Siege of St. Andral's - Round #2 - Dadeveth's Turn!
The Vampire Spawn screeches as the loud ringing sound erupts in her ears. She struggles against Galqarin's firm grip to no avail. A number of bats, roughly a third, drop from the nearby swarm, their little carcasses littering the ground below.
((Coming in clutch with those saving throws - oof!))
Galqarin - Dadeveth expertly avoids hitting you with her spell. You can tell that whatever was cast has caused damage to the Vampire Spawn you are currently throttling. A look of uncertainty crosses her face as she desperately claws at your arms. It is your turn.
Galqarin will drag the vampiress as to place her between him and the bats. He will attempt to force her to the floor before laying into her with a kick.
Shove (Athletics): 13 Unarmed attack: 20 (15 in case of advantage from prone), 8 bludgeoning damage.
Galqarin moves diagonally South East and vampire is moved diagonally North West, if that makes sense. That also means Ferelyon is free to move without opportunity attacks if needs be.
Siege of St. Andral's - Round #2 - Galqarin's Turn!
Maintaining his grip on the Vampire Spawn, Galqarin attempts to shove her to the ground. Unfortunately, the woman avoids the bugbear's clumsy attempt, howling in triumph. Her victory is short-lived, however, as Galqarin manages to land a hefty kick on her left thigh.
Dormark - Inside the Church, you can see your companions all closing in around Volenta. Despite a number of attacks striking the Vampiress, she seems to be unscathed. You watch as Cerio positions himself to flank her. Meanwhile, both Baern and Valerie stand toe-to-toe with her desperately trying to gain the advantage. It is your turn to act.
Battlemap:
EDIT: Vampire Spawn is still grappled by Galqarin.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Dormark looks back as the helpless townsfolk get torn apart by the bats. Sandu can quickly feel the temperature of the warforge he is touching seem to spike and has hot steam seems to exude from Dormark's mouth into the Vallaki air. Turning towards the vampire in front of him Dormark eyes begin to glow and feels the hall with a red glow. The hammer appears in his hand, the head of it seeming to be ablaze in holy fire.
"Moradin let me strike true," yells Dormark as he throws the guiding bolt at Volenta.
Attack: 17 Damage: 13
He begins charging forward but deviates to run towards the Father.
Siege of St. Andral's - Round #2 - Dormark's Turn!
Uttering a quick prayer to Moradin, Dormark proceeds to unleash the bolt of righteous fire towards Volenta. She lets out an agonised scream as it crashes into the side of her face, smashing away part of the mask. Underneath the mask, you see a stunningly beautiful young woman. She scowls at Dormark. "How dare you! HowDARE you!" she screams in a childlike voice, her hand shakily moving to her damaged mask.
Dormark, acting instantly, proceeds to run towards the elderly father.
Valerie's Turn
Valerie, reeling from Volenta's attack, says a quick prayer to Tyr before touching her brow. A number of her injuries begin to knit shut and heal.
Lay on Hands: 11hp restored.
Dallid - You watch as Galqarin continues to struggle with the Vampire Spawn to your right. His giant bugbear arms firmly holding her in place. To your left another, gentleman Vampire Spawn, is closing in on your position, his arms held up menacingly. Not only that, but a rather large number of tiny, little bats seem to be circling in front of the church; though Dadeveth's spell seems to have dented their number. It falls on you and Ferelyon to act, it is your turn.
Dallid looks between the vampires and his eyebrows go up in shock as though just now realizing the danger. “Oh dear.”
Ferelyon advances on the vampire with Galqarin, growling and snarling. Dallid unfurls the magical whip on his hip and gestures to the bats. “Those have to go,” and he moves up next to Dadeveth (putting her between him and the gentleman vampire) as he lashes out towards the bats with the whip.
Dallid advances and unleashes a wicked-looking attack against the nearest swarm of bats. A number of the tiny creatures fall to the group, dead; the swarm diminished to around 10% of its initial size.
Baern's Turn
Baern holds out his right hand, a number of small electric tendrils come shooting forth towards Volenta.
Attack: 20 Damage: 1
Unfortunately, the tendrils fizzle out before they make contact with Volenta. Thinking fast, Baern then grabs a small piece of parchment from his pockets and speaks the prayer contained within. Casting Shield of Faith, a shimmering field of protection surrounds Valerie.
Vasili's (and Father Lucian's) Turn
Vasili spends his turn crouching down and seeing to the Father's injuries. "Dormark, I've got to get the Father to safety," he yells over the noise. He proceeds to lead Lucian to the right of the church, putting distance between him and Volenta.
Vampire Spawn (Gentleman)'s Turn
Running up to Dadeveth, the gentleman Vampire Spawn smiles charmingly. "I must apologise for my lateness," he says politely, "but, I am afraid I have certain obligations. Namely the dispatching of any looking to defend." - he nods his head gesturing towards the church.
He lunges towards Dadeveth, his fangs showing.

