Smoke will look towards the trader again. Tell me, what potions or ointments do you have for healing or other means of protection. And what would you ask a fellow traveler for these items.
If the potions and ointments are not common Smoke will try to determine if they seem legit and functional.

He will take a random potion in hand that he can reach and hold it up towards Weylin and move slightly so Weylin can get a good look. What do you think of these. He asks Weylin
Since he has experience with healing and might be able to judge the value and authenticity.
The diplomat and red-cloaked figure disband shortly after, and Black Cat is unable to pick up on any additional information. The red-cloaked figure goes into the street, not noticing Black Cat as he exits, whereas the diplomat leaves from the other end of the alley, walking to the edge of the building and turning. The red-cloaked figure walks down the main road, noticing Aldin but thinking him only a simple member of the town, and continuing on. The red-cloaked figure seems to be making his way to one of the local taverns, which is positioned behind some of the trading stands and booths. What will you do, Aldin? Meanwhile, the diplomat silver-cloaked figure weaves intricately between buildings, proving to be a hard target to pin down. He clearly has experience in these shady endeavors. The silver-cloaked figure finally halts at the doorstep of an old antique shop, which he knocks on the door, and after being noticed, enters. What will you do, Black Cat?
The trader smiles at Smoke and Nirug. "That of which you currently hold is among the more popular items. That potion took me years to perfect, but I have managed to do it. With a natural crushed root mix that calms you, and the nectar of a rare flower that numbs the pain until it can manage to heal you from the inside. One of my better creations, I'd say. Goes for only 12 gold pieces. Practically a steal in these parts." The trader gestures at the other potions on the table. "There's another popular potion, the Elixir of Rejuvenation. Take it when you're battered and tired, and you'll feel like new! Only 20 gold pieces for that. And then, there's the Ointment of Wounds, which you pour over a wound and it will numb and seal it. That one's a bit expensive for my market--25 gold. But still, these prices are very cheap in this type of industry, I assure you."
Weylin, you may make a medicine check to judge the strength of the potion you hold now. Smoke and Nirug, you can make medicine checks as well to check out the various other potions he's mentioned or the ones he has not.

Black cat will try and see if he can look into the window and see what is going on but definitely make note of the shop to be revisited later by someone other than Aldin and himself.
"Well... while that all sounds good. It all sounds more expensive than what I have. Pity..." Nirug says with a bit of disappointment. He leans back from the table choosing not to investigate something he couldnt afford.
(medicine check 24 for the potion Weylin is holding and the Ointment of Wounds if possible)
(edit nice!)
Smoke will take a good look at the two items having some knowledge of herbs and making some unorthodox medicine with them.
My large friend here is correct we have some coin but not in large amounts. We are expecting to do more business here in town though. How long would you be staying in this town?
(As the group might have done before, Smoke is not against sharing some gold to buy such an item for Nirug. I gues thats why Smoke has so little to start with haha)
Aldin sighs heavily, of course the man would go into a tavern. The whole concept of taverns bothered Aldin, why allow so many people to be in such a small place and allow them to get intoxicated. The anti-social man shivered as he approaches the door and stepped in tentatively and went straight to the bar without looking around.
Once there he asks the tender for a drink but his words speak more in Thieves Cant, "Looking for resupply."
Black Cat, you can position yourself to a window that is higher up than your height, therefore you must hop over onto the ledge beneath the window. Peeking through it, you are able to see two silver-cloaked figures conversing. They both seem to be smiling, though their other features are distorted through the window. Suddenly, the small brick ledge breaks beneath your weight and loudly crashes to the ground as you fall a few feet to the dirt below. The silver-cloaked figures don't seem to give it much worry, most likely assuming it's some kind of rabid animal outside.
Smoke, both potions appear completely legitimate, and powerful at that. The mysterious trader was telling the truth, it seems. The ingredients seem to be all-natural, mostly plants, such as herbs and roots. The trader smiles, his persuasive tone returning, as he appears bent on making a sale soon, and with this thin crowd it seems unlikely he'll get it done quickly. "I'll be here for another half-week, I believe. At least, how many provisions I have remaining, and I don't think this current crowd is worth waiting it out any longer than that." the trader looks to Smoke and Nirug. "Perhaps...a deal could be in order. If I can get more customers, I could drop my prices significantly for you...to the point where they're free of charge. Ester Lynchar is a card-player and a bard, and practically the heart and soul of this town, if I understand correctly. If you can persuade Mr. Lynchar to endorse my product, I'll finally be able to convince these townspeople the authenticity of my potions. If you can do that, you can get four potions, for free. What do you say, huh?"
Aldin, the tavern, despite it being midday, is bustling with patrons, and you find one of the last remaining seats on the bar. The bartender seems to understand and slides over a mug of fresh ale. As you look around, you spot the red-cloaked figure, leaning against a wall sipping ale. He seems to stand out. Even though there seem to be some strange folk milling about this tavern, his attempt at being discreet has done the exact opposite. You watch as the red-cloaked figure slowly makes his way across the room, trying his best to look nonchalant, but mostly failing as he is almost at the other side within a minute. Then, he opens a door that reads 'Staff Only' and disappears. This door is about ten feet from you. What do you do?

