"We're hunting floons! Guy name Volo lost his. What about you? You seen any...? What's your name?"

She looks to Dnee for help.

"Oh yeah, sorry... um, Floon is a person. Volo's friend. You've heard of Volothamp Geddarm, right? We're on special business from Volo to find him."

Lyss mentally facepalms at the party's overall lack of discretion or subtlety. 

"Apparently he was misplaced here two nights ago, so unless you were here then...? It would appear he's not here now, so perhaps we ought to move one..."

She nods to the door.

"Besides, whatever is going on over there isn't something children should see.", she gestures at Red and her pair of big bad wolves.

"Oooookay," Kerri says, "how about we all step outside and we try to figure things out."

When Lyss gets Dnee, Aimee, Kerri and whoever else outside, she's share what she learned. 

"Seems he was here with the little Neverember after Volo left, Volo didn't mention that, so assuming he showed up after? Seems they left together, pretty ripped. Two kids like that, dressed all fancy, stumbling through this neighborhood?", she gestures around.

Aimee follows Lyss out.

"What's a little Neverember? Sounds cold and warm at the same time!"

She leans into Kerri and whispers,

"Name's a secret? Or maybe embarrassing? No worries! We are very discreet!"

"Ranaer Neverember," Kerri says, before looking to Lyss, "Kerri, you can call me Kerri."

Dneevar follows Kerri and Aimee out, relieved to get away from the drunkards. He politely listens in to the conversation.

Aimee smiles and nods encouragingly

"Kerri is a great name! No need to be ashamed of it! No as good as Aimee or Dnee but still really good. Definitely better than Ranaer! You know him?"

"I'm not ashamed of it," Kerri says, closing her eyes and taking a deep breath, "just... start from the beginning and tell me what's brought you here of all places."

Aimee takes a deep breath and responds,

"Well, today I got kicked out of my temple for having fire too close to books. So I'm homeless! Well I found Lyss and then we found Threestrings, he was doing a show at the Gaping Maw and it was great!  He played Knightmare. With a K. Anyhow, then there was a troll, I killed it. The bartender helped. So did Dnee. There were batbugs and I blasted some and Lyss got some but got bit, she is good now! Right Lyss? So then this old Volo guy comes and says,"

She does Volo's voice,

"Heroes, help me! I have lost my Floon, you must recover him! Look to the Skewed Dragon for the Floon."

She switches back with a gasp,

"So we got some things from Trani's room then came south. There were dead bodies over there and Dnee said they were victims of foul play! Then we got here and you were here and saw. No Floon!"

Aimee gasps again.

"Right? Or do you want me start from earlier? Did I miss anything Lyss?"

"Threestrings is a bard. And our friend. I'm already kinda homeless, so I'm showing Aimee how to do it in style. Umm... Red is engaged to Volo or something, and he gave her a hat instead of a ring I think, I wasn't paying close attention to that part, and was covered in blood and pie."

"I know Threestrings," Kerri says, fingers pinching the sides of her nose for a few moments before she looks at the two of them, "how old are you two?"

Aimee looks ready to answer then remembers something, looks at Lyss and gives a knowing wink, before answering,

"Old enough!"

"Yep, old enough."

Kerri looks at the two of them, takes another deep breath, and looks to Dnee, "so Floon was last seen with Raener Neverwinter yes? Well, Raener's missing too, and I've been looking for him."

Aimee gasps,

"No! No, not Raener too! We should team up! Got any leads?"

“I am unsure who this Raener Neverember is, but regardless, I will gladly embark to save two souls,” Dnee simply states. “I am slightly suspicious that this might be the work of the Xanathar Guild, but there’s no true way of knowing.”

"Oh, the Xanthar guild! Like that stuffed one over there? Why would they want Floon?"

"Who know's" Kerri says, "I'm just worried about both of them. This can't be nice. I was working up the courage to start talking to people when you arrived."
