"Well, we're here," says Dnee. "I'll grab some things and I'll be right back." He opens the front door and begins to walk in. "You know what, you guys are welcome to come inside."

Kerri follows Dnee, "I am sorry that I offended you both," she says to Amiee and Lyss, "Threestrings doesnt ask me to do much so when he does I get worried."

Aimee heads right in.

"Wasn't offended!"

Aimee looks around eagerly.

"It's alright. I shouldn't blame you ... letting people underestimate me usually works out in my favor. We can keep up though, I promise."

(The kids are about 7-8, wearing pretty cheap clothing.)

As You follow Dnee into his house, you are in a hallway, with stairs straight ahead, a living room to the left, and a kitchen to the right. You wait in the living room as Dnee heads upstairs, returning a few minutes later, with a big Maul. 

Lyss is on good behavior and sits on her hands in the living room while we wait.

Kerri looks at the girls for a few moments, before she sits down. When Dnee comes back down with the glaive she raises an eyebrow, "Interesting choice of weapon."

"Wow! That things like three times longer than I am tall! You must be pretty good with that not to be knocking things over with it when you try to use it!"

“Oh, this?” Dnee asks, referring to his maul. “It was an old family heirloom. I wanted to keep up the family legacy. My ancestors were fearless warriors, and I want to follow in their footsteps.”

 Dnee laughs in response to Lyss. “Yes, I’ve had plenty of weapon training, definitely enough to use this effectively.” He straps the maul into his back. “So, where are we heading now?” he turns to the group.

((Maul, not glaive? Still bigger than a two and a half foot tall halfling tween can swing.))

"Wow, that's a big hammer!"

Then hops up when they are ready to go,

"6 Candle Lane! It's close right? We should run to get Floon and Raener so we can get our money and go to bed, otherwise we'll be tired tomorrow! Dnee, can I live here now? You have lots of room!"

Dnee shakes his head as he tries not to laugh at Aimee. "Almost as big as me," he follows her up. "I do have room enough, but I'd have to ask Kalik if we could take you in. I'm sure she'd accept you. For now, assuming that we don't find Floon and Raener by nightfall, we'll have to sleep out in the open, and in that case, I can be your pillow that you can rest your head on. Just to warn you, I can get very cold. I might have to wrap you up in a blanket." He laughs again.

"In the open? We can't come back here even if we don't find them? Where is Kalik? Lyssli too, right?" Aimee shrugs, "I sleep warm! Lyssli, we can live here now!"

Aimee is beaming at how good she is at finding places to live.

Lyss gives an awkwardly evasive smile. "So, Candle Lane, worth checking that out while we're down here?"

"I suppose it's a better lead than anything I've found so far," Kerri says, "wouldn't hurt to look their first."

Aimee stands and goes to the door,

"The quicker we find Floon the quicker we can come back! Lead the way Lyssli!"

((If the group is ready to depart, Lyss will head toward the address, keeping to the shadows and sneaking for an advance peek as they get close.))

Setting out fron Dnees house you make it to Candle lane, the familiar smell of the dock ward assaulting your noses. Gloom envelops a narrow alley as dark as a dungeon — and as odorous as one, too. Nearly all the streetlamps have been smashed. The only light that pierces the darkness is a faint flickering from down the lane, like a distant candle.
