Sleeping near the bottom of the stairs Smoke will jump up grabbing his rapier tring to hold his attack untill a kobold reaches the bottom of the stairs hiding behind the corner untill then.
Holding his rapier he looks to his allies to see them prepare as well.
Movement: he was close to the stairs so maybe none or just a few feet to get closer
Seconds after being startled, the first kobold drops with Rogram's javelin impaled in its throat. A shriek soon follows as the second stumbles through the entrance trailing smoke from Karib's magic, only to be run through by Smoke.
The next kobold in line, apparently having gathered its bearings a little better than its companions, leaps over the bonfire and lands in a roll, dodgingan arrow from Yevele in the process and stabbing its dagger futilely at the armored cleric as he approaches. The last smacks Rogram quite painfully in the chest with a thrown stone as it shouts into the stairwell behind it.
Round 2 Order: Players <===== Kobolds
Placement: All combatants are within melee range of one another. A bonfire is within the doorway.
Health: Yevele is badly wounded. Rogram is badly wounded. Smoke is lightly wounded.
Ammunition: Rogram has used 1 javelin. Yevele has used 1 arrow.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
If the path is clear Smoke will try and get to the kobold in the back trying to shout up the stairs to quickly attempt to silence it with a jab from his rapier.
Movement: Moving to the rear Kobold if he can reach it
OOC: Yes, two kobolds were slain last turn by Rogram and Smoke. Sorry, I know I usually state that mechanically in the placement description but I was rushing to get a post in. Back from travel for a couple weeks now and should be back to regular pace.
The kobold leaping past the flame meets a quick end at Karib's staff. The remaining kobold can only scream in fear as it is struck simultaneously by an arrow and rapier from Yevele and Smoke.
The meat locker falls quiet again, with only the crackling sound of fire to disrupt it. The thick leather strips of the curtain begin to blacken near the flames, smoke starting to pour upward.
OOC: Each character has received 25 XP for staving off the kobold interruption.
Karib dismisses the fire and looks around a little sheepishly, then watches the curtain for a moment to see if it is going to continue to burn. He then turns to Rogram, hoping he might be able to quench the flames.
Rogram takes out his bag of caltrops and carefully scatters them just inside the room. (5 feet inside the curtain.) "We may have more visitors," he comments.
The smoke lingers for a moment but the thick straps of the curtain only smolder and do not fully catch flame.
OOC: Removed the bag of caltrops from Rogram's inventory.
The interruption to your long rest has only lasted a few minutes. Let me know if the party is continuing the long rest or taking a different course of action.
Smoke will stand back as Rogram spreads out the caltrops taking note of them being there. Then returns to his position around the corner of the stairway. Trying to settle down again and listening in case he can hear more movement from above as he continues to rest.
The smoking curtain eventually fizzles, and the party returns to rest within the chill air of the room. You are able to rest after the events of the night, and awake after some time, your weary muscles recovering from the strain of the previous day.
OOC: Each character has gained the benefits of a long rest. Karib's hit point maximum has returned to its previous amount.
After everyone is up and ready to begin the new day, Yevele will look around and ask "Do we return to the half-dragon's cavern and continue searching, or do we see if we can get more information out of him?" the monk says pointing at their captive.
Rogram draws his dagger and walks over to the captive. He palms the man's forehead in his empty hand, pushing his head back forcefully, and puts the blade against his throat. "Where is the blacksmith?" he practically yells in his face. Spittle sprays. "The dwarf? Where have they taken him?"

OOC: Sorry for the delay, had a litany of trouble with some recent travel. Just one thing after another.

Karib strikes at the kobold that leaped over the fire, but can not help himself from smiling at the agility.
Attack: 21 Damage: 11
(( The attack roll is wrong (typo), it should be +6, for a total of 20 ; damage 11 is correct ))
If she can see the kobold in the hallway, Yevele will shoot it with her bow (otherwise she will shot the one in the room): Attack: 16 Damage: 11
If the arrow hits, she will use her bonus action to make it a kensei shot for an extra 2 damage.
Did the kobolds go down with Karib and Yevele's attacks? Also, how did the kobolds get through the "trapped" curtain?
If the path is clear Smoke will try and get to the kobold in the back trying to shout up the stairs to quickly attempt to silence it with a jab from his rapier.

The kobolds used a spear in this post to brush the trapped curtain aside and enter.

The captive looks no better than he did the day before, still laying silent aside from an occasional raspy cough.

"I don't..." the captive coughs, his voice raspy from disuse. "I don't know what you're talking about. Who in the hells are you people?" he rasps.
