Honor turns to Emmy. "Emmy, you've been doing a fair amount of our scouting. Do you have any idea of nearby islands? Or at least which direction is north?"
"Well, wherever that Orange was holed up is likely close around here." Emmy comments as she shrugs. "North is hard to tell down ehre, I'd have to fly up above the storms to get my bearings."
Chysen meets Kierro's eyes. "I would be willing to act as transport." He holds Kierro's eyes though. "Once you are safely aboard the castle that is."
Lost Salt nods. "Let me see who all is wishing off the ship." She says, heading to the door. She is gone only a few moments, then comes back in looking a mix between regret and pride. "Never mind the transport, my crew is staying aboard." She pauses as she looks to the group of you. "Help me keep my people safe. We need an island."
"The Mithril might be our best option." Chysen speaks up again, looking to Kierro. "You said you sensed them ahead of us. They tend to love being airborn, but even they need to land to rest."
“It’s worth a shot.” Kierro replies, closing his eyes and focusing on the dragon’s location. “Captain Lost Salt, one of our powers is the ability to sense other dragons. What I’m doing now is focusing on the location of one in particular. We should hopefully be able to find its lair, which will be a safe haven for your crew. It is a mithral dragon, so it will most likely be friendly to you.” He says to the captain, explaining everything to allow her to follow along. He gives the captain the direction and approximate distance toward the Mithral dragon.
Kierro, and others on ship The Mithril is about 50 miles away from you, towards the East. It would take the ship, on normal waters, about 12 hours to reach the place. with the wind, the rain, and the waves, it will take a bit longer.
Lost Salt shows exactly how this ship has managed to stay afloat in this god-spawned storm. With skill and cunning she pilots the ship through the weather and waves. The first mate stands with her, Wee Copper, a female elf wearing studded leather. She shouts above the thunder, sending crew moving to their tasks again and again. The Bosun, a female dwarf, works to patch broken staves, and rigging, but finds herself tossed around too much, her tools flying from her hand. The quartermaster, a human cleric, works to aid as best he can, but seems totally turned around in the storm. The crew though show their own willpower pushing, almost with sheer willpower, to keep the ship moving towards the captain's destination. They make it four hours towards the location of the Mithril dragon.
The next four hours does not go as well. The captain and first mate are clearly exhausted, the Bosun little better. Only the quartermaster keeps it from being a total disaster, working to encourage the crew and aid them in this acursed weather. Only made 2 hours of progress during the four hour period. The ship also takes more damage from the storm.
If the dragons and/or dragonlords wish to aid in the work aboard ship, please tell me what you wish to do. We are about half-way to the mithril's location now. You can take the Bosun or quartermaster's place in checks, or can cast spells to aid any of them with their checks. There are four officer checks, Captain, First Mate, Bosun, and Quartermaster. A fifth check is done for the crew.
Those on Castle... Who is keeping watch on the front cloud-ground in front of the main keep? Anyone doing so would see five figures suddenly appear there. Four you sense at once are dragons. A golden-haired elf is actually a Chromium dragon. The rogueish -looking human man is actually a Black dragon. A well-dressed woman is actually an Amethyst dragon, and the woodland-garbed final one is an Azure dragon. The two figures standing with them may or may not be recognized by you.
Leareth and Maril, please introduce yourself to the main group.
"... And other times the prayers are answered in ways other than expected." Leareth studied the castle and the surroundings. "Most interesting." He sensed multiple dragons of many different types. "I'd bet money we've been brought to the others, Maril."
Leareth, was the high elf wizard dragonlord who was in the old world the head (and brains) of an enormous organization which channeled its members various skills and powers toward one purpose: his own greatness.
as she materializes, any in earshot hear the very tall female clad in purple and violet fussing in common at the other non-dragon of the newcomers.. “what the… where are we arriving? This is NOT the desert! See - that’s why I don’t like the ethereal plane. You can’t see straight with all that fogginess! Never heard of the House of Nature or Elysium? I suppose I should be happy you didn’t pick the abyss. Are you sure you are using that thing right? Oh… wait… look sharp.. Dragons about. A lot of them. “
she is momentarily startled as she looks at the castle they’ve landed on. She is an intimidating figure- seven and a half feet tall (over 2M) she has red hair and is quite beautiful, with a fey look about her- apparently a firbolg -but an attractive one. She’s clad in shimmering violet scale mail, a hooded purple cloak, she carries a long black staff, a shield with a lifelike dragon’s eye, and wears soft boots. A curved dagger and a black wooden club carved to look like a dragon’s clawed hand rest at her hip. Her pack is made of black dragonskin. She nods at Leareth, looks at the group with caution, and says “Hello there, I am Maril. Where are we?.”
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Kierro desperately rushes about the ship, doing all he can to assist the crew during the storm and keep things working in order. Including the following:
Seeing Honor take to the air between spellcastings, Kierro calls out to her:
"No... please, we need your help. I'll do that thing I did last time, you won't be seasick. But you're stronger than any other man or woman here; they need you!"
Sensing the newcomers, Kyrian walks over from where he was dangling his feet over the edge of the castle. He waves and grins as he returns Maril's greeting.
"Hello! I'm Kyrian. This is most definitely not a desert, but we should definitely visit a desert at some point. I suppose you two are more dragonlords? We've had quite a few spring up on this voyage. I'm afraid you haven't caught all of us here as some of the others went down below to talk to the forsaken passengers on a doomed vessel and such. I don't speak for everyone, but as far as I am concerned you can make yourselves at home."

