(No issues here with getting potions from party funds. Gerrard will buy a few healing potions if they are available from his own funds.)
Getting his body and all his equipment and clothing clean is the first order of business for Gerrard, followed soon by a hot meal and a cold beverage that evening. He will talk people up to find out what has gone on in their absence. He will check on Erik, his horse, and see if he can find a good area map in a waterproof scroll case. I think he has the portrait for the locket already, but if not he will pick that up.
Some shopping for exceptional items would be interesting but likely fruitless here in Saltmarsh (magic containers, weapons, armor) and checking on the Lizardfolk a few times before the meeting to make sure they are doing well. Gerrard will also try to find out what happened to the Lizardfolk’s weapons order.

Gerrard Feldren - Human Noble in Ghosts of Saltmarsh
Kerric Brightblade - Elven Warrior in "Apocalypse"
Dwal will head to his apartment drop off his things, and Bjorn if Bjorn wants, then head to any place that offers a Bath!. Once bathed Dwal will head back to his apartment and get a proper sleep so he can be fresh and ready for this "meeting". He will, however, slide a peek in on the Lizardfolk and see how the guards of the town are treating them if he can. Once he wakes back up Dwal will do the usuals and then be fresh as a dwarven daisy for this illustrious meeting.
The bard is more than willing to accompany Peri to sell the hides. En route to Kesters he will pause and try to clean things up a little with undoubtedly numerous castings of Prestidigitation on both he and Peri. Satisfied that they are as presentable as possible he will begin negotiations.
After selling the hides he will travel with Peri on his errands. During their meandering he will head to the vendor that made Peri's pants and purchase a set of simple clothes. Mainly so he can have his usual ensemble cleaned. If all goes well, he will head to the cabins to unload any gear and then to the Goat for a meal and a stiff drink(or two).
4 (Natural roll. Let me know what check you'd like for the negotiations in selling the hides.)
((No problem with purchasing potions from the group's purse))
Nicely tidied up, Peri and Kei spend some time selling their gains and bargaining their way across town. With Kei's bartering and Peri's charm, they manage to settle on some reasonably good offers:
Kester is delighted with the giant croc skin, and will pay you 600 gold for it. She is not particularly excited about the snakeskin, but will take it off your hands and make the two of you each a nice belt from it if you like, as thanks for bringing her the crocodile skin. She's not interested in purchasing it outright.
Kei manages to pick up a set of sturdy, if rather plain, street clothes (at normal PHB prices.)
On the other end of town, old Winston is willing to give you 80 gold for the pearls ("Not so much for the value of the pearls, as for its value as an antique. These feel like they may have some pedigree!") Peri has already determined them to be of a non-magical nature.
Returning lastly to Xondros, he finds her affect as unnerving as before. She indeed has the potions Peri requested - four common potions of healing, at 75 gold each, minus his retainer, coming to a balance of 250 gold.
She describes some new items for purchase, in addition: a potion of greater healing, a gnarled wand of magic detection, a rather grotesque pair of slippers of spider climbing, and an old and gaudy headband of intellect - each priced at 300 gold. She also is willing to sell you a potion of gaseous form she can obtain overnight for 2500 gold. As before, she hints at access to other items, well beyond your price range.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Gerrard:
The young noble is attracted to the old an gaudy headband, especially with its promise of great intelligence. He offers to buy it at the asking price as long as he can also get some supplies to polish it & make it look like new. He retires to his room before lunch to work on some calligraphy.
Calligraphy Tools: 18
OOC: Let me know what Gerrard's share of the loot might be...
The headband is available for 300 gold. Xondros gives a dour and haughty look when Gerrard tries to bargain for polish. She is not about to haggle with the likes of you folks, and certainly not for cleaning supplies. While it could stand a little cleaning and polishing, the main trouble with the headband is its rather jarring use of color.
Gerrard's calligraphy is exquisite.
What were Peri's and Kei's decisions?
Does Dwal have any downtime errands to run? Or did he join the shopping expedition?
You returned to Saltmarsh in the early afternoon. The errands eat up the rest of the day. It is dark by the time you leave Xondros' unnerving office.
