The seconds begin to tick by as Ketch swings his axe over and over at the seemingly unending zombies that step up before him. The ruined bits of dead ones tumble off the stairs and begin forming a pile as the crack of power from Mordekai's blast falls into a sort of rhythm along with the "zzzzip-thack" of the arrows coming from Ulthan as he fires over and over.

So Ketch is pushed off steps on 2nd (Attack? Round? whichever) and theoretically would get infected on 4th attack (Round?) assuming he is still in front of undead to be attacked by? But as we're only 15 feet from the bottom of the stairs, on Ketch's turn after being thrown off he would Misty Step either back in front of Lionel (if that spot was still open) or behind Lionel in order to support him in his efforts... So if the undead moved up to confront Lionel after tossing Ketch down, Ketch would then Step behind him and not be open to be infected?
Ulthan looks around for large blocks of stone he could potentially dislodge and tumble down into the giant mass of undead. He'll try to avoid using the staircase, but pretty much anything else goes... that said a small section of staircase that we can jump would be acceptable, after all everyone knows undead can't jump. Even if not down here, he'll try to remember what the topside looks like and he would run up and get large boulders from there to throw down.

(Sorry folks, busy weekend! Ok, I should have been more clear. Mordekai, Ulthan and Ketch together manage to fell roughly 1.5 undead per round. So, I'm just using that as a rough average to say you guys are busy hacking through undead. Then, the undead by Ketch are attacking him. Each round they alternate their attack. 1st a physical attack to try and wound him. These are with disadvantage, NONE have hit so far, they need a double 20 to hit him...and IF they hit him, he needs to make a save vs the Curse. Since none have hit him, he's not cursed. Then, the alternate round they attempt to huck him off the stairs into the crowd below. Now, I'll read all the rolls and see if he gets hucked off........)
The group has managed to slay about 6 of the things, though the press below shows no sign of letting up, and there is no sign of a 3rd stone golem appearing. But then one of the undead get a lucky grab on Ketch and pull him, and the two fall ten feet to the ground below.
(3 falling damage Ketch and undead, Ketch DC 15 Dex save to remain standing)
Suddenly Ketch is surrounded by a press of undead!!
Lionel fails to keep a hold of Ketch, and the undead just behind step up and swing at Lionel.

Ketch will use Misty Step (bonus action) to blink back up onto the stairs behind Lionel. Ketch will then use half his movement to stand. For his action, Ketch will grab onto Lionel's belt or armor or such to attempt to lend Help in their not getting thrown off the steps.
((Would it be possible for us to coordinate Lionel moving behind Ketch? Even if it provokes an AoO it's probably best Ketch in front long term since Lionel is currently cursed... I could Remove Curse but only the one 3rd level left and prolly best to wait til closer to end of battle?))
AoO (that hopefully doesn't kill Lionel on the spot) : Attack: 19 Damage: 25 (close!!)
Ketch manages to teleport back up onto the stairs, and switch place with Lionel smoothly. The battle continues......
As the fight continues, Ulthan begins hurling large chunks of stone down from above. The land with bone crunchingly satisfying results on the undead below. Soon the floor of the place is covered in rubble and ruined undead bodies. Mordekai's fingers begin to ache with the strain of channeling so much energy through them, as blast after blast of eldritch energy slams into the undead. Ketch continues to stand in front, a veritable orc-shield...and with Lionel's protection energy buffeting away the undead, they are unable to harm the orc. Still though, he swings, and slashes and slams over and over while Lionel holds his belt. The manage to work themselves down a few more stairs until they're right near the bottom, where the undead's attempts to drag him off the stairs are all but useless. It even allows Lionel the ability to swing down at some heads in the middle.
When the final undead collapses, everyone is covered in sweat, muscles ache and burn, and lungs are heaving. Chunks of ancient dry flesh hang to weapon blades, clothing, and are stuck in the hair. The bottom of the ruin is covered in rubble, and filled with undead bodies and arrows. The stairway above looks pitted and mangled from Ulthan's hard work.
Everyone takes a few moments to catch their breath. The library sits, open and quiet. It probably been about 10 minutes worth of hard work.
"We definitely should, the fight is not over." Lionel gratefully nodded to Ketch - he felt (and probably looked) much better. "Felt like those undead were siphoning very life from me. Thanks." He stood up and carefully peeked around the corner. "Any word from Meepo? Where is the last golem?"
Meepo fidgets then sighs. He pulls the portable hole out of his pouch and moves back to the exit to their little sanctum. He gives the sad wizard a nod, then pokes his head out to see where the stone golem is and what else is going on outside the sanctum.
Mordekai checks there's not an advancing golem, and quickly whips out his Tome, and writes a message to Meepo, "Hey Meepo, you still ok? What's going on in there? Is there anything left to kill?"
About to stick his head out, Meepo pulls it back. "Meepo see stone golem in chamber here. Meepo going to send skeletons fight golem. Meepo low on Meepo spells."
Meepo, prompted by Mordekai's message, sticks his head out to check. The upside down scene that Meepo can see hasn't changed. The underside of a table is around him, and across the room he can see the big heavy legs of a golem from where he is, against the wall. Charred smoking remains of undead cover the room.
The others peer into the library from the bottom of the shaft. Through the rubble of the cave in they can see the library. Charred smoking remains of undead litter the floor. The smell of dusty, charred, slightly sour smoke permeates the air and lazily drifts out of the doorway to lift up and out of the stairway you're in.

(Can Meepo get down from the rope trick, toss the portable hole up on a wall, and get back into the rope trick, all in one action? I assume movement out is a simple step down, five- ten feet should get him to a wall, action to open the portable hole, then 5 - 10 feet back to the rope and a step up to get back in. If this is all ok, then that is what I would like to do...)
Meepo slips out of the sanctuary, moves to the closest wall, tosses up his portable hole, then scuttles back under the table and up into the sanctuary again. As he does so he mentally commands his skeletons to come out and attack the stone golem. Vervally he calls out. "Meepo Zombies, attack stone golem. Meepo want you do this..."
(I figure the undead won't act until next round...)
Mordekai reads Meepo's reply on his page, and tells the others. "Do we move in now so that Meepo's still got an army left for the next fight? Or do we wait a moment and see what they can do to it first?"
Meepo leaps down from the hole, his black fabric in hand and quickly runs a few feet and throws it against the wall, patting down a few wrinkled spots until a moment later is shimmers and there is a hole there. The skeletons, zombie, and equipment appear to all have been standing on the left side of the hole and as gravity asserts itself then all tumble in a pile, with a loud clatter. They begin picking themselves up quickly enough though. Meepo turns and runs back for the table.
The large golem is already striding across the room as Meepo runs back for the hidey hole. It can't reach him in time though as he leaps through the hole. From within, he sees the remains of the table splinter across the floor as a fist comes swooshing through it.
Then it turns and walks towards the undead in the hole.
(Question, do the undead have something that will help their weapons hurt the golem? It's immune to Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing from Nonmagical Attacks that aren't Adamantine. Otherwise it's going to just start smashing your undead...)
