one long being sacrificed, fed to the spiders or - some very lucky and clever - escaped the place. Others are trading slaves there, backstabbing and killing each other, and participating in every bloody crazy ritual those spiders have. You are searching for a wolf that eats grass in the wolf den. There is none. See for yourself - one drow whispered you the words you like and already set you to betray another you trusted just a moment before. You do not go through with the plan, you risk losing the world, not even Underdark. If drow have to pay the price for us all - at least they were good for something."

Perhaps when we get eyes on Menzoberranzan ourselves, we may make up our own minds. Now....can we inventory all the demons we know about and what we'll need to beware of if it comes to fighting them?"
Demons:
Demorgorgon - don't know
Zuggtmoy - tries to control our reality with her spores.

"He is what? Though, the previous one was a demon too. Fitting. Wait, you know that thing is a demon and honestly think it could give good advice you should follow?! How are you still alive?!" Sekkar was laughing more than arguing at that point, though. "I truly wish we could think for ourselves here but I know nothing about all your magic. The wizard said we have to bring this demon heart into the magic tower and place it on the special spot. Does it matter? I don't know. When demons come to life, it's good to have some army fighting them - like drow. They are spiders, but spiders that can truly bite, protect their nest and have their goddess on call. Would it matter if they are there? I don't know. Can think of only one other place where demons will be locked enough and have someone to fight them - that labyrinth with the crazy machines and dead angels. There was some other demon too... whatshisname? With a team. Need to ask Rhayna, she kept writing all this stuff in her book and remembers."
Assuming Rhayna shares this information, Pax nods in understanding. Mentally to the others, "The wizard badly wants the book from the tower. We have no reason to seek it for him. Whatever he wants it for is unlikely to be good. Perhaps we should still get it ourselves, but it's certainly not our goal."
Out loud she says, "OK, so our plan is to get teleported near to Narbondellyn, then, disguised with a Seeming spell, and made to look like Drow from house Fey-Branche, we will make our way through the city. Impersonating a Drow comes with a death sentence...well...given being us in Menzoberranzan comes with a death sentence, I'm not sure one more death sentence will make a difference. We then make our way to The Great Stair of Tier Breche, and as drow are hopefully let to go to the tower of sorcery. I'm unsure if anyone has any inflitration ideas past that point."
She tries to get Vizeran's attention to ask some questions, "Getting up these stairs, or into the tower. Are there guards full time? Will they question why we are there? What are some reasonable reasons for house Fey-Branch representative to be going into the library?"

Certainly there are warriors guarding the entrance to Tier Breche, but... if thou appear as drow then they should not accost thee. I suppose it is possible they may have some means of detecting magical disguise, but I am not aware of it. It has been many years, and I myself never encountered any opposition. Remember also that House Fey-Branche are sworn enemies of House Melarn and House Vandree. Avoid interaction with drow of those houses if possible. And if not, then remember that Fey-Branche are of a higher social caste, and are allied with the more powerful House Baenre.

EDIT:
Rhayna attempts to scry on Sarith, but the spell fails. If what Vizeran said is true, and is it impossible to scry on people within Menzoberranzan, then it must be assumed that Sarith is there somewhere.
Pax seems to get some small amount of joy from Vizeran's impatience and talks extra slow, asking extra detailed questions about the drow families, insignia and so on. She takes a lot of notes and repeats them back to him to make sure she has it right, asking for pictures or drawings from any books he may have on the topics. She will then cast a couple Seeming spells on the group, trying to craft illusions that will hold up to inspection, trying to mirror their gear but just adjust it so it doesn't arouse suspicion. She has Vizeran examine the details and give her feedback on how to ensure it's realistic, and makes sure he gives them pointers on how to act.
Being fluent in both Elven and Undercommon, Pax makes sure she tweaks her accent according to Vizeran's feedback. She'll put a decorative symbol on each of the other party members disguises so they can recognize each other amongst the drow.
This all done, she waits for one more long rest so she has her full capabilities ready. If the rest of the group is feeling ready as well, she casts the seeming spell across the party, paying careful attention to all of Vizeran's feedback, and then is ready for the wizard to teleport them to the region outside the city.
To avoid suspicion, she does not raise her shadowy wards around herself. Leaving herself feeling rather naked and unprotected she prepares to do her best job acting as a member of Fey-Branche.
Sekkar did not participate in accent training (keeping in mind what he heard but mostly counting on being silent like a good drow man), however, maps and general orientation in the city were not only needed but interesting. You never know when such knowledge can come in handy and Sekkar did his best to memorize the city's layout. Once done, he was ready to teleport.
(Rhayna was going to do some more scrying, but after her experience with the “Goddess”, she will keep it to herself in the Library. She does tell the group that they might encounter Sarith, though she wouldn’t know where in the city. She’s ready to go whenever everyone is ready.)

A small grotto leads to a ledge which overlooks a large tunnel, along which a dozen drow are visible, moving along it in both directions (two are riding giant lizards).
Here I must leave thee, Vizeran announces. Any further I cannot go. Thou knows what thou must do. Place the talisman and find the grimoire. Do not fail!

The group at this point has all been disguised as Drow using Seeming. They appear to be members of the Fey-Branche, with an additional decorative pin on your chest that looks a bit like the maze engine we ran into....so that you can recognize each other. As drow, we generally look similiar to yourselves, just a drow version, with matching heights. Your equipment is also similar to your equipment, but made to look a bit more drow styled. The biggest change is probably Sekkar's snout which could invisibly bang into things since it's bigger than it appears to be.
Pax, unusually 'visible' without her cloud of darkness surrounding her, has her tentacle rod hanging from her hip. "Well, let's get to it then. Sekkar, can you lead us to the gates and through the city please?" She prepares to follow the lizard, practicing her aloof manner.

(It can not possibly be a "matching rights" specifically for Sekkar and Pax - drow are not tall, and males a shorter than females, btw. Even with an allowed foot shorter, they have to stand out. And as much as Sekkar appreciates Pax's care about his snout, with an invisible foot of height, it would be the last problem for both of them.)
"Sure thing. Though you and other females should lead if know anything about drow custom. I'll tell you where to turn from behind." They appear to be members of the Fey-Branche, with an additional decorative pin on your chest that looks a bit like the maze engine we ran into....so that you can recognize each other.
What's the difference between a Wizard and a Sorcerer?
Class.
I'll tell you where to turn from behind." He did, poking the woman in the back to steer her in the right direction every time she tried to stumble somewhere else. Other than that, he was trying not to attract too much attention and let women handle talking and presentation of the group to anyone interested.
