Pondering Parker’s statement for a moment. I’ll say aloud, more like an externalized thought, than an actual question to Parker. “No need to track down the shipping company then I suppose. If you’re familiar with them.” Then directed toward Parker. “Where do you suggest we check first? My suspicion is they’ll be at the Watch Citadel or Seatower. I’ll explore Seatower to try and locate them if you’re okay with checking either of the other two places. Perhaps asking Magnus for his assistance in checking the third place is a decent idea.” Taking another sip of the coffee to wake myself I look to Parker for his insight.
“Are the orders you’ve drafted up enough to get us on the boat to get the food and medicine?” I inquire of Parker. ‘The whole reason to track down a blaze was to get one of their seals. ... maybe we don’t need it though.’ I think while waiting for Parker to respond.
“Let’s get ready to meet Magnus I suppose. If we strike the ship tonight we can do it during my guard shift. That way there’s one less pair of eyes that might see us.” I think make my way toward tumbledown to leave the message for Magnus and make my way to the Stubborn Mule where I order a couple of ales to pass the time while waiting for Magnus. I’ll keep my eyes peeled for any easy targets to pick pocket while traveling the city. (Parker is of course welcome to tag along)
As you make your way to the Stony Gate to head to Sow's Foot, you notice that there's an increase in foot patrols around Eastway, with one or two fists accompanying several of Watch members. With them nearby, Dart thinks better than attempting to pickpocket people nearby, and you make your way outside the city and onwards to the outer districts. As per usual, the guards all seem to have remained within the city, and you only meet one patrol of two Watch members heading back to the city from a patrol walk around the walls.
The Stubborn Mule is quite full today, with a broad mix of clientele in the bar tonight. It doesn't take long for Magnus to show up for the meeting, but he's not alone. Alongside the grizzled dwarf stands a short human woman with fair skin, green eyes and fiery red hair. "Good to see you all, I take it you made progress on what we discussed? I wanted you to meet Blair here... she's been a help to mine before, and she can be very persuasive." With a nod, she invites Blair to introduce herself to the halfling and the half-elf before her.

Although short and petite, Blair held herself tall and with confidence. You could hear the sound of her boots hit the ground with command as she stepped her way over, and that's because she wanted you to hear her coming. The redhead's approach was firm, yet graceful as she swayed, accompanying Magnus with her arm linked in his as if she were escorting him and not the other way around. She'd be lying to herself if she said she didn't feed off being lead in with their mysterious leader. And as they'd come to a stop in front of the pair, her hand would pet the dwarfs bicep absentmindedly as her green eyes would fall over the halfing and half-elf. Blair wore a sly smile, following up Magnus' introduction of her with a playful wink after he says his last word. "Pleasure, boys."
Blair:
Blair would pull herself from Magnus' side, almost reluctantly. She'd pad a couple steps forward. She'd bend at the hip to get a closer look at the halfling. The smirk would grow on her lips. "Lucky me." She'd straighten her posture again, placing her hands on her hips to look him up at down for a good moment before relaxing her arms once again. The redhead would then glance over to the half-elf. Her head would tilt before she'd take a few steps to circle him. It was his turn for her to look him up and down. "Hmm." Would be all that would leave her lips, her smirk unwavering before she'd find her way back to Magnus' side.
Blair would then pull out a chair to take a seat, crossing her legs before leaning onto the table with her elbows and hands folded. She'd rest her chin on her hands almost expectantly before gesturing for the others to take a seat. "How about we start with a little ale?" She'd smile.
Parker also looks the newcomer up and down. Committing every detail to memory. Then sits. "Ale would be good" as he watches this newcomer and Magnus listening intently
“Agreed” I say looking at the trio, well into my second cup. “Gavin! ‘Nother round over here please.” Motioning to the three people sitting next to me. Getting straight to business I look at Blair, “I get the feeling your more than just a pretty face. How can we help you ... or rather how is it you can help us?” I watch her intently as she responds to my question.
