As Cas moves down the hall, he carefully inspects the walls, looking for any engravings, hidden buttons, etc. "So, what did the crab say about this passage?"
Investigation: 21
Cas notices that the stone block on the southern wall seems somewhat loose. It is also covered with some sort of wet acrid slime. he feels that, if the stucko was removed from the seems, the block might be able to be pushed inward. The block is quite large though, so he would realize it will take multiple members of the group to do so.
“Nothing particularly useful, I’m afraid - apparently it’s seen some other people head down that way, but not recently. Might be a way out that way, but it will be through the temple”
Rik asks the Crab again - “Any details about the people you saw head this way would be wonderful. When did you see them, how many were there, were they armed?”
Persuasion: 31 (Nat 20! Hopefully it knows something useful)
The crab, though quite willing to help, has little details to give. He will describe several tribal folk that used the passage, but none of it is really useful information.
Shielddbiter walks with the group down the hallway. I don't recall a body of water so it is odd to see the walls saturated like this.

You realize the wetness on the block Cas is looking at is actually Lime and will give you acid burns if you come into contact with it. If it gets on non-magical gear, it needs to be wiped off right away, or will degrade armor or weapons. If it gets on your skin you will take acid damage, but it can be wiped off or washed off, either works.
"Guys we need to keep clear of the wetness. It's lime and will eat away at our non-magical equipments. It can be wiped off but its definitely going to leave a mark, ha. Any idea if you can just prestidigitation this stuff away? Or I wonder if it can be weaponized."
Larry will wipe some of the slime into one of his waterproof belt pouches he normally uses for creature parts...examining it to see if it will hold. "Well we will see if this will containt it."

It is pretty obvious that the lime will not be contained by the waterskin. It starts to degrade almost at once, showing signs of the acid eating away at it. You think it would take a bit to get through cloth and leather, but it would soak through it too fast for it to be used to hold the lime.
As you exparament with the lime, you would know it is not seriously bad acid, just doing 1 hp of damage per round of contact. It is enough to cause problems to items, but will not do a lot of damage to a pc, especially if wiped off after a couple of rounds.
“Does anyone have any elemental control spells, or equipment? Perhaps we could wash it away with a blast of water, or freeze it solid so the acid can’t burn through and then break it off”
In the interim, Rik will start using mage hand to scrape lime off the block and deposit it somewhere out of the way.
"Let's just take some cloth and protect our hands with that." Ethan suggests. "If we work together we should be able to push the stone out of the way before the lime soaks through the cloth..." He pulls an extra tunic from his pack and wraps it around his hands as he shows the others. "Sure it will eat through the cloth after a bit, but we should be able to move the stone before it does so..."
(OOC: we need a strength of 45 total points to push the stone block, so we'll start again with Ethan...)
Rik will push with mage hand (which, iirc has a strength of 1) unless his actual strength of 12 is required. If so, he’ll use his quarterstaff to push on the stone from behind the muscular types, rather than touch it himself.
This room is wet, and the walls are covered with a slimy, white buildup. There is about an inch and a half of water and mud blanketing the floor. Many overturned pedestals and pieces of broken statuary lie on the floor, partially buried in the mud. Opposite the entrance to this room is another door.
Only one pedestal remains standing, in the northwest corner. On it sits a small, metallic, three-sided pyramid. Overhead in the shadow-draped ceiling are inlaid colored tiles depicting a starry sky and forming strange patterns in the areas above the pedestals.

"If you'd be willing to test by smearing some on yourself, then I can try and clean it up." (Sinsil doesn't get her hands dirty.)

"Can you ask the crab to push the stone away?" Sinsil will ask the new bard.
The doorway into this hall is too small for the crab to fit into.