As to baths, well, Saltmarsh isn't exactly known for hygiene, especially in winter. There are no public baths. Lankus has a single tub at the inn available. Otherwise it's Kei's Prestidigitation or you may improvise with frigid seawater.
Peri is happy with the price for the croc skin, but regrets lugging the heavy (and smelly) snakeskins all over the swamp. He does accept her offer of a belt, indicating the skin of the snake that nearly killed him. "I know from experience that one'll wrap around more than once. If you can make me some boots to match the belt, I'll wear 'em as an act of revenge -- and because they'd look real nice too." ((If Kester accepts just give me a price and I'll deduct it from my sheet.))
At Winston's Peri will ask him to order some "real fancy, goin'-about-town clothes, like what the lordlings might wear to catch a lady's eye." He'll order 2 sets of fine clothing, specifying one set in a tasteful, subdued navy blue "for when I gotta look respectable, like meetin' another Queen. Didn't like havin' to present myself in dirty, patched-up gear." He asks for the other in a flashier crimson and cream, "for meetin' ladies of a less noble nature." ((Again, send me a price and I'll deduct it. I assume it'll be significantly more expensive than the PHB if Winston has to send out for them.))
He doesn't see anything of interest at Xondros's, and she gives him the willies so he'll just pay for the potions and head back to the Wicker Goat. He'll bring his account up to date (2 gp for the days they were gone, plus another for tonight), take the hottest bath he can manage, and tuck in to his first hot meal in days. He also asks Lankus about hiring help for their cottages. "We're plannin' on movin' in there soon, but none of us are cooks so we'll be needin' a housekeeper to manage things and make up a hearty dinner each day. Any suggestions for who might be willin' and able?"
((Dividing up our loot: 600gp for the skin + 80gp for the pearls - 250gp for the potions = 430gp. Divided 5 ways gives us 86gp each. Also add 1 Potion of Healing to your inventory.))
Winston specializes in leather and hide. For cloth, she refers you to several local tailors, located on the bridge (like where Kei just bought his new duds.)
However, if you're interested in a colorful or unusual leather outfit, Winston is happy to help. (They cost triple PHB prices. Custom outfits will take two days.)
A hireling cook will cost you one gold per day (a really good cook, 2 gp/day.) Lankus offers to find you somebody. Give him a day.
Upon waking one thing Dwal will do is compose his spell component list:
Lodestones. up to 12
pieces of fleece
holy water
soot
salt
2 pearls worth 100 gp ea.
2 owl feathers
rose petals
2 twigs from a lightning-struck tree
He will go out and try to find a place to buy these components. After his purchase, Dwal will use one of the pearls & owl feathers to Identify the staff. Dwal will spend the rest of the time before the meeting checking if the cottages are ready. If so he will browse for furniture until time for the meeting.
Gerrard invites you all to lunch, ostensibly to plan for the council meeting. With Dwal's help and a good scrubbing, he is back to looking rather dapper in his noble's outfit. Thanking Peri for taking care of the quartermastering, he buys lunch and says, "I know we don't have an official name for our adventuring group, and you have other jobs here in Saltmarsh as well, but I really appreciate your help and guidance as I learn to become an adventurer. I owe my life to each of you several times over, I am sure, and I am honored to call you friends."
With that, he pulls out beautifully crafted scrolls, personalized for each of you and sealed with his noble seal. You are recognized for your service to the crown and to Lord Gerrard Feldern specifically. This document grants you standing with the nobility as long as Gerrard remains in favor of the Duke--you may bear weapons in the presence of nobility and wear circlets or headbands in the presence of nobility or royalty (but not crowns). In addition, Gerrard presents Dwal with the magic headband, saying, "I wish I had gifts for all of you, but this one seems appropriate for you, Brother Fiercehammer, as it may boost your magic. Please accept this gift with my gratitude."
OOC: Subtracting 15 gp for the meal and the calligraphy materials plus some daily upkeep, if that seems about right.
Edited: Side conversation with Kei convinced me to have Gerrard give the headband to Dwal...
