Sera curses as Zaf goes flying. "What the HELL was that?!?!"

Rose let’s out a loud shriek in shock when she sees Zafbear go flying. She wanted to rush over and check on him but was terrified of moving and setting off anymore of... whatever it was.

“A-are you okay?!” She shouts.

"Look!" Jasun points. "A flying bear! Never thought i'd see one of those, honestly."

Only more plaintive sounding moans answer Rose as Zabear eventually worked his way properly to his feet. Though now more wary of the strange, deadly lumps buried about the area, he made sure to get his bearings on the surroundings again, noting the scent of whatever went into the landmines as bad, before carefully making his way over to the others. Rose would soon find herself need to push off or sidestep Zabear as he stood up on his hind legs just to hug and cry pitifully into her shoulder.

As that happens, you see some soldiers in grey coats and strange masks shove a cylinder into a tube and angle it towards you. They rush to cover their ears as the tube fires the projectile towards you with a deafening boom. You must all make DC18 Dex Saves to take half of 19. More of these soldiers in coats lift up these long wooden sticks, like they're aiming something at you. A cannon that's mounted on some odd-looking metal vehicle, turns towards you. The hut starts clucking, concerned for its' riders welfare.

Rose gives Zabear an affectionate pat on the shoulder when brought into the hug, however it is very quickly ruined by the loud boom.

Sera grunts as the projectile hits. "****! Ow! These are not friendly people! We need to find cover!"

The hut continues squawking, even louder this time. "Perheps the hut could serve as cover?"

"You heard the hut." Jirel would grunt. She'd start ushering the others towards the hut, providing them cover with her body until they got there. The goliath would scoop up a straggler in her arms and bring them to cover if she had too.

Sera makes a noise of agreement and books it to the hut with the others.

After being nearly flung away, but most assuredly de-bearified by canon fire of some kind, a dazed Zaf can only nod in agreement initially and follow suit after the others for cover. Though at some point during the rush inside he would throw out a healing word, as well as call out, "They were prepared for us extraordinarily so. I think the son had more up the sleeve than we initially expected!"