(Sorry, apparently I misread the post about the potion, my bad.)
"And where does this Ester Lynchar usually hang out? I don't want to make any promises but we've got some sweet talkers here." Asgrim says to the trader with a smile.
The trader smiles at Weylin. "Ester Lynchar's favorite spot seems to be that tavern over there," the trader says, pointing to a tavern behind a few booths, which is, unbeknownst to you all now, the same tavern in which Aldin is currently in.

Aldin suffers in silence as he sits at the bar. All these people are making him very nervous but he uses the breathing techniques that Smoke taught him long ago. He watches the man slip through the staff door and immediately moves to the door and attempts to catch it quietly and peer in.
Aldin, you can make it to the door, and as you look in, you don't see the red-cloaked man. No, in fact, this is a stairway that descends downward, and the end of it is not in sight, fading into darkness below. What will you choose to do?
Alone and in an uncomfortable place, Aldin knows it is a bad combination. His eyes linger a moment longer on the descending stair before he shakes his head no. He turns from the door, pays the tender and heads to the front door. Once outside he will step off to the side and take several deep breaths, now that he is away from all the people.
Smoke will try to make as smart and honest face as he can then fondle a bag on his belt that has coins in them to clearly but casually make the trader aware he has coins and perhaps start to entice him.
Yes, i see your wares are of quality. However others might not be so knowledgeable about this kind of medicine, as is shown by some lack of customers. I can offer you 6 gold on a single potion with the promise of using it to persuade this Ester Lynchar with it. After all what better way to prove something you dont believe in than showing them it actually works. Consider it an investment.
Smoke will remain eyecontact with the trader for a moment. Then has his attention diverted by Jorel taking him to the side for a moment listening to what he has discovered. Then go back to the trader.
Seems recent events could become good business for you if we can persuade them your medicine works. But they might be untrustworthy of things they do not know as well. I am being called away now so do we have a deal?

Black Cat will rock from foot to foot anxious to tell the group what he has seen and heard but not want to interrupt what is currently going on in front of him. Will also look around the area for anything that obviously want to jump into his pockets.
The trader addresses Smoke with a weary expression. "That does sound as though it would help..." the trader says. "But until I have Ester's endorsement, I cannot ensure I will be able to make any coin, so I can't risk giving you anything too high-profile. But, perhaps a simple potion will do," the trader says, giving Smoke a small glass with a golden liquid within. "This is a rare Stabilization Mixture. Although this is a very small amount, it is told to have the strength to stabilize someone who is dying." The trader smiles. "If you accept, I'd like the coin, as well as Ester's endorsement by sundown, and the agreed potions are yours."
Black Cat, looking around, one particular marketer catches your eye. A bizarre-looking man, he appears to be a rather young, almost jester-like person, dressed with wealthy clothes that indicate coin in relative abundance, as well as his clothes resemble that of a showman. He's rather popular, and shouting and gesturing. "This town is overrun with evil bandits! Dangers of the wild, who are content to swindle your money! You lively townsfolk deserve a way to defend yourselves! But not by the conventional methods, no, no, my friends. That's just what they'll expect! I have the most unique sale, just watch." The salesman retrieves an orb from his pocket. It's rather small and glass. He lightly shakes it, and the small crowd gasps as red and orange dust begin to form and swirl around within the glass. He then breaks the calmness of the atmosphere, slamming it against the ground. Upon breaking, the dust rushes out in a surge of bright colors and sounds. Some of the crowd stagger back from the force emitted. Once it all clears, there's clapping. "Yes, yes, thank you. A revolution in combat. This is one of the more minor orbs, the others are far stronger and more effective in self-defense or combat. And they're cheap. Anywhere from 5 silver to ten gold, no more expensive than that. Now, gather round, and buy yourself protection!"