The Vampire Spawns hands grasp on to Dadeveth, holding her in place.
Dadeveth - you are now grappled. As an action, you may attempt to escape on your turn by either making a successful strength or dexterity check (DC 13).
Volenta's Turn
Volenta touches her face, still feeling Dormark's attack. She turns her attention from Baern and Valerie instead focusing on the warforged with unbridled rage in her eyes. She charges at Dormark, incurring an opportunity attack from Baern.
Baern OA: Attack: 22 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
Reaching Dormark unscathed, she violently attacks multiple times in quick succession;
Attack: 8 Damage: 8
Attack: 11 Damage: 7
Attack: 9 Damage: 10
Attack: 13 Damage: 10
The majority of the attack scratch ineffectually off of the Warforged's frame; causing superficial, surface-level damage. The last, however, manages to penetrate Dormark's defences and deal 9 slashing damage.
Swarm of Bats
The swarms of bats fall upon Dallid and Dadeveth, their tiny little mouths attempting to find an opening.
Attacks against Dadeveth:
Attack: 20 Damage: 4
Attack: 22 Damage: 4
Attacks against Dallid:
Attack: 23 Damage: 8
Attack: 5 Damage: 4
Attack: 12 Damage: 4
The bats manage to land a number of attacks against poor Dadeveth, dealing 14 piercing damage. Dallid fares better, taking 3 piercing damage.
Ireena's Turn
Ireena, unable to find her brother anywhere, heads towards the main hall of the church. She dashes around the perimeter towards Father Lucian and Vasili.
Cerio - You watch as Volenta rushes towards Dormark, clawing viciously at the warforged. It seems that both Vasili and Ireena are seeing to the elderly Father's needs. Currently, Volenta stands with her back to you. It falls upon you to act, it is your turn.

Now is his chance! Ignoring the shouts that come from outside the church, Cerio seizes the moment with Volenta's back turned. He darts forward between the pews. As he nears her, he raises the blade... No--it flies up over his head, seeming to propel him forward in its pursuit of blood. With a lunge he strikes down as hard as he can in a chopping motion, the blade aimed for Volenta's neck ((flanking)).
Cerio's: Attack: 15 Damage (piercing): 8 plus sneak attack damage of 12. If Volenta is below her hit point max, she takes an additional 4 necrotic damage.
Spinning on the ball of his feet, he pivots and flits away with grace, trying to maintain distance from this she-devil.
((Cunning action to disengage as a bonus action, avoiding opportunity attacks. Moving to a position 15 feet southwest of Volenta.))
Cerio is a blur as he darts forward. He catches Volenta completely unaware as he chops down into her neck, crunching through skin and bone. Volenta lets out a howl and attempts to spin to confront Cerio, but he is too quick and bounds safely away.
((I worked out the movement; I use the 5-10 rule on diagonal movement - so 15ft movement was two squares. Cerio is able to tell that Volenta was able to resist a portion of the attack's damage (even though it came from a magical weapon).))
Sandu - A howl sounds through the church as Cerio chops down on Volenta with a strange-looking shortsword. It appears that the Vampiress is injured and in a vicious rage, blindly lashing out at Dormark. The battle appears to be turning in your favour, it is your turn.
With the opportunity to press their advantage, Sandu hurriedly scuttled a bit forwards to get a clear view of Volenta who, by all accounts, was not having a good day. There was noise coming from outside the church but Sandu could only hope that those outside could handle themselves. The vampiress presented the bigger danger and she needed to be dealt with first, for a faint, unknown memory hinted at him what she could and would do were she not stopped here. With a clear line of sight and tracing an imaginary line towards her chest, Sandu once more conjured forth a purplish bolt of energy and blasted it with a green afterburn at Volenta.
Move: I think Sandu needs to move 1 or 2 squares up to get line of sight Action: Eldritch Blast Attack: 26 Damage: 15
Sandu moves forward cautiously. His eyes narrow as he spots his target. Unleashing the Eldritch Blast beam at Volenta, it hits the target square in the chest, expertly missing Valerie. Volenta turns to Sandu, her eyes wide in panic now. "What? Who are you?!"she screams at him before wiping blood from her mouth.
DM Rolls:
Argh to believe I just resisted this last turn!

Those in close proximity with the Vampiress would see that her blood was mixed with black bile.
Vampire Spawn's (right) Turn
Once more, the vampire spawn's wounds appear to knit themselves back together, rejuvenating. Unable to reach the bugbear she instead lashes out at the target within reach - Ferelyon. Attempting to rake her claws down the wolf's faces.
Attack: 8 Damage: 9
Attack: 18 Damage: 8
Ferelyon manages to nimbly dodge the first attack. However, the follow-up attack makes contact with Ferelyon's second head, dealing 8 slashing damage.
Dadeveth - You find yourself in the heat of battle. A Vampire Spawn currently has you grappled, his long arms holding tightly onto your torso. Furthermore, a number of tiny bats have swarmed down on you, their little mouths biting into your skin. Every moment is vital as it appears you are quickly becoming overwhelmed, it is your turn.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Dadeveth pulls herself together. She looks to Galqarin. "Be strong and we can survive this..." She then drives her magical rapier at the vampire holding her.
1d6 Bardic inspiration to Galqarin, with a mote of potential. if they use it for an ability check, they roll the bardic inspiration twice and pick which to use. if they use it for an attack, those enemies within 5 feet get an extra bit of thunder damage equal to the bardic dice roll. If used for a saving throw, then Galqarin gains temp HP equal to the bardic dice roll.
Siege of St. Andral's - Round #3 - Dadeveth's Turn
As Dadeveth speaks words of encouragement to Galqarin, he feels a renewed sense of hope and inspiration surge through his body. Unfortunately, the Vampire Spawn currently gripping Dadeveth is able to easily evade her attacks. The rapier twitches in her hands, eager to make contact with its foe.
Galqarin - You feel spurred on by Dadeveth's words. The Vampire Spawn in front of you struggles in your hands, frustrated at your grasp. She smirks at her current predicament."It would seem we are at a bit of an impasse," she nods her head towards Dadeveth. "Any damage you inflict on me, my companion will wreak on your friend tenfold," she says, her voice dripping with malice. It is your turn.
Dadeveth prances back a step from the vampire, then casts a spell...
