With a muttered word and a small gesture, Dwal calls down a radiant flash of light upon the goblin (#3) he has eyes on.
The creature, aware of the descending light, tries his best to dodge it: 22
...and fails, taking 6 radiant damage. It shrieks and smokes.
Dead.
You catch glimpses of at least two more goblins (#4 and #5) , toting short bows, racing through the brambles, and disappearing into the brush.
Goblin #1 pops up and fires its crossbow at Qivys. Attack: 13 Piercing Damage: 6
It strikes, but luckily causes no injury to the stout dwarf. Qivys is taken slightly off guard by the new location of goblin #1 (some ten feet from where it was), but is fully prepared to fire back.
(Qivys may go now if he's still firing his crossbow as readied, then Peri may go.)
Peri can only see goblin #1 - the others have hidden themselves too well.
Qivys shoots a powerful bolt directly at goblin #1; it is turned only by a crude wooden shield the goblin has strapped to one arm. It grins at Qivys for a moment, then disappears into the scrub again.
Peri leaps gracefully off the cart and dives neatly into the underbrush. It is a maze of thick and mostly leafless brambles filled with natural voids and paths. You are successfully hidden from all, but the only goblin you still spy is #1. The others are not visible to anyone.
Missy tries again attempt at slowing down the racing horses. Animal Handling: 3
Ignoring Missy's clumsy attempts to control them, the horses continue racing up the south end of the valley, towards Saltmarsh, taking the wagon and Missy with them.
A roar again erupts somewhere in the distance, and another crash.
Qivys roars at the dismal scrub, to no apparent effect. Another distant crash echoes throughout the stunted woods.
Dwal paces impatiently and squints at the brush, seeking a target, but seeing none. He readies another spell. Peri is nowhere to be seen. Missy is still on the rapidly retreating wagon.
Goblin #1 doesn't surface, perhaps intimidated by Qivys' hot temper, but Goblins #4 and 5 do – they pop up suddenly and fire arrows - one each at Dwal and Qivys.
Goblin #4 vs. Qivys: Shortbow attack: 23 Piercing damage: 5 Goblin #5 vs. Dwal: Shortbow attack: 21 Piercing damage: 8
Both arrows hit their targets. Dwal calls down another radiant flame upon his attacker (Goblin #5). The goblin attempts to dodge it: 11 But it fails. It shrieks as it burns from the vivid, holy flames. Damage: 7
Both goblins vanish once again into the brambles, one now seriously wounded. Qivys and Dwal are again left with no visible targets.
Peri, on the other hand, can spy two from his vantage point in the pricker bushes - #1 and #4. Peri's up next.

Qivys
The head of the goblin appears ever so briefly as it makes its attack. Long enough though to see it's arrow hit home. Qiv reacts with an outheld hand and yells at his assailant "Not so fast little one"
You hear a shriek and a plume of smoke as Qivys' unseen bow-wielding attacker (#4) is briefly enveloped in hellish flames.
Peri witnesses the result - the goblin dodged the worst of the flames and survived, but with serious burns.
Peri is up - he sees the crossbow-wielding goblin #1 and a charred, bow-wielding goblin #4 from his position. They do not see him; Peri has advantage on attacks on them.
Peri quietly draws his sword and stalks the non-smoker. As the goblin is reloading his crossbow Peri lunges forward and stabs at the goblin's back. Shortsword attack14 for 9 damage. He follows the thrust with a kick to the goblin's head. Unarmed Strike 10 for 4 damage.
He shouts to the dwarves, "Two more of the slug-eaters over here!"
Peri lunges through the thicket at goblin #1. (Hidden, Peri had advantage; I'll roll again for the sword attack: 17 - and the kick: 23 )
Peri cleanly impales the hidden attacker with his shortsword.
Missy, meanwhile, distantly tries again to calm the rapidly retreating team. Animal Handling: 5
She fails to slow the team; the wagon goes over the hill to the south, and disappears from the view of the rest of the party.
A distant horn to the west blows, followed by more crashing.
Qivys and Dwal may act next, although they currently see nothing except the top of Peri's braided head. They know there are still two wounded bow-wielding goblins somewhere in the brambles, and Peri has brought your attention to their rough location, but the two dwarves may only attack with disadvantage.

Qivys
"What is that infernal racket? Horns and thumping. I hope it ain't reinforcements for these blasted critters."His concerns voiced, the topknot of his little mate gains his full attention. "Two more of the slug-eaters over here!"Taking aim to the side of the hairy marker, he lets a bolt fly.
Attack: 7 Damage: 2
((I think Qiv may have shot one of the escaping horses with that! ))

Dwal
Dwal, being the level headed dwarf he is, charges into the thicket where Peri seems to be engaged, using his shield as a wedge and yells "Moradin take you to the forge!"
He does this to try and distract the goblin more than anything. An attempt to gain tghe goblins attention and give Peri an advantage.
Peri yelps as the bolt tears through his trousers. "Stop shootin' at me, you cross-eyed dwarf! Aim at the green ones with the scraggly teeth!" Muttering "...not so well-endowed I need to lose any..." he readies an eldritch blast in case an ugly goblin head pops up.
Dwal and Peri stand chest deep in brambles; Qivys stands by the side of the road. All three scan the woods for signs of their retreating attackers; they see nothing but endless prickers and scrub, but hear the quiet, vague sounds of two small creatures moving away, perhaps thirty feet to the west. Missy has been driven over the top of the hill to the south and is no longer visible. Distant sounds of splintering crashes and deep roars can be heard much further to the west.
"I can't see these blighters. Sounds like they're runnin' off to the west, t'wards that racket. Let's say we head that way?" He stops suddenly aware of what's gone on around him. "Where'd the horses go? And Missy?"The last almost in shock. "Did they take her?" He looks around for signs of an abduction.
