Jim Dirk (01) - HP 20/20, AC 18, PP 13, Spd 30, HA 1
OOC: It seems that this actiavation takes a long time hahaha
(OOC: Yeah, I know. Sorry, it's random. Jim's 10 Dex and +0 to initiative didn't help either. Also, I rolled everything the monsters did and Kaylessa's saves, etc. off-site. Let's just say that the monsters rolled REALLY well, and Kaylessa unfortunately rolled really poorly.)
Just a Thurgar steps forward, readying his handaxes, to help remove the runes, the smell of mangy fur hits his nostrils, followed quickly by a blur of black. Wolf riders. Thurgar had thought he heard some of the patrons in the pub talking about riders being in the woods, but dismissed it as embellishment, the way men do when they get too much ale in them. Instinct hit harder. He let loose a slurry of syllables under his breath, marking the wolf and brought his axes down in a whorl.

Action Summary
Reaction: Hunter's Mark the wolf (not sure if it does both wolf and rider, but I wish to target the wolf if not)
Move: toward wolf to attack
Action: attack wolf
Free Action: pee a little
Bonus Action: none
OOC: I don't mind the new Initiative thing. Seems like a quick solution.
(OOC: Not that there's anything wrong with the actions taken, but what's with the high +to hit and damage on those rolls? According to Thurgar's sheet, he should only have +4 to hit and +2 to damage (15 str, 14 dex), with Hunter's Mark adding 1d6 damage per attack)
Edit: (OOC: Those are good hits regardless and we can keep the rolls (just would need to adjust damage down to 7 and 7, and we'd need a second Hunter's Mark 1d6 roll, I'm just trying to figure out the math on them. Nethertheless I'll write a reaction to Thurgar's action for now)
Surprised at the ferocity of Thurgar's attacks, the giant Worg flinches, and reflexively lets Kaylessa's boot drop from it's jaws as the Dwarven Ranger's axes bite into its hide. "K'ragh'ya!" the Worg growls in the Goblin tongue, spinning in place to face the new threat.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Merrok (19) - HP 22/22, AC 18, PP 13, Spd 25, HA --
"Kaylessa!" Merrok cries out, with genuine concern and fear in his voice. Eyes bulging, he impulsively charges towards the giant wolf and reaches out to try and grab it and hold it in place.
(Grapple Roll - 11 vs 10)
Distracted by Thurgar's fierce attacks, the Giant Worg fails to notice Merrok charging it in time and gets caught in sudden headlock, leaving it Grappled.
Aldarin (09) - HP 17/17, AC 15, PP 15, Spd 30, HA 1
On his turn, Aldarin will move to place himself between Kaylessa and the worg.
"Hey you! Get down from there!" he shouts at the goblin rider.
Action: Cast Thorn Whip on the Goblin, attempting to yank him off the worg. (Attack: 24 Piercing Damage: 1) Bonus Action: Cast Shillelagh on my Quarterstaff Movement: Up to between worg and Kaylessa, 10 feet away if possible.
Belview (17) - HP 14/14, AC 15, PP 11, Spd 25, HA 1
"So much for the element of surprise.." Belview mutters to himself. "Tens morsu exanimat Cicero", his hands glow a deep blue and frost begins to form on the goblin.
Con saving throw, DC13
Damage if failed: 1 and disadvantage on next attack
Umbra's rapier stab pierces deeply, drawing blood from the flank of the Worg. It howls in surprise, and turns its head to face her, only to see that the woman's already gone. It swiftly turns its attention back to the 2 opponents still harrying it, not yet noticing the sheathe of swirling energy that's now surrounding it.
Initiative 17
The hooded Goblin is taken by surprise at the sudden chill forming on his chest from Belview's spell, and suppresses a shudder as it clenches its hands tightly to the crude reins attached to its Worg's neck to try and keep control.
(OOC: Failed Save, I rolled it on good old https://www.wizards.com/dnd/dice/dice.htm to speed things up and not have to post to check a die roll's result. He rolled a 10 if anyone was curious.)
Initiative 09
With the Worg held tightly down by Merrok, Aldarin's thorn whip easily pulls the Goblin rider from its mount, sending it sailing over the heads of Merrok and Thurgar and onto the ground near Aldarin. Startled as it is, it still is able to land in a rough crouch, weapons drawn and at the ready. It looks up threateningly at Aldarin, clutching a slightly bent javelin in its right hand, and a slightly rusted iron scimitar in its left.
Initiative 05
"Thanks... Forest-Arm..." Kaylessa croaks, still lying on the floor. She looks disconcertingly pale now, but carefully manages to make her way back on her feet, and begins stumbling carefully away from both the Worg and the Goblin, taking cover behind a nearby tree. (Disengage Action, and 17 ft of movement away after using 17 ft to get up) Edit: The Wood-Elf woman looks bleary-eyed, but from the way she's moving, it looks like she can see again. (Rolled save vs Blindness/Deafness)

