Hastings will float around the dock, making sure to go slow so that he can look for anything that he can slip through to find his way into the building. Mainly he will look for either a window or even an arrow slit.
Hastings: As you float around the back side of the fort, you see all of the windows and doors are shut or boarded up, however this doesn't look like a new thing. Everything looks weathered from the wood to the stone with cobwebs in various corners of the windows and doors. In your current cloud form, you could easily slip under any of the doors or through the large amount of cracks in the windows. You can see the main door in the back, a large boarded up window to the left section of the building and a large window higher up in the tower on the right as well.
Hastings will make his way through the main door so he can try see if that would be a viable option for the group to enter through. If he sees know enemies around he will return to his normal form and see if the door is locked or trapped.
Hastings: You float up from the dock and billow through the bottom, top, and several cracks in the door to see a set of stairs leading up and veering off to the left.
(OOC: Sorry, i had looked at the map wrong and thought a door was there from the dock, but it's supposed to just be an opening to the stairs, just making it be an old rickety door for flavor.)
Hastings will float about for a while longer to find a way inside and once he does he will then return to the group to let them know what he has found.
(With that Nat 1 he just noticed the door is a door...)
Hastings: Floating up the stairs and around the corner, you find the passageway does a 180 and goes up some more stairs to a fortified door at the top. You can tell that you could pass through the cracks easily.
Zogar, while nowhere near as strong as slightly less strong than Hrothgar, is still proud of his physique and puts in extra effort to ensure that the rope never goes taut. He understands his leader's need to cover all contingencies, but he also strives to show his worth and competence.
Hastings: You make it up to the door and listen, but you hear nothing from the other side of the door. You go back down to the dock and see that your group has made it halfway across the large lake and moving decently fast towards the dock. (OOC: You move VERY fast in cloud form)
Everyone else: You have made great haste crossing the lake and the fort is in full view now. You see Hastings floating over the dock in his cloud form currently. The lake is quiet other than a small breeze blowing from the south. You continue on and after what seems like an eternity, your boats glide in to the sides of the dock.

As the boats reach the docks sooner than Hrothgar expected he looks around as all seems quiet still. He nods at the others as an ok to get off the boat as everyone will stay on the docks around Hastings while he transforms back.
Hastings will go up to the door for now and then return to the party to relay the small amount he has seen.
Hearing what Hastings has found on top of the stairs Hrothgar whispers. Hmm.. We dont know what we would be walking into behind that door.
Looking around and remembering the aerial view from the scrying he looks up the wall towards where the shrine with the water appeared to be.
Zogar, walk up that wall(using your boots)and listen if you hear anything before reaching the top, if not take a peek. Perhaps you can get a rope up there for us to climb up.It might avoid guards behind main entrances.
Lia, see if you can detect any specific sources of magic here. I dont want us to be watched.
Meanwhile Hrothgar will check on Hastings to see if hes good to go after the changing process.
(ooc: Would they hear any sounds of battle at this point or has the assault on the front not started as far as they can tell?)
Zogar walks up the wall as quietly as he can...in plate mail.
Stealth with disadvantage: 9
Near the top he stops to listen:
Perception: 27
If he hears something, he'll try to discern what it is. If nothing is heard, he'll walk over the edge and will secure a rope and drop it down. He has 2 50' lengths of silk rope and a climbers kit, so he'll fasten the harness to the end in case someone needs it. He has pitons and a hammer, but ideally he'd be able to tie the rope around something rather than risk the noise of hammering into stone.
If someone needs help, he'll assist by pulling the rope up while they're harnessed in.
While the group is ascending, if he's not hauling the rope he'll stand in a shadow and keep watch.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Hastings will move to stand near others as they go about looking around. He will return to the door he had seen in his cloud form and begin to look it over for signs of if it is either locked or trapped.
(OOC: The fort is not massive, you are sure that if a party of ten heroes was waging war on the undead you would probably hear something by now.)
Zogar: You walk as stealthily as you can up the wall, which basically means only some mild metal scraping together as you ascend. As you get towards the top, you don't hear anything coming from the roof or anywhere nearby other than a gentle lapping of water and you proceed to pull yourself over the side to the top through the weeds and grass that has grown up over the years. You see a large statue representing Helm holding a bucket and water is gently cascading out of it even now. Where the water is coming from is a mystery. You find a rather large boulder that has been placed as dressing for the small pond that has been built up here and are able to tie your rope around it and toss it over to the side for your friends.
Hastings: Examining the door, you find it is neither locked or trapped and can be opened easily.
Lia: You climb up the rope and get to the top and you can see the bucket in the statues hands has some kind of conjuring magic on it, apparently to make the water keep flowing.

Aerdeth steps up next to Hrothgar, his voice low.
"I'll go up with Zogar Lia and keep an eye out with them. From what I saw of the scry, this door will probably put us in a breezeway between a courtyard and that tower."
With that, he taps the toe of his boots on the ground, causing them to begin to levitate. He begins to glide quietly through the air, keeping his body near the contours of the the building. Though, as comfortable as he was in his armor, he was not a student of the subtle arts.
(Stealth, if necessary: 7)
Upon landing comparatively effortlessly -but no more silently- next to his old friend he cracks a grin and a whisper.
Zogar gives a resigned shrug. "I'm a half-orc wearing magical plate mail, carrying a large magic shield and wearing bedroom slippers into combat. If I don't occasionally walk up a wall, people will start staring."
He smiles at his friend and goes back to his watch.

Hastings nods as he moves to go back into the cloud form and begin floating across the water to scout ahead.
(OOC: I'll try to make a better grid map tonight at home, but here is the initial one if you want to let me know where you are planning to go.)
Fort Helm

Dock Stairs 2
Hastings will go up to the door for now and then return to the party to relay the small amount he has seen.
Meanwhile Hrothgar will be rowing in the first boat having the rope attached to the second boat in tow moving across the lake.
Keep an eye out for Hastings, and let me know when we are in view of the fort. He says as steadily brings back the oars.
Lia and Emma will be keeping a lookout.

"Always the earnest one, eh, Zogar?"
Another medical problem. Indefinite hiatus. Sorry, all.
