Bugs raised his bow... but couldn't see the creature that had attacked. He then raised his hand to cast a spell and Ramious put them into darkness. "Damn it man. I can't attack through that darkness nor can I heal you! Come hither and let me heal you!" Bugs shouts out. Without having much more he can do. He agitates his bugs, whipping them up into a frenzy and gaining the ability to walk on walls. He moves up the side of the wall closer to the ceiling and readjusts his bow towards the darkness.
Bonus action: agitate swarm and gaining spider climb for 1 minute
Same question - does Leon remain on place or is he moving forward towards the pit? The pit is 15 ft forward, the unknown danger behind - 5 ft away from Leon and Bernard.
If Leon is the only one close to the danger from behind, then he will step forward. If stepping forward leaves Alyssa alone with the unknown danger from behind, then he will not move and stay put.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Either the Darkness worked or the closeness or other targets made the trick, but tactic seemed to work. At least at first.
Alyssa and Leon moved to the borders of the pit and Bernard was now hanging above it on the wall. The ranger could not see anything still on either side though the danger was obviously here.Ramious, carrying with him the cloud of complete darkness moved further down the corridor (do discover that it turns left there) and did not feel (nor saw) the enemies following him.
The invisible wall from behind moved closer - more algae were scrapped off the walls, the skull was dragged good 15ft towards the party. The other side with the silhouette of the sphinx now looked a bit blurred, as if through the very thick layer of water. Actually, it also felt as if big mass of something liquid or semi-liquid was approaching - the muffled sounds, the cold, emanating from it. And it was close - extend the hand and you could touch it.
Round 2
However, whatever was attacking Ramious before was here still. Bernard was the first one to feel it:
vs Bernard: Attack: 22 Damage: 12 Attack: 26 Damage: 17
1
The second one attacked was Alyssa:
Attack: 15 Damage: 11 Attack: 17 Damage: 7
As if the very air was trying to punch out the life from you - brutal and invisible.
The "dog" sent by Alyssa barked and tried to bite something - at least it sounded as if the thing was biting. Whether or not it anyhow affected invisible foe, you could not tell.
Everybody!
(Something is attacking literally from the thin air and it seems to be above the pit now. Leon and Alyssa on the edge of the pit. Behind - 5ft away from them - is another slowly moving danger. Bernard is hanging from the wall and can not use weapon in this position. Ramious is far ahead)
Hearing that the enemy is now behind by the pit and is attacking the others, Ramious stops, and shouts, "I can cover you all in darkness if you want! It'll at least counter the invisible thing...just tell me and I'll come!"
In the meantime, seeing the strange liquid closing in on Leon and Alyssa, he blasts the open hallway with two beams of fire: Fire bolt : Attack: 20 Damage: 9
NOT seeing the strange liquid effect filling the hallway, but seeing the skull dragging along behind the group, Ramious frowns and chucks a hand full of ball bearings down the hallway past Leon and Alyssa, or as far as he can throw them.
The handful of balls dropped behind Alyssa and Leon with loud clang - for most of them. However, some did not simply dropped on the floor, but seemingly stuck in the air, slowly "drowning" as if were thrown in the oil.

(Sorry I didn’t RP it, but when Alyssa was advising the group to proceed ahead, she would have/intended to inform them of what she discovered and would explain to them what she could make out about the ‘invisiwall’.) (Also note to self, I totally derped. I didn’t read the detail of my faithful companion spell. I thought it could follow me as long as I remained within 100ft lol but nope, I see it’s stationary. Yay for noob boogers lol)
Perception at d/a: 14 (Might be a stretch, but worth a shot: could I argue that the dog could help Alyssa with this perception check to make it a straight check? Ie if it’s to see the foe, she’d be able to tell the general direction to focus her attention on?)
Alyssa exhales a breath when Ramious cloaks himself in darkness. She could understand Bernard’s discomfort with not having clear access to healing, but she’s been reminded over and over again that things are different with this group. Refocusing, blue hues would scan the area before her and then behind her. Choices were limited.
Feeling the air swirl around her, lashing out in threats against Bernard and her, A felt her armour absorb the blows. In synchronization, the elf would stomp her foot as she’d reach out with her shield to smack it. A burst of familiar radiant light would wash over the area in hopes of making contact with enemies surrounding them.
Action: Word of Radiance Con DC 14 or take 11 radiant damage (Against potentially both targets? *crosses fingers*)
Correcting her posture, Alyssa would roll her shoulders back prior to taking a couple steps back, sure not to interfere with the oily wall. She’d then take a bit of a running start to leap across the pit. (With a 10ft running start Alyssa should be able to jump 14ft? 10ft back, 10ft forward, 10ft leap = 30ft movement. Correct?)
Movement: 30ft
Growls and snarls continue as long as a threat persisted. The faithful companion would lash out.
The dog could not help - it was barking viciously in the Alyssa's direction, sure, but the girl knew about the danger around already.
However, those small metal balls, thrown by Ramious earlier, finished the contouring of the unknown creature behind, allowing to make connections where before it was just a slightly blurred space. Leon still more felt than saw the wall of moist cold slowly moving towards him, but that was enough to attack. It felt as if he attacked a huge jello - Wave ran through it (yelling "Disgusting jellyfish!" all the way) and was jerked out as easily, though it was hard to tell how big was the mark it left.
Alyssa - figuring out the place and the size sent radiant light straight at it (14). The spark died out in the wet mass, but that before it happened, the light reflected from the surface of the moving wall, revealing - for just a moment! - a transparent jello, that filled in the corridor from wall to wall and from top to bottom, leaving no space to squeeze around it.
"Damit' Bugs said as he took several hard blows from... something. Whatever it was, it was right in front of him and he couldn't see. "Bastard, come out where I can see you," he shouts as he releases a plague of bugs from under his sleeves.
Casting: faire fire right in front of him by the invisible dog that was attacking the thing attacking him. It gets a DC 13 dex save to negate otherwise it's outlined in blue glowing bugs and we have advantage to attack it.
Leon won't move unless Alyssa does. If she does, then he will use misty step to cross to the far side of the pit. If she doesn't, then he stays put. He hopes she moves, as then the thing behind them will take 5 extra thunder damage if it moves before his next turn.

(Leon needed to move to attack the "wall". Alyssa too. So far I counted as both stayed.)
Shimmering field covered the pit and surrounding tiles, fortunately not reaching Alyssa and Leon attacking the jello wall behind them. The sparkles died out, all but a few, outlining right in front of Bernard ... something - and amorphous mass, constantly shifting its form. The glowing bugs were flying about as if caught in a whirlwind, making an amusing but slightly dizzying lightshow.
The other attacker send the bugs scattered (and joining the round dance over the first one) but not before it attacked Alyssa again:
Attack: 15 Damage: 11
At that moment the gelatinous mass pounced forward with the speed, unexpected for the creature(?) of that size and Alyssa with Leon felt the disgusting sensation of drowning in the jello.
