"Hn. Agreed. The words we saw just outside... they were -ervation, were they not?"Rhogar asked, only to answer, "I believe that narrows things down far enough from what we've been told before. This... this is a test of 'Preservation'. The only real question remaining is what?"He looks to Chill. "Or perhaps who. You were saying you heard something over-"He turns next in the direction presumably pointed before and grimaced at the birds. "Those fellows do not look particularly friendly. Suggestions before I erradicate them?"He asks of others, but looked to Kazri.

Chill knows a hiss when he hears it and decides that though he doesn't know what the vulture said they had an evil bent and it probably wasn't very nice. He snaps up he crossbow and let's a bolt fly at the vulture.
Attack: 11 Damage: 12
"Filthy beasts, leave the bodies until we are done here."
Chill's bolt hits the vulture which hisses again. It and the other vulture that was still on the ground launch into the air and joins the other 4 that are circling above.
Kazri is a bit surprised that a vulture could know so may expletives.
As you move about the camp you hear low sobs coming from one of the big tents and find a young boy, maybe nine years of age. He wears only a light woolen poncho. Any attempts to speak to the boy or calm him with words fail as the boy is in a terrible state of shock and refuses to speak.

Krom, chanting an hymn of guidance, walks towards the boy "Are hurt lad? Who or what did this?". (Persuasion14 + 3) As he speaks to the boy the dwarf scans the area around for further clues (Perception19).
Kazri’s heart sink. She was hoping to find survivors, but it seems that the child might be the last of his tribe. She sheathes her sword, removes her helmet, and crouches next to the boy. “Do not be afraid, we will not hurt you.” She waits to see if the boy will respond to Krom.

"Or, he can just do that." Rhogar muttered under his breath with a little mirth to his voice, watching as the vultures scattered to the air. But eventually his attention returned earthward, and to the sad state of things. He hadn't dared get any closer knowing his draconic form would offer no solace. Instead, he took a moment to study the remains of the vulture's meal, uncertain of what he hoped to find in exactness, but wishing to see all the same if... enough remained for a burial. Gorrah stayed perched on his shoulder in the meantime, keeping an eye on the vultures. If any dared try to swoop in to snag a meal, she'd be the first to fly up and intercept them with a well placed tail sting!

Seeing that they are not able to console the boy, Kazri suggest to Krom for of them to leave the tent. "Master Krom. Are you able to produce some sweet for the boy, like chocolate, with your magic? I will be back momentarily." She looks for the next tent that offers some privacy. Inside, she removes her weapons and armor. From her backpack, she takes out the dress that Rhogar gave her, and she puts it on. She will take whatever Krom was able to produce, then she goes back to the tent with the boy. Once inside, she will calmly sit, cross legged, in front of him. "I brought something for you to eat."

Krom nods to Kazri as she suggests to leave the tent, but then the dwarf shakes his head at her request "Chocolate? I can conjure some food, but I think that this will do just fine." The dwarf pulls out from his back pack the alchemy jug and an bowl."Since he is a human kid, I suppose that beer and ale are not yet appropriate." asks the dwarf turning towards Kazri. "Honey" says Krom without waiting for a reply "Honey will put some energy back into that boy." He then starts to pour the honey into the container before passing it to Kazri. The dwarf will leave the boy into Kazri's capable hands before joining again Rhogar and the rest of the group outside.
(When I wrote the last post, I thought it was a clever idea, let’s give it a shot. Now, reading it again. One may have the wrong impression. However, trust me, Lady Kazri has only the most noble intentions for the well-being of the kid in her mind!!!!)

Rhogar heads out of the tent and inspects the bodies. As he does so none of the vultures seem inclined to fly down, especially as a seemingly wary tabaxi with a crossbow still stands nearby.
Rhogar's inspection of the two bodies outside of the tent reveals a woman who appears to be dressed as the chief and a man whose clothing marks him to likely be the shaman of the clan. Both suffer multiple weapon wounds. Tracks in and around the camp indicate there were quite a few people and the fighting was fierce.
Kazri begins to unbuckle her plate armor, something that will take a full 5 minutes to do. About 1 minute into her beginning to take the pieces off you all hear a lout howl coming from the far side of the camp. It sounds like a large wolf. The boy in the tent becomes even more emotional and is now crying.
Does Kazri continue with her plan to remove her armor?

Rhogar's head jerks up at the noise and soon after he's on his feet, staff swept around and brandished like a polearm. Only after would he look around warily for the source, mentally nudging Gorrah to do much of the same from the air at least ten to fifteen feet up. "Sounds as if we might have company." He comments loud enough for the others. "If not perhaps another survivor? At the very least, I believe I found the chief and shaman of this tribe. Both killed by blade for certain and not tooth and claw for certain." He adds, silently hopeful the words might inspire an ideal plan of action from the others. Just as Gorrah would go on to try and narrow down a direction to point the others to the wolf.

As soon as the wolf howls, Krom takes out the war hammer and keeping the shield ready scans the area. "Indeed Rhogar." The dwarf takes a few steps towards the origin of the howl "I wonder if this tribe was the the Wolf Tribe and their spirit guardian decided to pay a visit." Seeing that Kazri is still within the tent, Krom says "Lass, it's better if you come outside. Can you still speak with animals? We have a huge wolf incoming."
With a loud sigh, Kazri dons her armor back on. She does a quick check on her equipment, and she quickly exits the tent. “Master Krom. Would you mind staying with the child? I will see if I can find out what this creature, whatever that is, wants. Thank you.” Kazri readies her shield and sword, and stays close to the tent that the boy is in, and then she will yell. “State your business!” Towards where the howl came from. If Rhogar is nearby. “What do you see Mr. Nimbatuul?”
(If the spell has lapsed, Kazri will cast again. Kazri positions herself between the boy’s tent and the howl.)

Kazri is just finishing buckling back the pieces of her armor that she had started to take off when another loud howl is heard, this time closer. As she calls out another loud howl answers her and out from behind one of the tents, about 45 feet away to the north steps not a wolf, but a man.
He holds a wicked curved blade and lets out another fierce howl as he sees you.
"Where is the boy!" He calls. "Send him out or I will kill you all."
Rhogar looked about ready to answer, but wound holding his tongue at the sight of the approaching man. Confused, he almost started to lower his weapon, only to reaffirm his grip and glare, dorsal fin extending at the demand. "Mind yourself, Human, least you find yourself on the ground."He spat back venomously as electricity begun crackling across his teeth. "What business do you have with this boy? Were you the one that cut down the Shaman and Chief of this tribe?"

He then waited to see how big the animal was that approached. He was a bit surprised to see it was only a man and not a large wolf. Perhaps a lycanthrope he wondered to himself.
