Harmony would go to shops, wanting to buy a healing potion and some rations. If she can get them through Amin's shop, she would very much like to do that. After which, she would then hear Garu and Simeon talk about getting mounts that would do the work for them, agreeing. "Yeah, I could use a little break from walking." she said back as she smiled and followed, really wanting to ride on a horse as well.
Harmony leads you to a cluttered little shop with Amin's Oddities scrawled above the door. A quirky middle-aged human man with long, tangled brown hair looks up with a start.
"It's you! You actually came back, and...brought friends! Welcome to Amin's Oddities!" he practically shouts. Much of the shop's displays are filled with useless trinkets, but the man has all of the rations and rope that the party needs, and is able to point you to a nearby apothecary where potions of healing can be purchased alongside healer's kits, and a stable that sells sleek riding horses for 75 gold pieces and bulkier draft horses for 50 gold pieces.
OOC: It looks like character sheets have already been updated. Please confirm if the items were already added to your sheets and whether coinage was removed.
Is everyone purchasing a mount? There are also ponies and mules for sale if you want to go cheaper, and warhorses if you want to go all out.
Simeon takes a few minutes to look over the riding horses. When he's satisfied that he's found the right one, he hands over seventy-gold pieces to Armin. The wood elf then picks out a bit and bridle, saddlebags, and, lastly, a riding saddle.
((Yes, Simeon's character sheet has been updated and the appropriate amount of gold removed for the previous items (healer's kit, rations, and silk rope) and the current items: horse (75 gp), bit and bridle (2 gp), saddlebags (4 gp), and riding saddle (10 gp).))
(OCC: Never updated mine, the one healing potion Harmony already has was from a previous purchase somewhere else. So this would be a new purchase of another healing potion and rations, along with a riding horse, bit and bridle, saddlebag, and riding saddle.)
Harmony nodded as she had heard Amin, smiling. She buys the rations she wants and the healing potion she wants before going to the stable. She will pick whichever is the cutest/prettiest or most friendly riding horse, paying the money for it along with all the needed supplies like the bit and bridle, saddlebags, and a riding saddle; of course choosing by looks.
Garu will get a riding horse, bit and bridle, saddlebags, a riding saddle, and feed. She will also buy a new bedroll. "Thinking of buying a mule to handle the load for the feed. Anyone want to go in on it with me?"
OOC: her purpose is two-fold - she will ride the horse but also wants a way to distribute her belongings to avoid the burden of encumbrance.

OOC: I haven't updated mine either, but already have two healing potions . . . Abraxas will buy two more and then a riding horse, bit and bridle, saddlebag, and saddle.
"A good idea, Garu. I'll contribute," Abraxas says.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
OOC: Thanks all. The potions on your sheets matched the number you were buying, so I wanted to double check and make sure I wasn't doubling up.
Added a potion of healing, bit and bridle, saddlebags, riding saddle and riding horse to Harmony's inventory and removed 141 gp.
Added a riding horse, bit and bridle, saddlebags, riding saddle and bedroll to Garu's inventory and removed 92 gp.
Added two potions of healing, riding horse, bit and bridle, saddlebags, and riding saddle to Abraxas's inventory and removed 191 gp.
I've also added the mule to Garu's character sheet and removed 2 gp from each character's sheet, assuming that Harmony is also pitching in and that it is an even split.
The riding horses and mule have been added to the "Extras" tab of your character sheets. Their health is below:
Two questions remaining and then I think we're ready to set out for Turmaether. If it is a two week journey, you will either need at least 14 days of rations or somebody will need to try to forage along the way (bear in mind that the horses will need enough food as well):
How many days of rations does Harmony wish to purchase? How many days of feed does Garu wish to purchase?
Simeon readies his horse and the mule for the long road ahead. As he does so, he taps his longbow and says to the others, "It seems likely we'll need to supplement our rations as we travel."
Abraxas prepares his house as well. His actions show that he knows a tiny bit about how to handle animals. He transfers most of his books into the saddle bags, folds up one of his satchels for another saddle bag, but continues to wear the other satchel containing his spell book.
"That's a good point, Simeon," he says. "Your bow can almost certainly out distance most of my spells, but I'm happy to try and help."
(OCC: Harmony would buy 14 days worth of rations.)
Harmony had chosen a pretty white horse, transferring her stuff into the saddlebags and getting her horse ready. "I'm gonna call you Snow." she said happily to her horse, petting her as she then heard Simeon and nodded back.
