Toc looks about the group, "I concur that we should bring the prisoner with us. He's likely useless but you never know."
In the tavern Toc smiles at the red-haired dwarf, and in reply to still being alive, "It is not without our trying. I'm sure it would not surprise you we had to negotiate with a stalactite for our safe withdrawal from a situation. Yes, a talking stalactite. Very odd."
Once in the office his face turns more serious, "The forces attacking Greenest were Dragon Cultists. They seemed to be zealots, ready to die for their cause and plentiful. They had raised an army and seemed well supplied and well organized. The forces ended up being withdrawn and we dealt with some stragglers and recovered three black dragon eggs which we have outside. However, with the way this cult was organized, I do not think this was the bulk of them. I know not how they are recruiting their followers, but this seems to be a more serious issue than a few raids. They escaped with much treasure with which to fund their future endeavours."

"Yes, Leosin Erlanthar, told me much as he traveled through." The dwarf says with a nod of respect to the group. "He is waiting for you, and I believe he has more information now that he had the last time you saw him. It seems the cult is on the move, and the treasure with them."
"I had not heard about dragon eggs though, so that is a concern. What do you plan on doing with them?" The dwarf asks.
Toc shrugs, "Currently we have no plans for them and are open to suggestions. We're torn between destroying them, and attempting to raise our very own, reformed black dragon wyrmlings. I'm sure that's a reasonable idea." He winks at the Dwarf.

"Well not sure how that would go for ye." The dwarf says with a frown. "Ye going ta hunker down one spot fer however long em take ta hatch?" He nods in the direction of the outside. "Do ye know what color em be? Ye have ta keep em in the right place fer em to hatch ye know..." With a shrug he puts his hands on the top of his desk. "Fer now, I be knowing da Harpers would take em off yer hands, and set about finding em a home, where em can't be bothering peoples when em get older." He glances to you. "Might even be knowing a lad who would give em a try at training, if ye got yer hearts set on trying to raise one."
Taviel sighed when they had to return to that tavern (red hair - of course, no one would take her for a dwarf even in magical darkness, but still, relatively similar coloration was unnerving). She smiled friendly, though.
"These are the eggs of a black dragon. Acidic warm swamp-like conditions and they will hatch. Not sure when exactly - may be just a few days, otherwise, why would they be left behind? - but if you want to slow down the process, keep them dry and cool." For a few moments she looked as if she was about to ask to escort the eggs to their final destination herself - a very, very few mages anywhere could claim dragonling observations, not to mention - raising a dragon (in fact, Taviel could not remember even one). But the sense of duty eventually has won. "I trust Harpers will find what to do with them. Did Leonsin recovered after his capture? He was in a pretty bad shape last time we saw him. And never said why he has to travel all the way to Elturel. Not that I mind to get home."
As he listens to the others talk about the eggs, Germain shrugs, he'd given his suggestion, but had no desire to offend his new allies unnecessarily. Looking to their host, "Are there any book stores in town?"
"Sorry, no be book stores in a village of this size." He says with a glance to Germain. "Ye will be finding some when ye get ta Elturel though, lots of book stores be there." Turning to Taviel he nods his head in understanding. "Black dragon eggs huh... Well I be having a few ideas there. Do ye want em ta be taken somewhere ye can come back to visit, or da ye wish em to just be taken where em can grow up?"
Leaving Taviel to her decisions about the eggs, Toc says, "Any other news for us? Otherwise we should probably eat a quick lunch then continue on our way..."

"Very generous....thank you." Toc heads into the common room to get his free lunch.
So, I believe we are leaving the eggs here with the our Harper contact then? And we've brought the prisoner with us for stuff and giggles? Toc plans to lead the group onward after a quick meal.

"Waterdeep Academy," immediately nodded Taviel to suggestion. "At least ask the Chapter there to contact wizard Arvin Creewas - he knows a lot about dragons and could help." The hope to be the first one learning from uncle everything he will find out she did not share.
She joined others in the common room to get a good lunch before inescapable fasting of a long road. "My family lives in Elturel and they might want me to stay with them, while we are in the city. They have some guest rooms, of course, but ... not sure if such accommodation is to everyone's liking. There is a summer house too, but it's outside the city walls - close (elturelians do not like stray from the Companion - but still outside."
You get an itch between your shoulder blades. The feeling someone is watching you. As you glance around though you don't spot anything out of the normal, but the itch doesn't go away.
Continuing to talk about different places to stay, Taviel added a quiet warning: "Do not look alarmed but I think we've been watched. Do not know by whom but I trust my feelings."

You don't see anything out of the ordinary. Nor do you sense anything that Tavial seems to think is going on. You would feel she truly believes someone is watching you, but you don't sense anything yourself.
You definitely don't notice anything, except that the plate of food before you is getting empty. Taviel seems to truly believe someone is watching you, but you don't feel any such thing yourself.
