Kazri extends a hand to the Speaker. "Perhaps you could use a hand to clean up your town Mr. Speaker." If the speaker takes her hand, she helps clean up some of the snow on the Silver Dragonborn. "What about we go to a warmer place, as Mr. Niimbatuul suggested, and you can give us your report."

Chill grins as he looks between the two dragonborn and sees the clear difference between the two. Rhogar stood upright and had a bearing of power and confidence but this one? Trovus seemed barely able to stand and was that the smell of booze? He was unsure.
"Krom Firebeard of Axeholm, Smith of Moradin at your service, Speaker." says the dwarf as the silver dragonborn introduces himself. "You have a strange way to lay a trap for those thieves of yours." adds Krom pointing at pile of snow surrounding the Speaker. "I too am eager to hear more about them, but as my friends already said, let's do the talking inside." concludes the dwarf.
"Aye then, someplace warmer." Torvun says "Follow me." He leads you back up the lane you came to the first house on the road. "My place, warm enough inside." Following him inside you find a sparsely decorated yet functional home. Its a bit messy and unkept. "Sorry for the mess, too busy trying to catch these thieves to clean up." He pushes off some dirty dishes and clears space at a table. You sit as he throws a couple logs on a low burning fire in the fireplace. A few too many empty bottles of liquor can be seen.
Trovus takes a deep breath, trying to suppress his hiccups, before explaining the situation. “The town has had some thievery troubles. No one’s seen anything, really. Just the other night, the lantern over at the Northern Light was stolen. Cori won’t let me hear the end of it because I haven’t been able to find those responsible. Not yet, anyway. But I have a knack for this stuff.”
If he’s not stopped, Trovus starts a long speech about the adventures he went on in his younger days. His stories include one where he kicked a half-ogre into a river and watched it float away while it yelled profanities at him. Another tells of the time he tricked a group of kobolds into believing he was a dragon in humanoid form.
Krom scratches his chin as he listens to the stories of the dragonborn. As soon as Chill interrupts the Speaker, the dwarf quickly adds "Beside a lantern, what kind of items have been stolen? Did you find any patterns? When did this all started?"
Though in hindsight, he had half a mind to make the excuse of staying outside to watch over the various mounts and so forth, the Bronzeborn only 'justs' resists the temptation (thanks in part to Gorrah's insistence), and makes what arrangements could be made near Torvus' home. And despite his earlier distaste of Trovus, Rhogar and Gorrah found themselves just as wrapped up in the silverborn's story as the rest of the party in the end. But in the wake of Chill's interruption, an embarassed Rhogar looks away grumbling an agreement, yet otherwise leaves the talking to the others.

She just listens to the conversation. Slightly amused by the Speaker's stories, she tries to figure out how much of them are true, and also how true are his intentions since she is quietly studying him.

"Well, there was the missing lantern from the Northern Light. I could take you to the inn so you can talk to the Shorard sisters, who run the establishment. That was the most recent, about three days ago. A pair of goats were stolen from the local tavern and a small sack of pearls carved into decorative beads, gone missing from the stores of Frozenfar Expeditions. Other small things have disappeared from time to time. Never anything big. Maybe some stuff stored outside, firewood, stuff like that. No real pattern except generally stuff left outside, but not always. Like the pearls from Frozenfar Expeditions, they were inside. The Shorard sisters might know more, it was their lantern."
Kazri is unsure of Trovus. He is not deceptive, more like the drink is maybe clouding his mind and he doesn't know, or remember, all of the details of the thefts.
"If the theft from the Northern Light was the most recent that would be the place to start. There may be some evidence left. Has there been recent snow or heavy winds? There may even be tracks to follow. We should head there." Chill says with interest in the mystery. "No chance it's some local is it? Do you have any suspects?"
"Hmm... If I did not know any better, I'd half suspect some goblins found there way here. Perhaps rogues even that have opted to leave, uhm... What was it called again? Grakleslag? Nono! Hmm..."Rhogar paused to rub his chin a couple of times, then waved a hand dismissively. "Regardless, it's not outside the realm of possibility. Then again, it could just as well have been some other hooligans, local or not. Either way, I doubt we'll get more answers here." He says dryly as he ooks to Torvus. "Except perhaps, assuming you're up for it Speaker Torvus, perhaps you wouldn't mind guiding us to these sisters and introducing us?"

