"So this tile says 'Let the sorcerous power illuminate my spirit', anyone got an clue to that?" Kastix asks the group at large. 

Ireniana shrugs. "Perhaps it needs to spell to light it"

"Can it be, that you need to pour the liquid from the flasks on that tile and ignite it with the sorcery? Or, may be, somehow place the liquid inside the dragon statue? It looks like there is some fire there already?" Erky was not really suggesting something - just thinking out loud. 

As Kastix recites the words, a brief soft glow comes from the tile, but quickly fades, almost as if it expected to be activated but wasn't.

"If I die I'll haunt you guys," Kastix states before stepping on the tile and saying the words. 

"Go in peace - I promise to ban you from existence as gently as possible in that case," gave Erky his last comforting words to the brave adventurer.

As Kastix speaks the words, a puff of spectral flame envelops him for a moment, and those watching witness a brief flash where Kastix's countenance appears to show the visage of a great red dragon. For Kastix, it feels as those the moment lasts for several minutes as he feels the power of his draconic blood stir within him, and images of his dragon ancestors flash through his mind. The memory of the experience emboldens Kastix, and he exudes an aura of draconic majesty.

Kastix has advantage on Charisma checks for the next 24 hours

"Well then, let's move to next room," Kastix states as he points to the door.

Kaylyn slowly gets to her feet with the aid of Royan.

"Thank you." She says. "I'm ready to go."

She moves to follow the others.

Leaning and fallen stone bookshelves fill this chamber, though a clear path connects to another open wooden door on the far side. Torn and burnt pages, bindings and scrolls form disordered piles in the corner.

Through the far door, damp and crumbled steps descend sharply to the east, into what appears to be a tunnel going under the arboretum.

"Down we go," Kastix states as he carefully cross the room and test the stairs with cautious step before pulling out a rope. He'll tie it around himself and toss other end to the party, "Make sure I don't at least pummel to my death just in case,"

Erky barely participated - the horror of defiled library brought tears to his eyes. Whoever lived in that place did not deserve any mercy! Brave move of Kastix was left uncommented (though, Erky will help with the rope as much as he can).

Rhayna is sad to see such desecration of knowledge. She sifts through the pile to see if there is anything here that she can salvage. (Perception/Investigation: 15)

Kaylyn moves to follow the others down the stairs.

Rhayna and Erky are both visibly affected by the damage caused to this library. But as Rhayna pokes wistfully at one pile of charred parchment, she feels a solid object underneath. Scattering the ashes aside, with a cry of triumph she lifts a tome bound in bronze dragon scales. Its unique covering seems to have shielded the pages inside from fire, and the text is largely intact, although written in Draconic and currently undecipherable to Rhayna.

Tucked inside the binding are two scrolls (Arcana: 11) which, although Rhayna is unable to comprehend their specific rituals, she can recognise as a spell scroll of scorching ray, a spell scroll of Melf's acid arrow.

While Rhayna was contemplating what to do with the scrolls, Erky with an apology took the book from her hands - just to see what it is about. After all, Draconic was his second language.

Rhayna gives the book she found to Erky. She approaches Kaylyn and Kastix. "Anyone interested a spell scroll of scorching ray, and a spell scroll of Melf's acid arrow?"
