"I" With a wave of her hand Alyssa would dismiss Hue from his perch on her shoulder, sending him into his pocket dimension. I'm done. Her own voice echoed in her mind. She didn't need Hue to blurt her thoughts from here.
The elf would take a seat, cross legged on the ground. With a clenched jaw, she'd take in a breath. Before she could finish her full inhale, something would press uncomfortably against her hip. Opening her eyes to look over, Alyssa would pull Thorn from her side. Grandmother's dagger. Her expression would finally soften once again with the briefest of smiles passing across her lips. She'd let out the deepest of exhales. It'll be what it'll be. The wizard would take out her own dagger from it's sheath. She'd place each blade on the ground in front of her. Correcting her posture, she'd close her eyes and inhale once again, but this time, a little clearer.
Flash back:
"Lyssa, listen!" The woman would look up at Alyssa and flick her in the forehead, "You should be paying closer attention to your surroundings. Listen to me Lyssa." The woman would look intently into her eyes, "You need to remember it's important to ground yourself. Your mind. Right here. In the present."
"Yes, Mom."
"Lyssa. Listen." She'd grip her daughters shoulders. "Madness is a cruel mistress."
Alyssa would roll her eyes. "Yes. I know." She's heard this many times.
Her mom would shake her to bring her gaze back forward. "Lyssa." The older elf would poke her in the forehead, "You're smart. But you know nothing Alyssa Amastacia." Her eyes would narrow. "Listen and learn Lyssa."
Bernard was a little surprise at the snap. Not so much Ramious', he was cursed and it was not completely unexpected. He was more surprised by Alyssa's. He wondered if there was something more going on. Maybe something else had her attention or maybe Ramious and her had a longer history and things were been heading this direction prior to the curse. He sighed figuring he they would eventually have to deal with it.
"Well, give a me moment to patch myself up and then I'll take a look at that button. Unless you all need some healing as well?" Bernard said.
Alyssa would eventually open her eyes from her meditative state. Not looking up, she'd simply begin checking herself over, mending a couple scratches as she went. Once healed, the elf would pull out her journal. She'd make and update her notes before moving on to some sketching in different parts of her book until the time came for Leon or Bernard to push the button for the calendar. They could start with the first secret door.
The bug-formed hand pushed the symbol in the middle and the calendar stone with the wall behind swung to one side on a set of hinges. Behind the concealed entrance is a narrow tunnel that slants down and away. The passage is barely four feet in diameter, and the walls are carved with a profusion of ancient and weird glyphs. The floor of the tunnel is slick with a molten, glassy glaze.
Some of them Alyssa can simply read: these are curses cautioning and cursing trespassers, written in the same ancient language you saw everywhere here. The others suddenly seemed familiar to Leon and look like arcane symbols of abjuration.
Now, in addition to three doors (plus one you used to enter the room) you have that open tunnel. Suddenly, the idea of spending here "two-and-three days" does not sound so absurd.
Without realizing he's doing it, he also converts his 2 sorcery points into a 1st level spell slot.
He stands, generally avoiding eye contact and looking at his boots a lot, while clutching the axe, and waits for the button to be pushed. He does not volunteer to go first for the first time in a long time, and just waits.
Leon waits as well, frowning a bit as the waiting grows lengthy and awkward. "Ok, well guess I am leading the way..." He says as he moves to the tunnel. He pauses to cast Detect Magic as a ritual though, before entering the tunnel. The abjuration runes have him a bit worried.
When Bugs would finish his review of the groups healing and initiate the pressing of the button, Alyssa would put away her notes. She too would wait, as she had been previously instructed to do, for someone else to take lead. When Leon would bite the bullet and take the first steps, the elf would take each dagger in hand and pick herself up off the ground to prepare to fall in line with the group.
Alyssa would stop at Bernard's side as she'd wait to see if he wanted to go ahead of her. "Thank you, Bernard." She'd say quietly looking ahead, watching Leon and Ramious lead the path forward. Alyssa wanted to recognize his consistent efforts in maintaining their well being. She'd glance away briefly before looking back to offer a sheepish smile. "I needed to press the reset button and clear my head of some muddied water..." She'd confess. It was like a shadow she allowed to follow her because she continued to shine a light on it. She had to let go and turn it off. The short rest was definitely needed. Leon helped secure Bugs' suggestion. Madness is a cruel mistress. The divination wizard would repeat to herself. After a moment she'd shift a little uncomfortably. "Before I forget to say something..." The blonde would gesture with one of her daggers towards the stone altar with the golden cat on it. "The right eye contains a catch that I believe will open another secret door." She wasn't saying this to get them to go right away, but just in case they were to come back through. At least this way she made sure she said something. Someone else knew.
Otherwise, Alyssa was ready to follow the others passed the secret door. And when it was her turn, she'd move forward and take her time to look around the area regardless if it was mundane.
The tunnel opens out two feet above the floor of a corridor running north and south. Three exits are visible, one at either end of the hallway and a set of double doors on the midpoint of the western wall.
The door to the north is barred, though it seems to have no latch. The image of a bear holding a disk of obsidian is set in its face. The lintel of the door is carved in the form of entwined serpents.
The southern door is plated in bronze. Etched on it is a symbol of two circles joined. The path leading up to it has a depression in the stone floor, as though it has been worn smooth by the passage of countless feet.
The floor in front of the central doorway is sunken and glazed. Affixed across the double doors is a golden seal one foot in diameter with ancient glyphs scribed into it. To open this door, it appears that the golden seal must be broken. Ancient glyphs are scribed on the seal. To either side on the lintel of the door are barely discernible scratches, and brown stains stipple the wall and floor.

Ramious sits down on the lip of the passageway into this hallway, his feet on the floor of the hallway. The axe is across his knees and though he's watching, he also seems deep in thought....which, if we're all being fair....looks extremely uncomfortable for him.

Leon glances towards the door he detected the magic behind. He glances to the others as he reaches for it with his mage hand. "Let me know when I should try it..." He requests. He stays back near Ramious himself though.
Alyssa would shrug as Bugs would walk passed queitly and continued after Ramious and Leon. Taking up the rear, she’d stand furthest back and out of the way. Her eyes would continue glancing around, but there was nothing outside of the usual curse warnings for her to report. She’d shrug again. “On you. Whenever you guys are ready.”

There is still the bar across the northern door and the south one does not respond to the push of mage hand. May be a greater push is needed.
Alyssa now got the good view of the golden seal across the double doors. The glyphs on it stay plainly: “Beware! Beyond this door is death!”