“I will take responsibility for what I have done. [...] If must fall, I will rise each time a better man.” ― Brandon Sanderson, Oathbringer.
“Hello Kyrian, yes, I’m Dragonlord Maril. My dragon companions are Ulroth the Amethyst and Ethiem the Amber.” (She gestures to the dragons with her, both in humanoid form)
“Thank you for your welcome. It seems we are meant to work together- as I had hoped. This is Dragonlord Leareth, master of planar travel. We were trying to head to the desert kingdom far to the south. But this looks like an impressive place!
She continues…. “Leareth and I also came from the old world- you may or may not remember me. Not many knew my face- spent too much time in the sticks, I guess. But I am going to be far more active here- I learned my lesson. We should all work together. “
"Strength can only do so much without skill in a situation like this," Honor says, but reluctantly accepts Kierro's offer to stave off seasickness. "Any chance our dragons could help tow the ship? Emmy's too small on her own to do much, but maybe with more than one..."
Kyrian squints at Maril "Maril you say?...... Nope, doesn't ring a bell. Either way, it's nice to meet both of you. We too are heading south, I guess to the same desert that you are, but unfortunately it's taking a rather long time."
Yuno, sensing the dragons, steps out of her room and goes over to see who arrived. She looks from afar at the new arrivals and says meekly, "Um... hello. I am Yuno. I am another Dragon Hero."
“Hello Yuno. How many are here? This appears to be a flying cloud castle! I’ve visited one owned by cloud giants before. Traveling in style, I see... Is there room for myself and my companions to stay? You said there are others down there (here glancing down) in that storm?”
"It could work. Chysen is busy with the crew, but if Naivara were to call down Grivryn and Ymemphis they could be of assistance. Naivara, I'd need your go-ahead: should I reach out to them and see if they can fly down here?"
Yuno looks around a bit and says, "I... actually came to the castle not too long ago myself. I... don't have a good track of how many total people there are. With you and your Dragon Hero companion here, I believe there is... 10 of us. The 10 of us and our Dragon Friends."
“Wow… 10 of us, with our powers and abilities. Imagine what we can do if we worked together…
I guess I’ll have a look around if it’s ok- any nice rooms still left for me to use? I sense several dragons down there in the storm. I suppose they will ask if they need more help... “
Maril will enter the castle with her dragons and explore.

(My bad. Assumed the castle would be perfectly fine, which is a bad plan in hindsight. Flying up to it would be a much better idea.)
Kierro glances over to Chysen, knowing what he’d most likely do here, but allowing him to have the final say in it.

Honor will dole out freedom of movement to everyone hourly. Otherwise she'll prefer to remain flying to prevent a return of her own seasickness.

Kierro desperately rushes about the ship, doing all he can to assist the crew during the storm and keep things working in order. Including the following:
- Casting daylight over the deck
- Casting enhance ability on the captain (not sure which type of check she uses, but he'll enhance that one)
- Casting mending to help the bosun fix stuff
- Using his healing staff to heal injuries and illnesses
- Helping the Quartermaster as he aids the crew. Medicine: 20
Chysen will help as well:
- Using bless on the captain, first mate, and bosun
- Giving his Luck Charm to the first mate (+1 to ability checks and saves)
- Giving help to the first mate
Seeing Honor take to the air between spellcastings, Kierro calls out to her:

(He offers to cast the protection from poison + lesser restoration combo that he used on the Ice Floe.)
Could control water be used to suppress leaks or floods so that they could be fixed? If so, that’s another thing Kierro does if needed.
