Krom opens one of his pouch and after checking its contents says to Rendaril "I have used up most of my gold already, so I'll just take one extra rope and an block and tackle kit."
Kazri finds two magical potions, and she is very interested on both, but she is here for her spell component. "Hum... I am actually looking for a diamond worth 300gp. Do you happen to have any?" While waiting for the response, she thinks which of the potions on her hand would work better for their current situation.

Rendaril laughs. "Ah yes, that's right. A diamond. 300 gold eh? Let me see, let me see." He moves back behind his counter and looks through a few things, muttering to himself the whole time. Eventually he straightens and lays out a small cloth on the counter and sets down a diamond. "That should do it. 350 gold is a fair price. Gotta make some profit, what do you say? Its worth at least 300 gold and should suite your purpose just fine."
Rhogar studies the potions found only a few moments with Gorrah looming on his shoulder; but eventually, the dragonborn grins and declares, "These will do most nicely! I'll take these both, good sir. That is, if you don't mind at least some payment in silver." It took him a couple of minutes after that to actually sort out the coin -- plenty of time for the others are finalizing their own purchase -- BUT eventually the draconic pair of the group get the coin sorted out on a table.
--> Coin Deducted: 260 gp and 400 sp (adding up to 300gp for Rhogar's found potion)
"Also, just out of curiosity, have you done any business from the of Dougard's or Dougal's Hole? And that of Good Mead as well? As we'll be heading that way, and I was wondering if you might know a bit about either from traders from down that way."

"Ah, yes, Good Mead. And they've got it ya know? All the best mead for Icewind Dale comes from Good Mead. Though I don't trade in it myself there be problems there. In Good Mead, the town speaker was recently killed by a nine-foot-tall giant. Rumor has it the giant stole a shipment of honey mead, without which a handful of taverns in Ten-Towns might go dry! As for Dougan’s Hole it's the smallest and most insular of the ten towns. Its residents aren’t fond of visitors, and inbreeding has caused the population to dwindle in recent years is what I heard. Not much happens there." Rendaril answers as he accepts Rhogar's coins.

When Rendaril proposes the price of the diamond, she thinks about Chill, and how he bargained with the Townmaster at Targos. Then she thinks about one of the very few memories that she has with her father. Whenever he was home, which was very rare, he would take her to the market, then he would bargain with a vendor. It didn't really matter what they were buying, she has really no memory of what was purchased, but she did remember, that he would spend a lot of time haggling with the poor vendor. She hated that, and she didn't want to do the same here. However, she takes out her backpack, and she sees that she has only 458 gold pieces. She figures that in this frigid cold, the potion of fire breath would have its tactical purposes.
She puts the potion on the counter. "I understand that that everyone needs to make a living, however, we are here to save the region from this never ending winter. I only have 450gp, and we could also use this Potion of fire breath if we are to save the region. What about you make the diamond and the potion for what I have on my person?"

Rendaril thinks for a moment. "Hmm, yes okay. You folks will be good for business, so sure, I'll cut you a bit of slack on the price. 450 gold total then. Pleasure doing business with you."
"As for you master dwarf, that'll be 2 gold if you want hempen rope, 11 gold if you want the silk rope."
"If we do cross path with that giant, he will pay for stealing the mead and murdering the speaker." says Krom as he pulls out 2 gold coins. "I'll take the hempen rope then."
"Indeed. Rather small for a true giant though. But perhaps... hmm...."Rhogar trailed off there rubbing his chin. "Well, either way, mayhaps an opportunity once we arrive there will alot us a chance to look further into that business. As there's yet other trouble we are yet to undermine in the coming days." He cracks a grin. "Enough to perhaps even warrant a shopping list, as Chip might've put it.... a shame our friend couldn't stick around though to continue warm up the hearts of those yet bedraggled by all this ice maiden business. But, to each their own."

Kazri thought that she did a good job making her case, but she is still surprised that Rendaril accepted her offer. "Right, of course. Here is the payment." She hands the gold pieces on the counter.

The half orc nods and hands over the 200 gold for the item, a smirk forming on his face as he imagines the things that he would be able to use the item for.
As Kazri mentions Oli, Krom says to Rendaril "I'll take 30 gold pieces worth of metal. Any items within that value will do." After the merchant provides the items, Krom pays him and exits the shop.
Oli is kinda like a sitcom child that each season ages far faster than the people around him. He'll get bigger soon enough. Just keep feeding him!
(Why do I have a feeling the DM is referring to a certain sitcom involving two Marvel super heroes…)

"You may be better off seeking the local blacksmith for that, Master Krom. But-..."Rhogar looks to Rendaril with a half-smile. "Who am I to take away from potential business for our good friend here." With then a chuckle while tucking away his purchases, Rhogar made for the exit with Gorrah once more slipping her way back into the comforts of his hood. "I'll head on ahead. See you guys outside, if not by the gate."
"We do not have time to visit another shop Rhogar, any items made of metal will do. I can reshape them later." says Krom with a smile as the group exits the shop. "The dog sleds should be ready by now. " adds "shall we go friends?"
"Well, I have shovels and metal crampons and the like. Take 30 gold worth. That's fine. A sale is a sale, doesn't matter to me what you do with it after." Rendaril answers Krom.
