Stockspool raises a single eyebrow, then nods. "Very well. Carry on."
As the party is discussing how to procure a wagon and load the Adamantine fragment onto it, Darathra rushes in to the campground.
"There you are! Phew, what a battle. We've got the fires out, all the wounded are tended to, the slain are accounted for. Now to take care of these giant bodies. And what have you found there? Is that what they were digging for?" And she motions to the Vonindod fragment.
Baeshra looks at the giant bodies with a flat eyed look of calculation, "I could start dressing them out for you. There is certainly plenty of food on them, but perhaps a little tough? Stew maybe... I will think on it." As for the giant hunk of metal, he'd absolutely try and get it on a wagon to take with them, the dwarven stronghold sounds like a great destination.
Darathra replies. "Ah...no, thank you though. We will take care of the giant corpses. Corpsi? The bodies of the fire giants. What is this hunk of metal? Is that what they were digging for?"
"Yes, it appears to be part of an ancient relic, obviously of great importance - this is why we wish to remove it to safety, to keep your town from falling under attack again." Umbriel starts eyeing pieces of timber in the rubble that could be used as ramps to get the object loaded onto the cart.
She turns around and speaks to a tall man with grey hair for a moment.
"I'll get a wagon over here that you can borrow to haul this thing away. And we'll get a crew to load it up."
"You know, it is odd that the fire giants could make it this far into the Valley without me receiving some kind of warning. I want to make sure my organization is aware of the gravity of the situation."
She removes a platinum badge from her pouch and hands it over.
"Please, take this to Everlund and give it to Dral Thelev. He's a one-eyed half orc, and also the proprietor of Danivarr's House in Everlund. He will know what to do and inform the proper people in the Harpers."
She looks over the group. "Are any of you members of the Harpers?"
"I think we can. It's on the way to Citadel Felbarr, isn't it? I've not traveled that far east before; is there a particular danger on that road we should be aware of?"
Darathra nods then takes a swig of Whistler's Firewater.
"Indeed it is on the way. As far as danger goes, normally I would say just the usual hazards. But these days..." she looks around at the carnage before continuing. "...it is hard to say."
The man returns with a wagon and a crew and they begin loading the adamantine onto the wagon.
Darathra asks "Where are you going to take this? Nevermind, I don't want to know. Out of town is best."
"We will get it loaded up, you better get your supplies straightened away."
As she leaves, Umbriel will subtly lift a finger to point at Darathra, and cast Message - he'll say in a whisper, "Do you trust Stockspool not to betray us? He seemed very interested in the artifact. You can reply to this message."
When alone with the group again, Umbriel will relay the details of his brief conversation and add "I still don't trust him thoroughly, but at least it appears that he won't be a threat on the road."
With the remainder of the day, Umbriel will set up his shopping list for the journey ahead. He'll buy two ten-day worth of rations, and an equal amount of feed for Pale.
Baeshra will try and see about getting an extra mule for the wagon to switch out with Pale, reasoning that it might be easier if both mounts were the same size as well as allow Umbriel to ride his horse again, as well as some more feed. (Did anyone else have/want to ride a horse themselves? If we're doing a lot more distance traveling, might be handy. Baeshra would ride the wagon as riding a horse might be anatomically difficult for someone with a tail.) He'd be good leaving immediately, but would spend the night if the others wanted, suggesting they keep watch and leave before sun up if that was the decision.
Everlund and Citadel Felbarr are along the Evermoor Way, east of Triboar.
Everlund is about 250 miles from Triboar, or about 10.25 days on the road.
Umbriel, 10 days worth of rations are 5 gold.
10 days worth of feed per animal is 5 silver.
Baeshra, another mule is 8 gold, and easy to find in Triboar.
Ireniana, you are able to obtain a nice Longbow for 50 gold.
Droop also gets two 10 days's worth of rations, and buys 3 more quivers of arrows.
Between Pale, the two mules, the cart and the wagon, there is plenty of room to hold all of this stuff. Rations and other equipment is piled on the wagon on top of the Adamntine to hide it.
After procuring supplies and packing things up, the party makes their way back to the Norshield Inn. It still smells of smoke, but repairs are underway, and there wasn't too much damage done.
Urgala is very excited to see you. "Staying the night? Your previous rooms weren't damaged in the attack, so you can have them again!" (5 gold total for the night and dinner).
"What is all of this you have with you? Did you hear about Narth, poor fellow! What will you do now after defeating those nasty giants?"
Umbriel looks at Urgala, an unexpected and unexplained feeling of kinship passes over him, just for a moment. "We've got a long journey ahead. We feel that this was not an isolated incident, and we need answers if we're to act decisively. It won't be long before the giants figure out their plan here was thwarted, and we've got to stay one step ahead of them. And as I'm sure you know, they take large steps." Umbriel drops two platinum in her hand and says "For the rooms and board of fare, plus a little extra to help pay for repairs."

" Never been able to hold a tune, meself."
"Tunes are my thing, as are harps and while I know a story or two about the Harpers, I can not say that I have ever meet one."

That can be done. Ireniana wanted a longbow as well.
Anyone else need supplies?
Are you going to set out right away, or spend the night in Triboar?

(I think a night in a good inn and setting out at first light would be best, personally, but that's just me - I'll go with the group decision)
