Mersun's mother chimed in, "Who says anything about leaving? I was asking you to get supplies from the docks... He also owes me some materials that would make good material for your cape..." she added.
Bramnus pauses and hands a pelt to Mesrun’s mother. “Here is a pelt. You seem to be good in crafting. Maybe you can use this and make something for me.”.
"This would do quite nicely..." Mersun's mother remarked, "But I implore you, for the sake of those sick and dying, those supplies may be only a source of comfort for them," She asked.
Mersun put a hand on her shoulder, "I am confident these people are enough, Mother. If they can cure those sick there, they wont need those supplies."
"Fine, daughter." Mersun's mother nodded, "Do what you must. Just please bring the donations I have collected with you at least..." She said and let you all on your way.
Walking out of the shop, Mersun pointed to the square. "Its not far..., but the docks are to the east..., going there might take us an hour at least..."
Eraqrin wanders over to the square after looking out at the town for a while. "Oh hey, guys. Sorry I'm late, I was just checking out the town. It's a great place."
People around the square were either occupied with healing the sick, or struggling to breath. "Are you here to help?" one of the men with a face covering asked the dragonborn.
Saproth arrived with a box of donations at hand to the square. He saw makeshift beds to house the sick. There seems to be at least thirty bed ridden people around.
Mersun motioned for Saproth to place his box over the side, "Thank you. I'll take you all to the Chief now. He should be around here somewhere."
A man then walked up to you all, "Greetings."
Mersun then met him, "I told you I'll find them. As foretold... I present to you, the Heroes."
Mersun then turned to the party, "This is our Chief."
"I am Saproth," He extended his hand in welcome.
"Forgive me if I dont shake your hand at the moment." the Chief replied. "We still dont know for certain how this plague is spreading. So the less contact we have, the better chance of not spreading it any further."
"That is quite understandable." Saproth replied. "We are here to offer our help, but I am not sure what business this 'foretold' is?" Saproth tried to get clarification.
"Our village has been blessed with one Oracle in every generation. Before Mersun, another foretold the arrival of a party that would save us from an untold calamity." The chief explained.
"And when I was eight, I had a vision of meeting you while collecting honey," Mersun added. "And so what has transpired earlier."
"How can we help?" Saproth asked.
"Our healers believe that we may have a solution to this plague. In the nearby hills dwells a Basilisk. We need you to retrieve a couple of eggs so we may make an antidote that can reverse the infected condition." the Chief explained. "But please do not harm the Basilisk. We depend on it to protect us from other monsters from wondering towards the village. It is content to stay in its territory, which deters other creatures from venturing towards the village."
"Basilisk are no simple creature, and I doubt we'll be welcome to simply take some of its brood." T'ohra says with a skeptical look on her face. "Why would this one protect your village?"

"Its not," the Chief answered, "But its territory inadvertently blocked off the only access for any other threat posing creature from access to our village. And as I said, the Basilisk is content staying at its territory."
"And as for your concern if it will allow anyone to take its eggs," the Chief added, "We have been blessed to be able to harvest the Basilisks eggs for generations... we have used them for many medicines before. Unfortunately, those we were counting on to harvest this months eggs have inexplicably disappeared. They were the best that our village can offer, but they have gone missing... the Basilisk usually lays its eggs at the entrance of its layer. She hasn't minded us harvesting eggs before... and we have a great need for them now."
"Hmm. Fair enough, though I can't help but wonder if the disappearance of your egg collectors is somehow related to this disease." T'ohra says, tapping her chin in thought. "Either way, I'd be happy to go and assist in collecting these eggs, though if stealth is involved," at that she shrugs her shoulders, her heavy armor clanking a bit, "it may not be the best task for me."

With a nod, the group headed back to the seamstress shop to replace their gear. Unfortunately, "I dont have anything of that sort at the moment..." Mersun's mother replied, "But Im sure one of the captains men would be happy to spare something for you..." She thought.
"Mother... I feel your funneling us just so we have to go to the docks..." Mersun frowned.
"Capt. Karjos is hard to miss. He is a dashing young man, he just rose to the rank of Captain about a month ago..." She answered Bramnus, "Mersun knows him well..."
Mersun rolled her eyes, "Would you stop setting us up!" She demanded in embarrassment. "Let get moving... we get nothing from here!" She motioned for the to leave.
Arriving at the docks, you find the ship has weighed anchor and was about to leave.
This perplexed Mersun as she was not aware that the ship was scheduled to leave, "Hey, wait!" Mersun leaped aboard just as the plank was removed from dock. "What is going on here!?"
Bramnus says, “Let’s head to the square. I wouldn’t head to the docks until we’re ready to leave.”.

"My mother might have something for you..." Mersun volunteered...
“I suppose we’ll see.” T’ohra nods to the girl.

Running after Mersun, Saproth tried to jump across the gap with her.

Saproth jumped but tripped his foot over the rail as he landed face first into the deck.
T'ohra stood by the dock in confusion, making no attempt to try and leap aboard the apparently rogue vessel.
