Dwal pulls Seth and Farley back up the stairs, and fully heals Seth. He mumbles a word of thanks. Farley is functional but injured, with a deep wound in his leg.
Meanwhile, Peri studies the trap. The thin wire is difficult - but definitely not impossible - to see in the dim light, and one crossbow is clearly visible down the lit hall (the other one is invisible in the gloom of the dark hall.) There's no way to move the tripwire without spending a lot of time reengineering it. He could definitely reset the trap and re-aim the crossbows in a new direction quickly and easily, though. (Seth, Farley, and Butter have plenty of crossbow ammo.) Then he hides, and watches. All is quiet.
Seth is ready to move on. "Get up, Farley. Let's go," he tells his wounded comrade.
"If you need, I can heal your leg Farley. Are you right to carry on?"Qiv offers his services, somewhat reluctantly, wanting to keep his healing for his group of friends not for these buffoons.
Regardless, he will take a more forward position in the party, hoping that his short stature and heavy armour will keep him safe.
Seth nods to Missy, gets up, and strides over to the top of the stairs again. "Little guy," he calls quietly to Peri. "You wanna stay in front and watch for traps? Let's go!" He strolls back down the stairs.
(Unless you tell me otherwise, Peri will lead, followed by Seth and Qivys, then Missy and Farley, then Butter and Dwal.)
"Sure, I'll go on ahead and check for traps. But I'm not wearing five-stone of armor like you, so I'll have to be sneaky-like. Which means you lot will have to stay a bit back and try to keep quiet. If you hear a ruckus, I'll have failed and I'll need you to save my hide, so don't stay too far back. I've no intention of dyin' here in Saltmarsh."
With that, Peri squats down in the corner between the north wall and the floor and begins creeping forward down the lighted passage, ears pricked up, feeling carefully ahead for any tripwires or other traps. Stealth17 and Perception8

Qivys sees an uneven, naturally formed cavern, about twenty feet in diameter. It appears to be empty.
Peri continues down the lit corridor. But when he's nearly crossed the darkened tunnel opening, a bolt swooshes out of the darkness. Crossbow attack: 5piercing damage: 4 - it misses completely, cracking against the stone wall.
Peri looks around - no tripwire. Somebody shot that one. As a confirmation, he immediately hears a hoot in the darkness. "They're here!"
Seth, Butter, and Farley are quick on the draw. Butter stumbles over to Peri and loads his crossbow. Seth and Farley dash into the unlit corridor where the assailant shot from, swords drawn.
Missy may go next - she's more than 30 feet from the attacker, possibly significantly more.

Missy runs forward to the junction, next to Butter, and peers into the dim corridor with her darkvision. She sees a middle-aged bald man in leather dropping his crossbow and pulling out a long, curved blade as he is rushed by Seth and Farley. She throws an arcane mote of fire at the attacker, but it flies wide, briefly illuminating the empty cavern beyond.
"Fandish!" he yells, and swings his scimitar at Seth. Attack: 9. Slashing damage: 3 - Seth easily dodges his blade.
An archer appears further down the lit hall - a spiky-haired woman with an eyepatch. She fires two arrows in quick succession - one at Missy and one at Butter. Arrow #1 at Missy: Attack: 9. Piercing Damage: 8- The flying arrow is deflected by an invisible magical force protecting her. Arrow #2 at Butter: Attack: 20. Piercing Damage: 5 - Butter is struck in his stomach. He's pretty badly injured, but standing.
A third assailant appears behind the archer, loading his crossbow. A scrawny, mustachioed goon. Qivys, at the far end of the hallway, recognizes him immediately as the guy who assaulted him in a bar a few nights ago.
Dwal lobs a mote of magical fire the entire visible length of the lit hallway, past Missy, Butter, and Peri, and strikes the woman with the bow with a searing blast of arcane flame. She screams in pain as it burns much of her leather-clad form. Injured but determined, she grits her teeth and draws another arrow.
Dwal moves up to join the others at the intersection of the second darkened passage.
Qivys and Peri are up next.
(The two new assailants are at the eastern visible end of the lit E-W tunnel. The middle-aged bald guy with the scimitar is down the second, eastern darkened passage, battling Seth and Farley. Qivys is at the top of the first, western, darkened passage.)

Peri sees the female archer blasted by Dwal's firebolt and uses her moment of distraction to rush her, stabbing upward with his shortsword. Attack17 Damage 4

Qivys
Hearing the sounds of battle he moves to the entrance of the unlit tunnel (by my calculations it should be 25ft. Given that each little square represents 5ft). He feels power surge through him. It seems familiar but he can't quite place it amidst the thrill of battle. Locking in on Mo, he sees his hands move in strange shapes and gestures. A flame like radiance descends on the facial haired assailant.
Qivys moves forward to the others. The mustachioed crossbowman tries to dodge Qivys flame - 10 - and succeeds.
Peri springs forward to the end of the lit tunnel to strike both assailants. The spiky haired woman is gravely injured by his blade and is looking panicky for the exits. Mustache's knee audibly cracks as he is struck by the deft halfling's foot.
Farley - Attack: 20. Slashing Damage: 2 - Farley inflicts a long and serious wound to the attacker.
Butter fires his crossbow wildly at the archer. Attack: 4. Piercing damage: 10 - Butter's wild drunken crossbow bolt miraculously pierces the archer right through her eyepatch, killing her instantly.
Peri sees the well-lit passage continue ahead; the tunnel slopes steadily downward, and straw mats have been placed on the slippery wet floor. He gets a glimpse of a lit cavern with casks against the wall.
Qivys, Missy, Dwal, and Butter are at the top of the middle southern passage. Seth and Farley are about 15 feet down the same passage, engaged with the injured bald man. Peri is engaged with Mustache about 20 feet east of the others.

Peri heads out quietly. He hears nothing and sees no more tripwires. A second darkened passage appears to the south. The lit passage continues east.
The rest of the party waits near the bottom of the stairs.
Peri:
Being unable to see in the dark, and not wishing to advertise his approach, Peri will continue down the lighted tunnel.

Qiv stands at the beginning of the first unlit tunnel and peers in.
