With the giant finally seen to, Rhogar started to breath a sigh of relief before realizing one glaring problem. "Ah shoot. Now it's blocking the entryway a might bit! I'm going around to see if we can yet head off his friend!"The dragonborn hardly waits for a response from the others before backtracking to the center chamber and cutting through the eastern path where he saw the camp fire last. Along the way he sends out a mental message to Gorrah to be on alert and let him know if she spotted any giants fleeing out of the gave on the far right!

"Wait Rhogar!" starts to say Krom as the dragonborn backtracks to the center chamber "It's better if we stay together." adds the dwarf as he gestures to the rest of the group to follow him as he rushes after Rhogar.
Kazri join the others. "There is an awakened bear in the cave we just came from. It is unconscious now, and I have disabled it with ropes. Oli is watching over it at the moment." Kazri scans towards the place where she heard the howl, to check if it is still there. (Perception: 9)

"Let's track it down." Chill says as he moves to follow Krom but as Rhogar heads into the chamber that has the fire, Chill continues south through the center passage/entrance, using his feline agility as he does so to reach the mouth of the cave. He'll then find a place to hide to see of the ogre leaves the caves, readying an attack if it does.
Kazri hears nothing from the direction of where Oli watches the unconscious bear.
Rushing through the chamber with the fire you see that the bonfire in the middle of this cave keeps it lit and relatively warm. The scent of roasting meat fills the air as a hunk of meat on a spit drips juices into the fire. Goats and sheep are held in a spacious animal pen enclosed by a crude wooden fence. Other features of the cave include a wooden cart with a broken wheel, two old crates, and two barrels.
You just catch a glimpse of the the ogre heading south and about the same time Gorrah alerts Rhogar that the ogre is leaving through the right entry point. But Chill is ready for it and a well placed shot nearly takes the ogre down as it stumbles and almost falls.
"There!" points the dwarf as he barely sees the ogre heading south. Krom keeps running towards the exit of the cavern as fast as his dwarvish legs can carry him. "By the sounds that the fleeing ogre is making, it looks like that our friend Chill managed to get a clear shot." says the dwarf as he runs.
Kazri hears Chill's shot, and she runs after the Ogre. (Kazri dashes towards the creature. Not sure, but if she has enough movement, she will end up south of the ogre.)

"Aye. But it may not be enough!"Rhogar called back to the others as he himself continued to charge out of the right exit with Vixix horn held high above him. And in seeming failure to learn from the last time a giant had managed to strike him last, there was no stopping for the Dragonborn until he was right up on the creature's side, ready to deliver a swift retribution! In the meantime, he'd mentally bid Gorrah to stay on alert, and if it seemed needed, fly in to try and sting Ogre into unconsciousness.

Krom catches up with Rhogar and Chill just as the ogre falls unconscious on the ground. "Good job Gorrah!" says the dwarf. "What do we do with him? Even if the giants have been defeated, a single ogre is still a threat for the village." Krom walks closer to the ogre "We should not let him go. He and his giant friends have butchered the villagers." says Krom as he points his war hammer at the creature. The dwarf turns towards the cave's entrance "After dealing with the ogre, we should check the cave and also free those poor animals."
Rhogar huffs through his nose as he by that point loomed a little over the Ogre. His staff had been lowered as well, seeing no further threat no immediate threat in the giant-kin. Yet his grip tightened at Krom's words. "... While I will not discount any past actions of the Ogre, it was those other giants described to us that are known for having done the deed. And... it would best not to dwaadle here for too long arguing over their innocence. But still..." Rhogar trailed off from a moment still glaring at the Ogre until he could but shake his head. "... I would like to speak with them first before passing judgement. So for now my fellows, allow me to watch over them for now. And in the meantime, finish exploring the rest of the cave."

Kazri is running after the Ogre, thinking of ways to disable it before it escapes. When from behind, Gorrah zooms past her, and before she knows it, the Ogre is down. After inspecting the Ogre to make sure it is no longer a threat. "I agree with Mr. Nimbatuul. We should, at the very least, try to find out what their purpose here." She sheathes her sword. "If you do not mind, I will check on Oli, and the awakened bear." Kazri goes to check on the bear.

"Very well then." replies Krom as Rhogar and Kazri express their intentions regarding the ogre. "I'll search the rest of the cave and that statue Chill mentioned earlier." The dwarf places back the hammer on its belt harness and walks back into the cave.
Kazri finds Oli standing over the bear which is now conscious again but still securely tied up. She sees that the frozen stream ends at a seven-foot-deep frozen pool at the back of a dark cave. Trapped beneath the pool’s ice is a stone statue of a smiling young man, naked except for a well-placed oak leaf, with his face turned toward the sky. The statue in the frozen pool is an outcrop extending from the pool’s rocky bottom. Kazri instantly recognizes it as a depiction of Silvanus, a god of nature; the oak leaf is his holy symbol.
Chill stays with Rhogar as Krom, along with Rekuburk, searches the rest of the cave.
V3. Firelit Cave This cavern is slightly sunken, as all tunnels leading to it slope down gradually.
A bonfire in the middle of this cave keeps it lit and relatively warm. The scent of roasting meat fills the air as a hunk of meat on a spit drips juices into the fire. A small bundle near a log by the fire contains a battleaxe and thick leather boots.
Goats and sheep are held in a spacious animal pen enclosed by a crude wooden fence. Other features of the cave include a wooden cart with a broken wheel, two old crates, and two barrels.
One crate is packed with straw, the other contains ten large torches. The barrels are half-filled with salt and pepper. The livestock pen holds seven goats and six sheep, all in healthy condition.
V4. Refuse Pit This dead-end cavern has a crudely excavated, ten-foot-wide pit in the middle of the floor. The pit, which is 20 feet deep and filled to a depth of 5 feet with bones, trash, and filth.

Suspended from the ceiling of this chamber by a series of ropes and pulleys are six baskets. The baskets contain sheep shears, milk pails, bristle brushes, and several bags of grain and oats. One of the baskets holds 72 sp, 344 cp, a translucent pink moss agate gemstone (10 gp), a healer’s kit, a hunting trap, and a small rabbit-skin bag containing ten silvered sling stones.
Clustered near the south wall are three wooden casks carved with Good Mead’s heraldic symbol: a drinking mug made of a cut-off section of horn, with an antler handle added, upright and centered. One of the three casks is empty, the verbeeg and ogre having likely shared its contents; each of the other two holds 20 gallons of honey mead. Each full cask weighs 200 pounds.

Kazri, with her sword sheathed, sits in front of the bear with legs crossed. She brings up her hands, making a peaceful gesture. "Listen, as stated earlier, I mean you no harm. It is your choice. We can talk, or I may have to put you down, so that you are not a threat to the town. I prefer the first choice." Before the bear is able to respond. Kazri looks to the frozen pond. "This looks like it used to be a temple to Silvanus. Do you happen to know anything about it?"