Jim Dirkell (1) - HP 20/20 - AC 18 - PP 13 - SP 30 - HA 1
The robotic version of the teenager grabs his staff and whirls it around himself in a show of martial "prowess" (and because of this I'll probably roll a 1). He then thrusts it towards the goblin and yells: "If you do not surrender. I will be forced to use non-lethal force against you all. Prepare to face the wrath of Tyr!" He then charges forwards towards the goblin who was hurled off of his mount and tries to wack him over the head with his staff.
Move: I think I can make it to the goblin? I didn't see a map, if I can't then just correct me and I'll edit it.
Action: Attack with quarterstaff 8 to hit, dealing 10 bludgeoning damage + 2 on a critical hit.
EDIT: At least I hit (I think) XD
EDIT 2: Actually, why not let's smite him (assuming that I hit). Incorrect roll amount coming up: + 7 radiant damage.
Focused as he is on Aldarin in front of him, the Goblin doesn't anticipate Jim's staff attack, and ducks too late to avoid it, getting clipped on the side of his head. "K'ragh" the goblin hisses, quickly turning his head from front to side to try and keep tabs on Aldarin and Jim at the same time, and moving the javelin in his right hand towards the Paladin to be better prepared to block any attacks, keeping his scimitar pointed at the Druid.
(OOC: I just assumed everone was within 25-30 feet of the front and was able to attack as they pleased. I'm researching various mapping / battle tracking stuff, but so far nothing seems ideal. Roll20 doesn't seem to allow you to export battlefields with tokens as image files, and other stuff is crude and uses Flash, and requires a lot of effort to make something good looking. And yes, Jim hit. Goblin's AC is only 17.)
OOC: For Roll20 what you can do is take a screenshot and then upload it from there.
(OOC: I've been considering that. Do you have any tips on taking screenshots, or is it just "Zoom out as best you can" and just go with it? Beats making cheap maps like this with ANAmap-)
(Not a real/final overview of the battle, just a test mockup, one of like 3 I tried making.)
At this point in the fight, the caravaneers have swiftly moved their carts and wagons as far away as they were able to. Still facing the fight, Durgan Stonecreek grits his teeth, holding up a stout, steel-banded oak shield with his left, and holding the reins of his mules with white-knuckled tightness with his right. Only slightly behind him, Oria completely covers her face with a similar shield with both hands, so much so, that it's probably impossible for the girl to fully see what's in front of her. Even further behind, the half-elven couple have also drawn out their own shields. Elessa holds the reins with her free hand, while Halethar's free appears to be purposefully gripping an elegantly curved elven hatchet that he seems ready to swing or throw at a moment's notice.
The large Worg looks agitated and shaky, and has a frenzied look in its eyes. It seems like it's on its last legs. Cuts and wounds cover its body, and a few of them are deep enough to be slowly leaking blood. The hooded and cloaked Goblin is grimacing, with concern, if not fear in its beady red eyes. It grips both of its weapons tightly, shifting from foot to foot as it tries its best to keep both Aldarin and Jim at bay while simultaneously searching for any openings that either might provide it. The goblin looks deadly focused, and increasingly more and more agitated, as it slowly appears to become aware of just how many people it and its wolf have picked a fight with.
As they face off against the lone Goblin however, the thin forms of the two half-elves are suddenly outlined by flickering strands of violet light. Out of the shadows, a soft "clack" sounds, and a small crossbow bolt swiftly flies towards a weaker spot in Aldarin's leather armor. Thirty feet away from the two, what appears to be part of a tree's trunk shimmers and wavers, then slowly solidifies into a tall, man-like shape that steps out languidly away from the tree to reveal itself as a figure clad head to toe in a hooded, color-shifting cloak that is constantly changing shades to match the plants and objects around it. Deep within the confines of the figure's hood, a dark-skinned mouth curls itself into an arrogant smile.
(If he doesn't use a Heroic Action to avoid the bolt, Aldarin takes 6 damage, and needs to make a DC 13 Con save or be poisoned, if the save fails by 5 or more, he falls unconscious. There's also the option to use a HA to auto-save vs. Faerie Fire, but the attack rolls for the Crossbow were 19 and 24 respectively, so even without advantage it would still hit. However, negating Faerie Fire would make it harder to hit Aldarin in future rounds. If you want to try and manually make that save vs poison, then use the HA after you know whether it succeeds or fails, that's fine too. Jim can also use his HA to automatically save vs the spell, in which case it'll just fizzle out immediately after it first shows up.)
The results I got for Jim and Aldarin (copied from the "results" box) were...
Roll(1d20)+0: (Jim) 2,+0 Total:2
Roll(1d20)+2: (Aldarin) 7,+2 Total:9
This is just to show that I'm not fudging rolls for them on purpose. In the future, I'll probably just not write out every roll result that wasn't made in these forums for the sake of speed and brevity.
The Goblin smirks gloatingly as what appears to be help arrives and then abruptly disappears in a small cloud of odorless black smoke, reappearing in a position several feet away to the west, and slightly north of where he once was. As soon as he reappears, he withdraws a feathered, triangular bone charm from inside his vest, and crushes it in his right hand before throwing it down on the patch of ground directly behind the giant wolf. A swarm of glowing, putrid flies erupt into the air where the crushed charm lands, and then swiftly disappear as easily as they arrived. In their place however, are four bloated, hairless, gibbering creatures the size of Gnomes with open sores and patches of missing skin all over their bodies. Their twisted hands and stump-like feet end in wicked claws, and their disturbingly lipless mouths have jagged teeth.
Sensing the apperance of the creatures behind it, the Giant Worg jerks suddenly in Merrok's grip, and also disappears in a swirl of dark smoke, reappearing several paces to the southwest of its Goblin rider. As soon as they're rejoined, the two take off running to the west. However, the swirling energies of Umbra's booming blade erupt as soon as the Worg begins running, almost knocking it off its feet.
(2 Thunder Damage)
Growling harshly, the Worg staggers slightly, but somehow manages to keep on running, perhaps fueled by sheer, desperate adrenaline. The Goblin runs as quickly after it as he can, but still lags behind somewhat.
The Worg is now 80 feet away from Merrok/Thurgar, and the Goblin is 55 feet away
Through the trees in the northwest, two additional goblin worg-riders appear to be pacing their wolves back and forth, quite a distance away (outside of normal bow range) but seem content to simply peer through the trees at the party, and don't seem to be making any moves towards it. In fact, one of them seems to be spending more time pointing its Worg away from the Caravan, as if it's getting poised to bolt at the first opportunity. The other simply waves a torch back and forth idly, either trying to pass the time amusing itself, or maybe sending some kind of fire signal.

