Iggy pulls out his wooden pipe and mutters something about there being too many "bad dudes" down here and the pipe suddenly starts smoking. The smoke from the pipe flashes in different colors and a Chaos Bolt is hurled at the closest grick.
Arturan uses one of his pact slots and summons another eldritch cannon. At his feat appears a black mechanical dragon it will run up to try and get as many people on the frontline within 10ft of it. I'll use a bonus action to activate giving all my allies 5 temp HP. A dark pulse of energy emanates from the mechanical dragon and bolster's our defense.
Stigr ... hex a grick then casts eldritch blast at it. One blast hits, one missing. Rurik rushes in with his mastiff on his heels. They attack the same grick the eldritch bolt hit. Rurik's first strike hits, but then both he and shadowlight miss their other strikes.
Trin ... rushes in to attack the same one as Rurik, but his strike misses.
Iggy ... sens a strange bolt of magic at the same grick everyone is attacking, taking the creature down.
Samantha ... goes into a rage and pounds into the second grick. She takes the thing down with two solid strikes.
Maximus ... moves in behind Samantha but finds that all of the enemies are already down.
Having awkwardly missed his (evidently fragile) mark, Trin stops vocalizing abruptly. He checks with Owlix to see if there are any more creatures lurking about. If not, the owl perches on Trin's forearm once he sheaths his rapier.
Having easily delt with the gricks, the group collects themselves and continues to press onward. After a few minutes more of walking you come across...
The tunnel turns southward, the southern tunnel having a door in the western wall.
Gricks. Five gricks lurk in the diagonal hallway to the south. They attack all who enter.
Trapped Adventurer. The sound of weeping comes from behind a closed door in the west wall (leading to a 10-foot-square closet). A small hole has been drilled through the middle of the door.
The Imp scout finds this first, and reports it back to the group. You have not been noticed by the gricks as of yet, since you had a scout out. What do you do?
“I think with that number there isn’t going to be a way to get the drop on em,” Rurik answers Stigr. “Now if there is a way to funnel them, that could work. Otherwise I say just rush em and give em no chance.”
"Anyone got any big boom spells? I could blow a nice thick cloud of smoke in there and we could chuck a couple of big area spells or something, man." Iggy waltzes up behind the party, already puffing small rings of smoke with his pipe. "Then the uglies will be like. Whoa stuffs coming from over there, man. Let's frick it up" And we'll be like "Nah, dudes. We'll be the ones with the fricking pants on." He pushes his glasses up and shrugs. "Just an idea."

”Lets,” Rurik responds to Maximus.

Stigr will tell the others what his familiar saw, “Rush them, or try and sneak up?”
“I think with that number there isn’t going to be a way to get the drop on em,” Rurik answers Stigr. “Now if there is a way to funnel them, that could work. Otherwise I say just rush em and give em no chance.”
Shadowlight gives a soft growl in agreement.

Samantha shrugs as she listens to everyone. "I'm my own big boom, but five at once will be a little difficult."
I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
Stigr will speak up, "I have a spell that can hit them all, but it would prevent us from getting close, which some of our group prefer."
Iggy taps his temples with a clawed finger. "You don't have to go them if they come to uuus duuuude."

"I know an incantation which can slow them down, if you think you can take them head on." Trin offers.
“So funneling then? How’d ya think we should go about it? Some way to lure them to us and they are funneling this tunnel into the room?” Rurik asks.
