The group leaves, heading down the main road, Germain scouting with two animals flying in the skies. When we near the location of the rear-guard, we'll stop and wait for Germain to scout and check for an ambush. When we get near the camp, we'll circle around and approach from a different angle, based on what we know of the camp. Dressed / magically disguised as cultists, we'll approach as if we belong, but in two separate groups. First group is Taviel and Naroth, like last time, then 2nd group Valen, Germain and Toc.

Naroth lets Taviel lead and act like her guard as they enter the camp once more. If anyone attempts to pay any particular attention to them he will just glare them down and shake his head no.
You retrace your path back to the camp. Where you fought the rear guard you find only that the bodies you left there have been stripped of any gear you did not take before.
As you travel on towards the camp you spot a couple figures far off, with two horses apiece, moving across the land, but they do not spot you. They are not together, but in different areas of the landscape, just a single person with two horses in each of the two groups.
When you get closer to the camp it is obvious at once that the camp has mostly been cleared out. You spot a couple of people idling around in the main camp. the only structures that remain are the two watch towers, unmanned, and the large tent by the cave mouth. Guards are positioned near the cave mouth. The idling figures are sitting around a fire, off towards the watch tower that was previously near the prison tent. Many of the tents and other things have been burned to the ground.
Talking to Taviel, Naroth says, "Well this can't be good. It seems the powers that be are done with the random rank and file which could only mean they are near the end of whatever they have been planning on doing. We need to get into that cave as soon as we can. I wonder if there is an alternate or hidden entrance to get inside."
"Judging by the tent, they left one of the big bosses in charge, I wonder who..." She narrowed her eyes at the burned spots. "If this is result of our little attack the other day - we did pretty good, if I may say so myself." "Anyway, you might be right, if even the main tent is standing by the cave, they must keep in there something very important. Oohhh - can it be that the eggs are still there?! Some of those brutes did call the cave "a nursery". We simply must get inside! Any ideas how to get rid of those guards?"
Toc nods, "Agreed. Well, it depends on how many there are. If there are few, I say we just attempt to sneak past, then...if we fail, we just meet them in combat. If there are too many for that, then I would suggest we consider having a couple of us go in as cult members and try and get our new orders, or an update to what's happening, and then we go from there."

There are 2 individuals loitering around the fire. There is 1 guard you can see inside the cave mouth. They look like scouts...
you spot one guard at the cave mouth, a bit back and inside of the entrance. It looks like...
There are no guards or anything around the big tent, and the flaps are pulled back, though you cannot see inside from this distance.
Valen frowns at the lack of most of the camp inhabitants. "Which way do you think they went?" he asks, scanning the area to see if he can see anything in the distance. He doesn't spot anything though. "Should we try to see which way the main group went or check out the cave first?"

The ones around the fire look like scouts, the one inside the cave mouth does not.
"Not much of a tracker," shrugged Taviel, but then sighed: "I guess, this is our duty to check where everyone went, but the Mayor thinks for some reason, something important can be still hidden in the cave. Can we do both somehow? Walk around the camp - from both sides - and check the tracks, then return? Or some of us search for the tracks and some go to the cave?"
She looked at the cave mouth a bit irritably: "Ok, the guard inside is the obvious cultist, but who are those scouts? Why are they here? Should we pretend to be scouts or cultists? Or may be it's time to go full assault?"
Toc, "Finding the trail of an army should be no problem, we can do that after. Let's head in, pretending to be cultists, and see if we can get some information from them. Pretend we're stragglers and ask for directions. If we fail to fool them, then we attack, otherwise maybe we get some info. Then we head to the tent and the cave and if the guard gives us a hard time we attack. Sound ok to everyone?"

"Agreed," nodded Taviel. "You remember the names of those main thugs? I mean, cultists generals - or whatever they are called? What was it... The half-black dragon - Rezmir, the half-blue one - Cyanwrath. And someone above them ... Mondath! Though I do not remember who is she exactly. We can mention these names. But if the guard attacks us, we will have that rangers on our back too."
"Well, ready when you are."
(I think we were in cultists robes again? Taviel would remember that)
Germain will follow at the rear of the group, wearing his cultist robes from before, and keep an eye on the scouts by the fire while the others talk to the guy at the cave mouth. While they're walking over, "Have to say it, i'd be easier to search the place if they were dead, couple of us on the guy at the cave, the rest on the two scouts, one quick coordinated strike and the camp is ours."
Valen walks near the front of the group, wearing cultist garb as well. He has his glave in hand, but is using it as a walking staff as they move into camp.
The men in woodland garb near the campfire glance up, but don't seem to care too much about who you are or where you go. They stay by their campfire, cooking what look to be several rabbits over the flames.
Do you stop to talk with them, or do you head on to the cave mouth?

Valen is the last to leave the tavern, walking outside to find his companions ready to go in short order.
