Rik is slinking along at the back of the group, staying out of the way until he'd be useful and peering at the silvery slime tracks, trying to work out what might have left them.
Zubin begins examining the walls, searching especially for any loose stonework like they found in that last corridor.

After searching the walls very closely, Zubin believes there is something off about the wall where the statue meets it, behind the statue, but up from the floor a bit.
Shieldbiter sees the glimmer along the wall and upon the statue. Cautiously, he makes his way towards the statue.

If he arrives at the statue he attempts to pluck the gems and any other valuables he can see.
“I’ll take those, you won’t be needing them.”
How do you do this? Statue is 12 feet tall, so head is out of your reach. Read the description of the statue and tell me what you do.
(OOC: Sorry somehow skipped right over that one part, lol) Shieldbiter will walk around the statue to see if there is any good foot and hand holds using the scratches, chips, and curvatures of the clothing. Then he will attempt to scramble up to the head and hilt to see if anything is of value to take. From there he would also attempt to reach the tray to see if anything is on top of it. If he realizes he can not do it alone, he would see if anyone would be willing to help. (Shieldbiter is 6'8" so someone on his shoulders would work well in this process too i assume).
Shieldbiter, give me an investigation check. This is before you climb onto the statue, as you looked around it first. It is against the wall though, so you cannot go all the way around it. From your first look you think climbing onto the tray is the easiest way to get to the items, but let's see what your investigation tells us...
"I wonder what that tray is for," muses the half-elf. He, too, examines the statue, trying to keep out of Shieldbiter's way. "There's something behind it, but I'm not sure if we have to move the statue ourselves or if there's some sort of mechanism."

Shieldbiter, seeing the easiest way to get to the treasure, climbs up onto the tray. As soon as he is on the tray, the entire statue tips over, falling into the hall.
Shieldbiter, make me a Dex save.
Behind the toppled statue is a narrow passage 4 feet above the floor.
Opal takes another look at the green algae. With his proficiency in alchemy supplies, is there any use for it?

If you want to get some of it I have no problem with you taking some. I think it more a herbalism sort of thing, since it is a plant. I'd say it doesn't really have any alchemical properties you would be interested in.
Sinsil will approach the new passageway and start looking up at it. "Philistines and their refusal to make gnome accessible architecture... Can one of you lift me into there?"
Shieldbiter, I assume you get the gems from the eyes, what else are you trying for? You would notice that the sword's hilt does not appear to be an actual part of the statue, it is not made of stone after all.
you find no traps and take it without issue.
yep he thinks it was a big ball of silver yawn.

Sinsil will take up the rear and will constantly be casting prestidigitation on her clothing.

You would notice that the statue seems a bit top-heavy, but that is about it.

You manage to jump out of the way in time, not getting smashed under the statue... Good job.

Ethan will give Sinsil a boost up into the passage.
I was trying for the gems, pulling the sword, and whatever was on top of the tray.