Summary: By my reckoning - Merrok and Thurgar are at the front to the west, near the new Demons. Umbra is slightly behind them. Aldarin and Jim are further behind still in the middle, with the camouflaged figure 30 ft northeast of them. Belview takes up the rear to the east, and Kaylessa is behind a tree about 15 ft north of Thurgar.

(If you're confused and need a better map, I can provide a crude one for now, but am willing to take suggestions as to how to calculate positioning in future battles. If you're all willing to go on Roll20, I could try running combats there. There are also alternatives like the interactive scene viewer at pyromancers.com)
Thurgar moved quickly as his marked prey tried to escape. The giant wolf was nearly finished, and he knew allowing it to escape would only mean it would rejoin the fray as the reinforcements stepped in. His heart pumped with adrenaline as he readied his sling and bullet, standing fast as rotting fiends manifested before his very eyes. He let muscle memory do the rest, winding and launching a shot at his mark.

OOC: The ASCII map is fine just for a rough visual, and combined with your descriptions, it works well! ANAmap is pretty bland from what I have seen, but functional. I am not sure what the RPGcrossing.com DMs use, but it's a great little map maker, so you may want to ask them (or I can on my next move over there). I am not sure, but it might be proprietary to the site. The initiative order is great at-a-glance info, by the way!
OOC2: In retrospect, I should have used by HA to finish the Warg. Crap. I imagine he will suffer the opportunity attacks for nothing now.
OOC3: Thanks to our friendly DM, Thurgar will use Heroic Action to finish off the Warg without moving so he can move Hunter's Mark to the demon in front of him. Sorry for the blunder, folks!
Tracing back the trajectory of the crossbow bolt, Umbra turns to face the cloaked figure. "My, my! Aren't you a little big to be a goblin?" With a swift, elegant hand gesture and some murmured words she places Hex on them (giving them disadvantage on dexterity checks). Moving towards the drow she draws a dagger with her free hand and throws it at them.
(Moving 30 feet I should be within 20 feet of them right?)

Aldarin (09) - HP 11/17, AC 15, PP 15, Spd 30, HA 1

Umbra (18) - HP 17/17, AC 15, PP 9, Spd 30, HA 1
Tracing back the trajectory of the crossbow bolt, Umbra turns to face the cloaked figure. "My, my! Aren't you a little big to be a goblin?" With a swift, elegant hand gesture and some murmured words she places Hex on them (giving them disadvantage on dexterity checks). Moving towards the drow she draws a dagger with her free hand and throws it at them.
(Moving 30 feet I should be within 20 feet of them right?)
Attack: 15
DMG: 7
Hex DMG (necrotic): 4
(OOC: If you want to, you can still do that now. Just have to edit your post.)
Aldarin (09) - HP 11/17, AC 15, PP 15, Spd 30, HA 1
(OOC I'll save my HA.)
Aldarin grunts and grimaces as he suffers the crossbow bolt now sticking out of him. Quickly uttering an incantation, he yanks the bolt out, and the wound closes up slightly.
(Bonus Action: Cast Healing Word 4)
Turning to face this new threat, another vine shoots out from the end of Aldarin's Quarterstaff at the cloaked figure, trying to yank him from the tree line.
(Action: Cast Thorn Whip 11 Piercing Damage: 3)
