Skip would turn and look to Ulfgar. "Well.. What will it be Mr. Ulfgar? It is a fair deal but if you want to keep Beauty.. maybe we could walk her with us up the pass..." He would say before turning his sbaggy head to look towards the nearby commotion.
OOC: this is the last post about horse sales. Am I missing RP exchange somewhere?

Sometimes a Nat 1 tells a better story than a Nat 20 ever could.
Brace listens and says "So Miss Feya and Mr Haaken, what will be the offer for the horses at this point? I'm sure we can come to an amicable settlement." (Whatever it is, as long as it isn't less than the last offer, he will agree to it.)
"We move on I think," Haakon replied moving now to the party and looking over Skip as well as Ulfgar. "Taking the pass over the mountain then," he asks looking at the two of them before examining the horses and then back at the party members. "Wise," he says going to each horse and giving it a once over as does the other men whose with him, they are younger looking but the three look very much like brothers. "I'll pay 45 each animal and track but not a coin more," he adds next holding his hand out for Skip to shake.
OOC: 5 horses at 45 gp a piece is 225 gp OR wait for the pass to clear.
Brace thinks for a minute and says "Sounds like we had a bargain and I wasn't paying attention. You get the horses and we get a little to help with expenses." Brace takes the money and hands over the horses to the Dwarf.
Ulfgar comes to terms that selling Beauty is the only option since no one will watch her. He pats her on the neck "We've had a magical albeit short time together, Beauty. But our journey together ends here. I'm sure these lovely people will take good care of you."Ulfgar leaves Beauty with the rest of the horses. "Take the offer fellas"

"I suppose i should ask. Where is it you lot are heading?" Ast finally brings the hood of his blue cloak down showing a head of what can only be described as a rat's nest of hair. Astral also finally slips his large black book back into his bag and checking the security of a handful of pouches he has attached to his belts. Absent minded, he checks to make sure all the spell components are in the right pouches though paying much more attention to the group

"Sounds like we got a deal" Skip would say to the merchant as he extends his hand for a handshake. once he is handed the coins, he would divide them up agong his companions, giving Ulfgar his share of the horse coin as well. "Here mr. Ulfgar. Perhaps you can buy her back on the return trip of we finish the job fast enough. I don't need the extra coin so you can have my share." Skip would say before looking to the others. "Are we ready to go?"
"I believe so," Keth answered Skip. He turned to Astral, "We were hired to track and eliminate a group of raiders that could be operating in this area. We are unsure of their exact territory but this pass is highly likely. We are going to try through the tunnel and if that does not pan out we are going to walk the overland trail back."
He extends his hand in greeting, "Keth by the way."
Brace also addresses Astral. "As I said before, we are heading for potential danger and, as my friend Keth says, we are looking for bandits. We have actually been hired to recover items that have been stolen. I hope you are comfortable with this because we could use your help. We had another friend who had to turn back at the last minute and that has left us a bit short handed."
Astral smiles and takes Keth's hand shaking it happily. "My name is Astral and I would be happy to help you guys. I've been looking for a chance like this I was told something like this could be coming." Asral is done messing with his bags and takes in his new companions with a smile. Feeling oddly excited for whatever is coming

"Your bard has joined folks moving back to the city. She told me to wish the party luck," he explains. "Shall we head to the caverns? I'm curious to see how accurate my father's maps remain," he explains having sold his mount elsewhere and is now on foot too.

As it seems his habit, Keth eyes the cartographer and the weapons he carried. It was in the half-orcs nature to assess a person's combat abilities, he usually did not even know he did it most times.
"Yes, we should be set, I will lead the way," he said as he turned toward where the tunnels were told to have been. Everyone could notice that he carried his greatsword in his hand, gripping the scabbard, and not affixed to his back.
Skip would move along side his companions, walking briskly and keeping his eyes open for new threats. His short swords would hang on his belt as his hand crossbow and other tools and daggers remained relatively hidden inside his leather vest.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Brace divides the money evenly between those still in the group. (Should be 225/5 = 45 each). He is moving with the group and cautious as well: perception15

Ulfgar moves to the head of the pack and wields his sword (Faithkeeper) and shield and will lead the others. "May the grace and light of the great goddess illuminate our path and fell any danger that comes to us."

Skip would Take the glowing rock with a smile. "Thanks mr. Astral, My eyes don't work in the dark so well.." He would say before moving up front next to Ulfgar. "I'll try to keep my eyes peeled for threats so long as you promise to hit anything that tries to get me alright" The boy would say with a smile as he holds the glowing rock out in front of himself. He would hold his other hand on the fine leather hilt of his short sword.

The cave entrance, although large, makes the party feel oddly close. There's are rocky formations coming from below and above. It's damp and colder the further the party enters.
