Even with the added blessing to bolster his spirits, Zaf gives up the ghost and after that final bite, losing focus and causing already severely injured bird and spider to disintegrate back into snow and wind. Without missing another beat however, Zaf calls upon the twilight sun near a hydra and has it race into it with lethal intent. "My thanks, Rose." He called, risking a wink over the shoulder.
