And the thunder rolls... Kerric, stunned by vertigo, felt the shock reverberate through his armour and sear his skin.
Initiative SW | Ebele(f) | Flux | HH | Kerric | Xalkas | Lewin (Assuming Xalkas is using his fancy 'exception' skill on Flux and Kerric. Please state it/RP it when using spells, otherwise I will rule that Xalkas forgets, and burns his friends (apply friendly fire))
Without skipping a beat, Xalkas hurls a fireball into the depths of the room. It erupts in flame and a wave of heat blasts through the space, washing over the remaining two foes, Flax, and Kerric. The Hurricane screams a high pitched melody as his flesh and muscle are seared from his bones in incredible overkill. Barrels of alcohol explode in succession in various positions around the room, spraying flames that coat floor to ceiling and a shower of flaming shrapnel.
Lewin takes a moment to recouperate himself. Extending his healing, he calls upon the summer warmth to envelope Ebele and soothe the remainder of her wounds. Her skin even starts to glow as if kissed by the sun. While she flinches from the sound of the explosions, the monk is able to exhale a steady breath thanks to Lewin. She mouths a thank you his way.
A low cackle grows into a full on evil cultist laugh as a burning figure comes to stand their full height amongst the flames. While severely seared, evident by the stench of burning flesh and hair, the Skyweaver still stood. Having survived the fiery blast, cold eyes stare at Flux, then Kerric and beyond the doorway. "Aren't you peasants a blast." A sinister grin grows on their face. They raise their hand and throws something down. Air rushes an swirls, mixing with smoke and blaze, enveloping the charred cultist and obscuring them completely. The cackle returns, yet fades further away until it's gone.
(Going off post 3517 and thinking the tiles represented 10 feet instead of 5. I was ‘aiming’ the spell between h5 and h2 with the idea that it would catch all the enemies. Though it seems I missed most of them dying. I’ll remember to mention the sculpt spells ability in the future if there’s a chance it might be needed.)
Xalkas patters into the room to start putting out anything that is currently on fire with diligent use of ray of frost
Flux reflectively raised his shield to protect him from the onrush of flames, only to be left soon after pleasantly surprised when naught except the heat of it roiling by wash over him. Confused and now thirsty, he starts to turn to give Xalkas a piece of his mind, but stops short over the cultist's cackling. "Oh no you don't!"Flux throws forth a hand faintly glowing with cerulean light, and tries to seize upon the water vapors inherit in the smoke to draw it into his being, dispersing the smoke within moments... or so he hoped, in any case. In success, his skin and clothing are left with a new sheen of water that appears to further invigorate the dwarven genasi. But in failure, he'd curse up a storm in almost every language he knew while continuing to hold his ground at the left most door.
Action: Cast De-Fog using Call of the Waves feature on the smoke cover. (Which above game, hoping to use its dispersing fog aspect on the smoke, if allowed. If not, he wastes the action all the same in trying.)

Xalkas patters in to put out the stray blazes and Flux calls upon the moisture gods in attempt to disperse fog. Drip drip. Drip drip. With no fog to to destroy, the cleric is instead blessed with rain. Water trickles, blanketing the area to thoroughly saturate the space, suppressing the smoke and the now added vapour from extinguishing flames.
On the ball, Kerric pops up. Eyes narrow. He diligently pans the space, pupils scanning despite the droplets falling from his brows. Not made of sugar, the elf does not melt. Then, at the corner of his eye, he catches it. A blur amongst the rain, slipping out one of the two doorways to the N/NE. He didn't quite catch which one.
Kerric heads for the North East doorway and peering through he finds the same hallway they came in from. He sees Xalkas, then Ebele at the other door to his right. To his left, the corner of the hallway. He sees no evidence of wet sooty footprints leaving this way.

Lewin shakes his head to clear a reverie he had not seen coming. Realizing the foe had turned invisible, he approaches the door and tries to use his best guess (and perceptive eyes and ears) to locate a likely area, and then casts faerie fire such that anywhere he might have gone would be covered by the spell, and attempting to get none of his companions. (DEX 15 save)
Ebele’s ears twitch. She inhales a steadying breath, steeling herself and pushing through the residual fear. She strides over swiftly and with purpose. Following the sound of the insects, she weaves through their dance to the cluster source and unloads. She jabs, pulls up, and spins to kick.

The cultist cackles, his laughter almost manic, even through Ebele’s first two attacks. It wasn’t until the final thwack which cuts the laughter short. Coming out of invisibility, the cultist falls to the ground with a final thud.
With wary steps and a few glance backwards the door he'd been guarding, Flux eventually follows the others out into the adjoining hall after hearing the cultist laughter die down. Or at least, he goes so far as to peek a head out. "Did'ja.... Did ya get'em lads by any chance? Preferably alive, if such was at all possible?" He calls out at what he hoped would be just loud enough for the party to hear and no more, but... he wasn't gonna get to hung up on it either way. "Not that I don't doubt the sleezy tongue bastard would've been very forthcoming, but we still do need to find me kin hereabouts, in case that got forgotten in all the, uh, trouble before."

Ebele turns her head to ‘look’ in Flax’s direction. Her brows indicate she’d blink at him if he could see her eyes. “Uh. No. Sorry.” She’d poke the body with her staff. “I didn’t keep the guy who electrified me, causing me to relive my traumatic fears, alive.” She inhales a breath, shuffling her weight to stand her ground as if the body could shock her from the dead. “We can tuck the body away in the room and keep pressing forward.” Was what the monk could suggest.
Flux cringes. "Y-yes,well, uh, that works as well. W-we can manage on our own fairly well enough I say. Just gotta keep at it, and preferably not get jumped a second time, eh? L-Let me just get that for you."Then on that awkward note, the flustered dwarf hustled his way over the cultist to throw over a shoulder. Though if he proved too surprisingly heavy despite belonging to an air oriented cult, he'd power through in dragging the man along instead. "Might as well check their belongings too 'fore we run off. Doubt they'll have some missive detailing their schemes, but coming out with a bit of pocket change and any token of office might prove to be a bit of a godsend!"He suggests to the group.

Once Flux lumbered back with the body, placing it down somewhere, the investigations begin. If there was any information on the cultists, it would have been burned away with Xalkas’ fireball. There was only one exception. On the body of the cultist who had survived the blast and attempted to flee, the very same body Flux carried in, Xalkas would find the weapon used to stun Kerric. An unassuming boomerang at first glance. However after time spent and further inspection, he’d come to discover properties belonging to a storm boomerang. Meanwhile, Lewin and Kerric manage to collect a scattered sample of coin amongst the charred remains.
Xalkas shares his find with the group asking if anyone would want to make use of it. And reminding them that it would need to be recharged before it could be used again like they just witnessed. If no one is interested, he’ll deposit it in his bag. Then scribble a few notes in his book about the recent activity, shoulders his pack and is ready to continue when the group is.
