You enter this chamber from a secret door in the West wall.
The chamber is large with a tunnel leading north. There is another opening in the Southern wall. Yet another tunnel seems to lead on Eastward.
Statue. A deformed granite statue stands on the east side of a large stone column, facing eastward.
Staircase. West of the statue, stairs descend 200 feet to level 2. (These stairs are not immediately visible to characters entering through the secret door.)
Noise. The sound of squabbling goblins emanates from a tunnel leading north.
The statue is life-size and depicts a dwarf king standing atop a 3-foot-high stone pedestal. Sprouting from the king’s neck is a deformed, mostly featureless second head with an elongated, toothless mouth. The inscriptions on the pedestal have been worn away. On the king’s brow rests an engraved stone circlet, and his large hands grasp the handle of a stone warhammer, the head of which is planted at his feet.b
Stigr looks at the statue curiously, “Anyone have any ideas who that was supposed to be? And why they have a second head?” He will also send his imp to check out the goblins, still invisible.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
“Shadowlight, watch the tunnel, let us know if they are coming this way. I’d like to see this statue.” Rurik says as he moves forwards. Shadowlight Perception 7
He looks about the room for anything else to catch his eye as he moves to the statue. Perception 17
Once at the statue he will give it a good look over. Investigation 16 History (Stonecunning) 13
Rurik mumbles to himself, incoherently, as he looks at the statue walking full circle around it.
Stigr will move towards where the goblins are coming from (one row down, five to the left) summoning his imp back to his side and calling out to the group, “I’ll handle the goblins, I hope, get Shadowlight out of there.”
And he will ready hunger of hadar as soon as Shadowlight is out of the way, centered where the imp had been.
Anything that ends its turn there has a DC 16 dex saving throw or takes 6 acid damage, also it is difficult terrain and magical darkness covering lines 10-18. Realized the goblin 19 will start inside it and takes 8 cold damage, no save.

“Shadowlight, come on, time for some bug repellant.” And Rurik charges in at bugbear 2 followed by Shadowlight. Sword and shield in hand, Rurik goes in with a deep bellow and swings with a mighty chop at the knees.
One of Maximus's hands glows a golden fiery red as he sends a Sacred Flame at bugbear #2 and then he will follow it up by casting Spiritual Weapon at the same bugbear placing a huge golden hued maul in square T89.
Stigr ... once Shadowlight is out of the way, casts a spell that causes an inky area of blackness to fill the entrance to the northern tunnel.
Trin ... hits bugbear2 with a bolt of fire.
Samantha ... rages and attacks bugbear1, she misses the first strike, but lands the second.
Rurik and Shadowlight ... Take out bugbear2 with a strike from Rurik and a bite from the mastiff.
Melady ... shoots bugbear1, taking it out. A dog-sized braing appears near the fallen bugbear.
Maximus ... causes an area of fire to flare up around the remaining bugbear. Bugbear dex save: 4 DC is 15. Then strikes at the bugbear with a large spiritual maul. The weapon hits for damage.
Bugbear 3 attacks Rurik. Morningstar. Melee Weapon Attack: 6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 piercing damage.
The brain-sized dog thing attacks Samantha. Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: 22 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 slashing damage. Devour Intellect. The intellect devourer targets one creature it can see within 10 feet of it that has a brain. The target must succeed on a DC 12 Intelligence saving throw against this magic or take 18 psychic damage. Also on a failure, roll 3d6: If the total equals or exceeds the target’s Intelligence score, that score is reduced to 0. The target is stunned until it regains at least one point of Intelligence.
The unearthly sounds from the darkness are joined by goblin screams of terror. No goblins come out of the darkness at this point.
At the far end of the hall two lumbering forms appear though.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
“Samantha we need to finish this quick,” Rurik says as he deflects the attack from the bugbear. “We have more company coming! Shadowlight, lets show these knuckleheads we mean business.”
Stigr will move to the outer edge of his darkness and glance down the hallway (down one, left five Devil’s Sight invocation lets him see through it, what are the goblins doing?)
(will update with an attack after seeing the goblins)

Trin rushes to help Sam as the intellect devourer engages her in simultaneous physical and psychic battle. Trin begins a Bladesong and casts Haste on himself, then moves to U93 to attack the vicious brain with a thrust of his rapier.

Rurik mumbles to himself, incoherently, as he looks at the statue walking full circle around it.
The imp flies, invisible, to the northern hall and sees a group of 19 goblins there.
As you move to look over the statue, three bugbears come out of the opening in the southern wall. "Intruders!" One of them calls. "Attack!"
The three bugbears move to attack you, even as sounds from the northern hall indicate goblins there reacting to the call of the bugbear.
We will do group initiative, you guys go first, then the enemies will go.