((Peri only asked for snakeskin boots from Kester's Leather Goods. PHB doesn't list a separate price for boots, but they're included in the 2gp cost of 'Traveler's Clothes', so maybe 5gp for some fancy custom boots? As for going to any Saltmarsh tailors, everything in this town is drab, bleak, and low-quality. I think Winston had offered to order some stuff from Seaton for us before, so I was hoping he'd be able to get Peri some party duds.))
Upon receiving his scroll from Gerrard he admires its artistry. "That's some nice pen work, nobleman. Can't say as I've ever received such a fine award." Trying to sound flippant, but it's apparent he's genuinely moved by the gesture. "Maybe we can start referring to ourselves as Lord Feldren's Brave Companions."
Kester is happy to throw in a couple of custom snakeskin boots for Peri - no charge - as extra thanks for bringing her the croc skin, and in hope that you may bring her more skins. Give her a couple of days. She promises to make them fancy.
Oceanus is much appreciative of his cut of the loot.
Dwal is able to gather his components - mostly quite cheaply - between the Green Market, the Dwarven Forge (lodestones, soot, salt), the Temple of Procan (holy water), and Winston's. Except where prices are noted, we can assume that the costs of these components are negligible and can be rolled into the daily lifestyle expenses. See your inventory for the properties of the staff.
The cottages are indeed ready, and partially furnished - beds, some crude built-in storage, a table. Sparse, but habitable. The crabs are completely gone (although there is evidence of rats in the dirt yard.)
You all get another long rest. Morning dawns to darkness and cold rain. You join Gerrard for a very special lunch.
Dwal's eyes open in surprise as the natural of the staff is revealed to him through the magic. "In all my years I never heard of such a thing." he mutters to himself.
Dwal will pet Bjorn. 'I ask ye to stay here lad, mind the room and hunt if ye want. I'll be back soon." With that Dwal will leave his room and find the others. Once he finds the party he will present the staff and say. "This be the oddest thing I ever heard of." as he reveals the nature of the staff to the party Wand of Wonder "We found it as a group so I present it to the party so if'n any of ye want to lay claim to it, it be yours," Dwal tells them.
Dwal graciously thanks Gerrard for his gift. "Thank ye lad, I'll wear it with some pride," he says (No matter how gaudy it looks :P)
"Well I never..." Holding Gerrard's scroll in his hands he scans over the finely penned document. "I've never received anything so official looking. Unless you count a summons."He stands, turns to Gerrard and bows as deeply as if he was standing in a grand court addressing a King and Queen. "My thanks Gerry. Now all I'm missing is my headband." The last said with a wry smile and a jab to the nobles shoulder.
With lunch over Kei, inspired by Gerrard's gift, produces his cittern and begins playing a jaunty tune. "Seems we're making a life here in the dankest town in all the world. I guess it's better than scratching out a living on the docks somewhere. Where to next gentlemen? We've quite the list of unfinished business."
As you sit down to tuck into Gerrard's rather expansive feast at the Goat, a tall half-orc approaches your table.
"Excuse me, gentlemen. I, uh, are you eating? My name is Vertheg. My employer Aubreck sends his greetings."
Verthef is lanky and has a single tusk that juts out from his lower jaw. His warty skin contrasts with his fine, neat clothing. He coughs and looks uncomfortable.
"He has a lot of money to offer. A big job. Would you have a few minute t' talk to him?"
Looking at Kei suspiciously, as if the man just summoned yet another option with his words, Gerrard says, "We have lots of options, gentlemen, and it seems like we are about to be offered one more. For my part, I would be interested in hearing what this goodman has to say, though we are already obligated to the Saltmarsh town council this evening."
OOC: Helping the Lizardfolk retake their homeland, dealing with the Xolor cult, maybe going back to the underground Dwarven Citadel, and now helping Aubreck out...Does that sound like our quest list?

Gerrard's sideways glance does not go unnoticed. Infact, Kei gives a smile and nod to the Lord as he listens to the the half-orcs awkward introduction. The mention of money causes Kei to hit an off note. He stops immediately. "How big of a job? More importantly, how much money?"
"Quite a lot, I expect. If you have some time after your lunch, Mr. Aubreck invites you to stop by his house," replies the half-orc butler, shifting his weight from side to side.
