“Oh, okay. My apologies. I’ll be going then” I’ll turn and leave and head to sow’s foot to see if I can discover anything new about the slaughterhouse.
The guard watches after you as you pass between the buildings, on your way to Sow's foot. THough you could have avoided paying the fare by traveling along the city wall, barely anyone does so, as the country is rough and the terrain broken up, with plenty of loose rocks providing ample shelter for all sorts of critters, but also providing refugee for the true outcasts of Borogrod.
After arriving in Sow's Foot, you're quickly maade uneasy by the smell of blood in the air. After several days of non-stop butchering of seemingly any and all life-stock in Sow's Foot, the air is heavy with the metallic scent. As you Approach one of the slaughterhouses, you see several burly men posted outside, seemingly for security, though you can't make out any uniforms that would indicate them to be Watch or Fist.

I walk toward the slaughterhouse saying as I approach “Beautiful day isn’t it? I’ve come to see if there are any odd jobs around here I could help with. Seems there’s been a lot of work done around here judging by the ‘taste’ in the air.” I then look each of them over for any valuables that might be easily lifted from them and look around the area to see if there are any more people in sight.
The cleanliness and altogether untouched atmosphere further strengthens Terin's resolve that he chose well in joining the resistance. These folks revel in luxury while the citizens as a whole are mistreated.
He moves and shows up early to his appointment. He has no problem waiting in order to observe inside the estate to allow him deductions to use during conversations.

Uncle, at first you hear very little, only that Magnus seems to be into a mix of illegal activities, never with great success however. He's been arrested a couple of times, but so far was lucky enough never to get arrested for anything serious. Without much more to go on, you're about to call it quits, when a fence down in Brampton tells you about a forger in Eastway, going by Parker Silverleaf, who's been asking around about Magnus as well.
Two more contacts, and you know the address of this Silverleaf, and are on your way to meet him, and hear what he has to say. The notary office you were told about throws you a little, but then it made sense that someone on the other side of the "law" had a good cover story. It looked like this Parker Silverleaf was no amateur, at least.

Someowhat confused, Terin follows the butler up the stairs, and into the study. As expected, there was a big portly man, with greying hair and a short, still black, beard. Much to his surprise however, he also found a Woman here. Before he can say anything, Caldwell speaks:

The Bannerless Legion is a minor mercenary Company acting out of Borogrod. Usually, they're hired as private security for Merchant Caravans or fleets, but with the war, most trade had come to a stop, meaning they didn't have much to do, other than the odd Bodyguard job.
The mercenary smiles again: "The name's Silas, and yeah, though in truth I only work fer meself. That's what makes me a mercenary I guess. An' all I know 'bout this is that we get Paid ta stand around only when the guard's stretched thin. Me guess- The imperial army is concentrating West o' here to drive the Skins into the sea. “Well thank you Silas. Any idea why the guard is stretched thin?” I ask inquisitively looking at him earnestly for an answer. While waiting for his response I’ll survey the area around the slaughterhouse to see if there’s an upper window that may be open. Or at least a less watched approach.

Though you can't make out any open Windows, you do spot several large chimneys on top of the slaughterhouse. or rather, you notice that there's no smoke rising from them, meaning that the fires below aren't lit. If you wanted to get inside, that might be a way.
