(Would he know a Lord Trajan? I was hoping Saville might have said something about local powers but we can just as well say he didn't. Dealer's choice really. Here's a... History check? In case it's relevant. 16)
Even with a lifetime of study, Mordekai can’t pinpoint the exact nature of what the exorcist is talking about.
Just as Mordekai exits the cell, the Friends spell ends. The change in the exorcist is apparent- he springs off the ground and attempts to grab Mordekai!
“Heretic! The purifying light will purge your demonic soul!”
Initiative: 20
Mordekai, roll initiative. Anyone who wishes to intervene, also roll initiative.
(General store coming soon.)
"Don't touch him you mad man!" Slurb cries out as he sees the exorcist attacking Mordekai.

The exorcist rushes forward with unnatural speed, attempting to crush Mordekai's windpipe!
Grapple Check: 17
(Regular rules for opposing grapples)
Meanwhile, the doctor stands by, passively watching the commotion. You see him flick a needle of some fluid medicine.
(Since I use a variant side initiative, anyone can act in any order.)
@Fallion
(The check is a success. We can say Saville mentioned it to you in passing. Time is not really a big deal in the town thread, so though Fallion has arrived recently, he's like to have been around for some time to learn about the local nobility- basically, he has the same chances as anyone else. If this is unclear, you can ask me in the OOC Thread.)
Saville mentioned Lord Trajan being one of the bigger fish in Trishdale. He was only a teenager when his father, patriarch of the Trajan house, fled from a violent conflict in their home country. Since then, Trajan has consolidated his family's power in Trishdale and is noted to have a large amount of influence.
(@PlumPie. About two hours until the sun falls. Since you are in a building right now, Sensitivity wouldn't come into play. In fact, most of the interesting things do happen at night...
Also, though you did roll a higher initiative than the exorcist, you will unfortunately have to go after him.)

(If he dodges the grapple and the only person left in the cell is the monk, he will attempt to leave the cell and use Thaumaturgy to shut the cell door.)
(If he fails the grapple check, he try to intimidate the monk by casting Minor Illusion and causing a frightening woman's scream to come from Mordekai: Intimidation: 9)
"Two! That's it old man!" She's about to blast his face off when she sees Mordekai's attempt to escape. "Mordekai, try it again! I will ask my patron to guide you!".

Fallion takes a split moment to think. Tlanbourn really is too heavy a name to be throwing out without knowing this Trajan's character. He wouldn't want him to think that he is a threat to Trajan's position here... He turns to Efritta behind him. Efritta Hal'Kolt. Knowing her, she wouldn't hold that against him... that will have to do, for now. "I am from house Hal'Kolt, Lord Trajan. Squire, show him my seal." He says, hoping she would understand and show the symbol of her house as if it was his.
"Apologies for the late visit. I am new to your domain, you see. An errant knight, and this is my squire. We are looking for information that could help us put an end to your yearly troubles. Anything you can provide would be much appreciated, and of course we would credit your aid should we succeed." He carefully observes Trajan, seeing if he can glimpse his character through his reactions.
(Insight: 6)
(Geez, I forgot passive insight is a thing. If you can let me use that instead, great, if not, I'll just try not to roll next time...)
In the sanitarium, Mordekai is grappled by the exorcist. As his Minor Illusion rings out, Limine attempts to assist with a Guidance: 4
Khan steps up to the madman and delivers two quick chops at the back of his neck. A devastating attack, a flicker of reason enters the exorcist's eyes, but madness quickly takes over again. Though he is on the brink, he continues his delusion-fueled assault on Mordekai.
The sudden sound of a woman's scream seems to confuse the man, but he only applies more strength in an attempt to crush Mordekai's windpipe!
Efritta immediately understands what Fallion is implying. She rifles the seal of Hal'Kolt from her pack, which Trajan glances at with a hint of a frown.
"Hal'Kolt, huh? A prestigious house indeed. But I did not realize they would send a knight here without alerting me ahead of time...nevermind."
Trajan's poker expression doesn't lend itself to interpretation. He merely says to the gnome, "Let him in. This misguided nobleman should learn what Trishdale is truly like."
The gnome stammers and opens the door for Fallion. The first floor of the general store is not unlike every trading store- shelves stocked with goods and provisions. But Fallion would notice the excessive amount of religious symbols on the walls, and the white chalk covering each doorway. Lord Trajan ascends a flight of stairs to the second floor. Occupying a large storage room is a congregation of elderly citizens. Many of them appear to be minor nobility or learned scholars. As Fallion enters, all the eyes in the room turn to him.
A tiefling priestess, which Fallion recognizes leading the procession, stops praying and speaks to the knight. "What are you doing here?"

Scab uses the distraction to slink through the shadows of the room and surroundings, scrounging for any valuables or collectibles that could be dropped. Life was tough to get by in Trishdale, and you couldn't leave any opportunity wasted, especially as a diminutive kobold. He'll take the moment to additionally scour the hallway and surroundings for anything interesting going on.
Limine's bolt of energy blasts the exorcists head into pieces, splattering the cell and everyone in it in blood!
The gaunt doctor was just about to approach the exorcist with a hypodermic needle, but stops as his white lab-coat is covered in blood. He narrows his eyes as he looks at Mordekai and Limine.
"You take me as an uneducated swine, don't you? I recognized that charm spell the moment you cast it," pointing at Mordekai. But then turning to Limine he says,
"But you mentioned you had a patron. Something capable of granting the power to annihilate this poor madman. I know what you are."
Then, the doctor yells.
"Get out of my Sanitarium! If the Abbey finds out about this, they'll be send the Inquisition after you. And then, you might as well kiss your patron goodbye."
Scab manages to find a blood-soaked holy symbol in the priest's robes, worth maybe 5 gold.
The doctor thinks for a moment and says, "Though if you manage to defeat the spirit coming tonight...I may choose to not inform them of your dark allegiances"
Slurb just kinda stands there, in shock from getting blood forcefully blasted into his face.
