As Tex calls out, you can hear movement coming from further ahead. Two dwarves cautiously peek out from the nearest pile of rubble in the area ahead.
"Auucchhh, praise Moradin!" one of them says, "Help has arrived!"
"WOT!" says the other dwarf, a bit miffed. "How do ye know they're not here to kill us! We can't trust them!"
"Bweh! Are ye daft, lad! Look at em! They look like adventurers! And we need their help!" says the first one.
The second one eyes you all suspiciously. The first one approaches you all.
"Hallo my tall friends, i'm Dazlyn. That.." he points to the gruff one. "..is Norbus. Your timing couldn't have been better. We were about to cancel our expedition, we didn't know what to do! We're not fighters!"
Howdy, my name is Tex Arkana,(Tex will put a hand out for a shake) my mountain of a goliath here is Gareth, this is Vi with the raven, that's iri with the toy, and Lanarial is over there? (will edit Lanarial's position if he chooses to remain hidden). We're here to warn you of impending danger from a white dragon that has taken up residence in the mountains in the area.(Tex will turn back to the dwarves) Now, you said there was some trouble here?
"Ooh dwarves!" Iri exclaims as she hurries forward to them. "Hi, I'm Iridansa. We are adventurers. We were sent here to inform you of a dragon that is nearby!"
Dazlin shakes Tex's hand. "It's a great pleasure to meet you all, and we appreciate the heads up.."
"..a blasted dragon.." Norbus mumbles.
Dazlin continues. "..in fact, yes, we could use your help! We've run into a bit of trouble with our wee expedition. Our camp is just beyond these doors, and it's just us two lads. We were about to travel deeper into the ruins when we discovered some sort of oozes living inside. We can't go on! Would you eliminate them for us? We don't have much, but we have this!" (They offer you a scroll of Aid - it can be used anytime by anyone and never expires!)
Tex turns to the rest of the party, Oozes eh? Well, what do y'all think? We could definitely use the scroll, and I think it would be quite enjoyable to test our strength as a team in combat. He turns back to the two dwarves, What about any treasure we may find in the ruins?

Vi sighs. "Oozes," she mutters under her breath, glancing down at her very corrodible sword. "Guess I'm sticking with ice for this." The half-elf raises her voice to normal hearable level. "Sure, why not?"

For the entire trip to the dwarven excavation, the rogue moved quietly from shadow to shadow, slightly ahead of the group. Sometimes, if you weren't paying attention, he'd vanish in the trees and shadow altogether, reappearing ten or fifteen minutes later looking back at you to make sure you hadn't gotten lost. So it was no surprise that as you explore the ruined village the drow keeps himself hidden - even when Tex turns to introduce him. (Stealth: 26)
Finally, when it becomes apparent that they are going further in, he appears iin the makeshift camp, shortbow in hand with an arrow nocked. He points to his eyes, then into the cavern, then at you and holds up two fingers followed by a closed fist. If anyone looks confused or asks what he means, Lanarial will sigh and say, "I'm going to scout ahead. You stay back 20 feet. Yes?"
"Take Talav," Vi suggests. The raven lands on Lanarial's shoulder, fluttering his wings and cawing briefly before taking to the air again, circling over the rogue's head.

"You are linked to the raven? Good. Stay further back and hide your lights. And the talking one..." he says, looking at Iridansa with a smart-a$$ grin. Lanarial then motions for the raven to perch on his left shoulder, to keep his right arm free to draw the arrow or grab his short sword.
When the group is ready, he will move the doors at the edge of the caverns, keeping hidden, and look into the darkness beyond.
You pass the camp and enter a courtyard of some sorts.
A partially collapsed, ten-foot-high wall separates this courtyard from the settlement west of it. Three heaps of rubble are piled high in this area. Hewn from the canyon’s back wall, a thirty-foot-high temple facade features steps rising to a stone platform. Cut into this facade is a ten-foot-high open doorway flanked by crumbling, life-sized granite statues of cloaked dwarves. Evil grins can be seen on their weather worn faces.

Ceilings: Ceilings throughout are 10 feet high and flat. Doors: The doors are made of carved stone with stone pins for hinges. Dust and Debris. The temple is choked with dusty rubble. Rubble-filled squares are difficult terrain. Light. There are no light sources in the temple, so unless you have darkvision, magic, or torches, you cannot see.
From here, you can press on deeper into the temple. Who knows what dangers await.
Iridansa walks forward in awe of the statues (History 9). She wanders forwards into the temple after Lanarial goes in, "Come on guys! I wanna see what is inside here. This is so cool!"
Lanarial, you recognize the statues as disciples of Abbathor, the dwarven god of trickery and greed. From the double doors, you can see into the darkness - there is a temple further ahead with a large ooze hanging around the altar by the back. Unfortunately, you knocked over a skeleton by the door in your attempt to be sneaky, and it toppled over, making a loud noise that was heard all the way to Waterdeep. The raven gives you a dirty look - if it could. Your nat1 earns me a Chaos point.
You are just outside the temple interior by the first double doors.
"The god of trickery and greed. This is my kind of temple..." Lanarial mumble under his breath. Looking into the darkness of the temple with his exceptional sight, he sees the large ooze by the temple. While moving to get a better view, he knocks over a skeleton, and the bones go rattling all over the stone floor, the noise echoing off the walls!
"Damn your clumsiness! Pay attention!"he curses himself, then yelps when the raven on his shoulder pecks his ear for good measure. He freezes for five breaths, waiting to see if anything is drawn to the noise. If nothing comes, he calls quietly back to the others, "There is a large ooze about 40 feet ahead by the temple. I can shoot it from here..." never taking his eyes off the target.
Hearing the commotion, Gareth-Wyn bounds up to the doorway, glaive held at the ready. His eyes dart around the room, absorbing the situation and seeking targets (Perception at disadvantage due to light: 7) Assuming he spots the ooze, he will cautiously take a few steps forward, not being able to see clearly.
"Stay outside!" the drow hisses before firing off an arrow at the ooze. Attack: 6 Damage: 7
"Let it come to you so you can see it."He then moves position, attempting to hide again, even though he doubts that the ooze can see or hear... Stealth (take 2!): 18