Blair would lean back in her seat and drape her arm over the back of her chair, almost as if to lay herself out for their eyes to look her over. She had nothing to hide, and all to show. A large grin would grow across her lips as they’d take a seat, the light foot already tending to her ask. Her crossed leg would playfully bounce, tilting her toe occasionally as she’d look over the pair and wait for Gavin to retrieve their their ale.
When the halfling would get straight to business, his opening line would cause Blair’s eyebrow to pop and a soft chuckle barely escapes her lips. She’d bite her bottom lip, keeping her mouth sealed for a moment. She didn’t have to wait long in silence for their half elf to chime in. Her eyes would glance over to Magnus, almost longingly, waiting for him to take his seat within arms reach, and for them to truly get to business.
At this time the bartender would return with the round for the table and Blair would smile sweetly, thanking him for her serving before tugging him a little closer to her so she could whisper in his ear. She’d then let go, letting him be on his way.
Blair would eventually look back to Dart, then move to meet Parker’s gaze, “Darling, I can be whatever you desire.” Her smirk never wavered. Her eyes would look back to Dart. “Tell me what you need.”
Having waited for Magnus to supply an answer, without one immediately forthcoming, I’ll speak directly to Blair while attempting to give Parker a few slaps to keep him from choking on his ale.
“Seeing as how Magnus is vouching for you ... at least he seems to be. We,” I gesture between myself and Parker, “are about to try and get some food and hopefully medicines right from under the nose of the Fist.” I’ll watch Blair with steely and, as of yet, untrusting eyes for her reaction to causing trouble for the Fist before continuing.
“As I understand things, Parker and I, were just brought into the fold of Magnus’s ...” I give a quick glance around the room to ensure no one is listening before continuing, “resistance group. As I asked before Parker he started choking due to your wit... What skill set do you bring to the table?” I’ll interlace my fingers and rest my chin on my thumbs with my pointer fingers covering my mouth after speaking. All the while looking intently at Blair trying to discern any deception with her response.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
When Dart would mention Magnus, her eyes would glance back at him. Should he not be sitting, she'd motion with her finger for him to come take his seat. Blair would switch her crossed legs and rest her free hand above his knee, occasionally grazing her nails on the inside. He and Parker seem to be men of few words, but at least Dart wasn't. The halfling now had her attention, eyes and ears. The redhead would place her mug back down on the table as he spoke of the mission, and listen contently. It definitely sounded exciting and right up her alley, like Magnus promised. Her hand would graze up his thigh.
Perhaps she could get her hand on a hefty coin sack.
Sleight of hand: 20
Blair would lean in onto the table with her ale hand to meet Dart halfway and to listen more intently. Her smirk hadn't wavered, resting her chin in the palm of her hand as he'd entice her with promise of adventure and well placed flattery. The redhead would look at him and her smirk would turn into a genuine smile. She appreciated him leading the charge on the meeting in their leaders absence. Parhaps cat caught his tongue? She'd answer Dart. "Magnus wasn't lying when he said I could be persuasive. I'm quick with my tongue, but that's not all I can be quick with. I'm capable of defending myself should pleasure turn sour." She'd pause, knowing it wasn't enough. So she'd let out a playful little sigh. "I'd hate to give up all my bag of tricks right away."
Magnus rolls his eyes, as Blair plops Dart's coin purse onto the table. "You're good, but enough with the games... Dart, Parker, I think your plan might work for the food, but what about the medicines? Looks to me you won't have a way around getting someone on board that shouldn't be. She is both... persuasive... and sneaky, so I figure she will find her own way on board, providing you with someone there that can help if things go south, or take care of the medicines once the main guards are busy taking you on your inspection."
At that, he gives Blair a look, to let her know that he trusts her abilities and wasn't willing to discuss her trade secrets and contacts, if she wasn't comfortable sharing them.
"Think of her as an ace in the hole."
