(The Scythe drops down quickly and hits Akra square in the chest, leaving a huge gash and knocking her flat on her back! The rest of the group quickly comes to her aid as the trap slowly resets. Everyone rushes to the other side of the bridge while the gears whirr and the Scythe goes back to its spot in the ceiling. )

Perception: 19
(As you reach the other side of the bridge, you see a slightly open door. You all peer thru it, carefully, one at a time.)
Spoiler for Blade:
As you peer inside, you see a large Bugbear, a kind of super Goblin, who may be the leader. He looks pretty tough, with thick furs and armor, and a giant Warhammer over his shoulder. Next to him, a regular Goblin in robes stands before a makeshift altar, chanting words that appear to be part of a ritual.
Spoiler for Akra, Dartor and Nordan:
As you peer inside, you see a large Bugbear, a kind of super Goblin, who may be the leader. He looks pretty tough, with thick furs and armor, and a giant Warhammer over his shoulder. Next to him, a regular Goblin in robes stands before a makeshift altar, chanting words that appear to be part of a ritual. You adjust your angle and see that the makeshift altar is in front of a large statue that looks like the leader of the Delian Order, Sextus Varius. You adjust your angle again, and see that there are 3 Goblins standing about on the right side of the room, talking among themselves, not really paying much attention. As you make one final adjustment, you see that on the far left corner of the room, a small girl is squatting in a small cage, her dirty, tear-stained face covered in dirt and mucus. She sobs softly, as if she has been crying for hours and hours and is just about cried out.
"Don't stop", bellows out the Bugbear at the Shaman Goblin (in common), "we're so close. Soon, this place will become a proper temple for the Goblin God, and we will consecrate it... with the blood of the innocent! Nothing will stop us!"
The Bugbear lets out an evil laugh as the Shaman Goblin continues to chant and perform the ritual.
Blade, after looking through the door says: "I couldn't see much but looks like there's a bugbear and a goblin ahead. I don't know if the goblin is magical, but I think we can take the two of them?"
"Uh, there's a few more goblins in there," Akra says. "And Bess. We need a plan. I have her doll, which we can use to distract her so she doesn't see the bloodshed as we fight them. Just as a reminder, I also have two bandages we can use if things get difficult. If we're just going to charge in there and fight them I probably won't be much help though, because of that scythe." She looks down at the massive gash. "Unless any of you have something that could heal that quickly?"
"Ah yes, of course! I didn't think they were as important. "says Blade, feigning that he saw the other goblins and Bess when he didn't.
"As for healing, I have nothing, but maybe we can use a bandage on you Akra?"
Sitting and thinking for a while, he says
"I don't know if we have any other options other than charging in? We could maybe try and spook the goblins and make them think their gods are angry? But all I have for that is minor illusion..."
DMs note: It's fine, stuff happens. I'm waiting on you guys, it's more fun if you all decide stuff on your own instead of me railroading you to do something a certain way.
"Alright Blade, go ahead and try it," Akra says. "If you can, maybe even use the illusion to convince them that they do not need the blood of the innocent and that they should instead hand over the girl to us."
(The Booming voice echoes in the room. The 3 Goblins that are standing to the side look pretty scared/concerned. The Bugbear also looks concerned, but looks like he's trying to figure out what is really happening.)
For DM only:

Blade, roll for Intimidation please. That's a d20+3.
"We're sorry!" "Please don't hurt us great Goblin god!" "Aaaaaah!!!"
(The Booming voice has frightened 2 of the Goblins enough that they run out of the room screaming and past the group, who are caught a bit unawares by how fast the little buggers are! They barely seem to register that you all are there and they run so fast they're gone before you all can react. As they get to the plate on the bridge they actually hold up a second to go one at a time, so they seem to know about the trap as well.
They have, however, thrown open the door enough that the remaining Goblin manages to see you all.)
"Sarris! Humans outside!"
(Sarris bellows, grabs his Warhammer and comes at you all threateningly.)

Blade casts Minor illusion and produces a booming voice in the room (I think that's something minor illusion can do?) and says the following
"Stop. Stop now. I do not approve of this sacrifice. You have angered me! Let the girl go and I will not punish you for this insolence"
Spell DC: 13