"Hmmm" Krom scratches his chin as he speaks, "I too lean on Rhogar's theory; a goblin or a mischeavous gnome, could be the culprit. Anyway, we are better off speaking with those sisters and examine the Inn for evidence or tracks."
"To the Northern Light it is then." Kazri gets ready to go out, but before doing so she approaches the Speaker. "Excuse me Mr. Speaker. Perhaps this may make you feel better." She touches the Silver Dragonborn on his shoulder. Kazri uses her Lay on Hands to cure poison. She hopes that will help the Speaker regain some lucidity.

Trovus leads you through Caer-Konig to the Northern Light on the eastern edge of town. An empty hook, meant to carry a lantern, hangs above the inn’s entrance. His gait is a little stronger and more sure after Kazri's soft touch that perhaps healed him a bit of his ailment of excessive alcohol use.
"There has been no heavy snow or wind recently. Just this blasted cold and darkness. I have heard of you folks though. You are the White Cloaks, said to be doing something about this curse we are under. Its good of you to come our way. We though maybe you had forgotten us. We also heard there was a dragon attacking the Ten-Towns, what came of that? Was it true?" Trovus says as you make your way to the inn. Distracted he seems to have forgotten your other questions about suspects.
The inn appears to be mostly empty. A young woman looks up as you enter, gives Trovus a chastising smile, and says, “Did you fall asleep outside again? I’m telling you, Trovus, one day you’re going to have to stop relying on the kindness of strangers.”
The woman then opens a door into what looks like a kitchen and calls out, “Heat up something for Trovus. He’s been out ‘patrolling’ again.” Her emphasis on the word patrolling and the clear sarcasm lets you know what she thinks of his patrolling. The woman settles Trovus into a chair before approaching you.
"I'm Allie." She says as way of introduction "Cori, is working in the kitchen."
As Trovus settle down in the inn, Kazri settles her heave shield to the side of a table. "Pleased to meet you. Name's Kazri. We will pay for the Speaker, thank you very much." Kazri puts 5 gp on Allie's hand. Then, she sits down, and addresses Trovus. "To answer your question. We did stop the Dragon at Caer-Dineval. It was of Duergar making. Thankfully we arrived just in time."

"It was quite a fight" says Krom at Torvus as he sits next to Chill. "Please double what you were planning to give to my friend here" adds the dwarf as Chill orders some food. "This cold makes me hungry."
"Have you seen anything strange recently? Any travellers coming by?" Krom asks Allie.
Trovus sighs in relief at the word the dragon was stopped. "Good on you then. Dragons can be a pesky problem." he says with an air of one who, at least pretends, to have experience taking out dragons.
Allie confirms that the town has been experiencing break-ins and robberies lately, but no one has witnessed a potential culprit. "The only clue is a set of tracks leading in the direction of Kelvin’s Cairn." Allie says. "I think the tracks were made by dwarves who live in the valley at the base of Kelvin’s Cairn. The endless winter has made the dwarves desperate for food and ale, though I really can’t explain why the dwarves would steal the inn’s lantern and other valuables. I'm also surprised that no one in Caer-Konig has seen or heard the dwarves." She glances over at Krom a bit sheepishly “A quiet dwarf is an oxymoron.”
The door to the kitchen swings open as a stern-looking woman enters holding a tray with steaming bowl of soups. She places a bowl down in front of Trovus and has others for the rest of you and says, “No dwarf did this. Someone would have spotted ’em. Caught ’em. No, there’s something more going on. Besides, what use do hungry dwarves have for a lantern? The magic lantern that used to decorate the outside of our inn doesn’t do anything useful other than light up the area with different colors."
Despite himself, Rhogar cracked a grin at the mention of 'a quiet dwarf', but otherwise would neither confirm or deny the claim. Though a pointed effort was made not to so much as side-eye Krom, least the dwarf's reaction actually spur on a bout of laughter. Thankfully in the wake of the arrival of food, it's scent just powerful enough to even start to begin causing Gorrah to stir, the dragonborn latches on to the change of subject with a slightly too animated "Oooh!", before taking a moment to properly compose himself.
"Perhaps then they sensed more to the lantern than simply a curious color display.