OOC: Added 14 days of rations from Harmony's inventory and removed 7 gp. "Snow" is now named on the character sheet.
Waiting for confirmation on how many days of feed Garu is purchasing and then we can continue.
In the meantime, let's establish a new marching order for travel since Aisha has left and Simeon has joined. The front rank will be making Survival checks to lead the party. The back rank will be making Perception checks to watch for danger. The middle rank can be doing any other travel activity (making a map for the way back, foraging for food, etc.). Multiple people can be in any rank, and the only rank that is required is the front rank.
"Allow the new member of the group to purchase the feed,"offers Simeon. "Four horses and a mule...that's fifty pounds per day. Fourteen days or so of travel? Seven hundred pounds then."
The wood elf hands over three gold coins and five silver ones, and says to the group, "Let the mule carry as much as it can, then we'll divide the rest among our horses."
(Simeon will offer to lead; +7 Survival; 150' range w/ longbow)

OOC: Added 3 days of rations to Garu's inventory and removed 1 gp and 5 sp.
I'll assume that Garu is occupying the bank rank in lieu of leaving it empty, but if she would prefer an activity in the middle rank, just let me know.
Simeon Survival: 8
Simeon proves to be a confident tracker as you begin your journey eastward. The weather is dry and the sun warm in the blue air, but a crisp breeze rolls off of the sea to the north, chilling you to your bones at night as you enter lands still laden with snow outside of Lyrikav. Garu and Mro Jus Bur keep a rear guard throughout the first week of the trek, the pair of Kitsune's watchful eyes spotting no threats beyond seals and walruses basking in the sun during the day. Through it all, Harmony's voice and Mro Jus Bir's flute provide a wonderful and cheerful accompaniment.
A fire is lit at the end of the first week of travel, as it is each night to keep warm in what Mro Jus Bir calls the Mannaz Tundra. The bard jots notes into his book in the glow of the firelight before everyone heads to their separate sleeping arrangements. "You know, I have spent so much time writing the songs with Harmony during this journey that it has only now crossed my mind. If this is to be an epic tale, it cannot have blank heroes! I would like to know more, so I can pen you into legend," he says, before peppering the party with questions.
"Simeon, this gnome that you speak of that raised you - how did he find you? Was he kind to you? What did you learn from him as an elf growing in a small gnome's world?"
"Harmony and Abraxas, I did not believe it at first, but your mannerisms, your accents, your actions all speak truth to your claim of coming from another world. It is bewildering, yet...I must know more about it, for my songs. What did you two do on that world, before coming here? What has called you here?"
"Garu, in my time I have learned beneath every paladin is either a boring slab of a personality, or a traumatic experience that forms the basis of their oath. As you are not boring, and I have never seen a slab so beauteous, I must ask, why are you so steadfast in spreading Tylyn's light?"
"Po was his name,"begins Simeon. "I awoke, with an aching head in an unfamiliar place: small, tidy, filled with the scent of strange food, and, in the next room, the sound of a voice singing in an unfamiliar tongue. That is my first memory of Old Po."
Simeon stretches and leans back against a tree as he continues. "Po found me, shivering and bleeding from a wound to the head, in the woods near his home in Ersetsu. I was an orphan but did not know it at the time. An evil that befell that land destroyed my family as I fled in terror. Running like a frightened animal through the dark, I stumbled over some rocks and tumbled into a small ravine where Po found me in the morning. Was he kind? Indeed he was. A bit quirky but definitely kind."
Simeon pauses, sifting through memories, looking for the ones that will best encapsulate his experience of growing up within the gnome's world. "What did I learn? Much. To read, speak, and write not only Gnomish but Elvish as well. Po made certain I knew the language of my true kin. I learned to be inquisitive and to understand that contradictions are everywhere and that things and people are not always what they seem to be. And whatever it is I do, to do it without wavering and with full intent."
The wood elf adjusts his bedroll and then finishes his response to Mro Jus Bir. "Eventually, the nudge to be inquisitive led me to asking Po about visiting the burial site of my family. I expected that Po would lead me to a small cluster of trees, under which my family would have been buried according to the custom of wood elves. Po somberly explained that he could lead me to no such place. He feared the necromancer that had attacked Ersetsu made certain that my parents and siblings never experienced true, natural death. Which means, of course...they may yet live--if one can use such a word to describe the undead."
A chill ruffles through Mro Jus Bir's fur as he scribes Simeon's tale. "I look forward to someday hearing the conclusion of such a somber tale," he says.
OOC: Awaiting answers from Abraxas, Garu, and Harmony before continuing.
