My spells don't have material component and I assumed I'd have it anyway as it basically a weapon but I'm going for a rp element by highlighting finding it.

Vhon - Level 2 Warlock - What shall become of the Drunken Sailor?
So let's do a long rest with the following order of watch: Yordis, Droogan, Tilly, Val, Bowlder (Good?) While our DM is prepping our encounter we can strategize our next steps.
The characters rest waiting 'til well after dark to break for it. The players wait for the DM to let us know if that will allow a long rest. (If it's 6-8, sun down, we can check out between 2 and 4)
If it's well after dark an 8 hour rest, starting our day at 6, might put us in a tough spot. D'em early risers...
You have no idea when it is currently, you fought at maybe 2 or 3 in the afternoon, but from there it's your guess, in terms of getting back you are 3 levels under the earth currently.
From the guard assuming you did chat with him on the way here, you know they go to bed at 9 and get up at up 630, ready for 730 matches and breakfast does not come. They have a mix of static and moving sentries but you are unable to glean shift changes or a map of the locale.
Droogan piles up some loose fabric and finds some books among the equipment. He keeps watch for a couple hours before bothering Yordis, who agreed to take the second shift.
"Be sure and get some rest, wake Tilly before long, she's managed to avoid harm today. We'll get started well before the guards if we can manage, maybe 6 hours."
He starts to read but can't make heads or tails of half of it. He tosses the book aside and falls asleep.
Yordis rises and readies his gear, pausing to make a short prayer which he finishes by resting his forehead against his holy symbol. "Ready to get out of here?" he asks the group. He also readies his crossbow, looking at Tilly, saying "Are you sure you don't want the crossbow?"
Are we going for "prisoner escorts" again?

Tilly carries the bag with the head and hands in it.
I'm assuming we're making our way back to the arena.
Tilly will move ahead of everyone in stealth mode. If she senses anything funny she'll observe for a second and then return to the group with the info.
If anything looks like a loot stash or command post she's going to guide the group there to try and find her locket.
So, both Tilly and Droogan have a fairly good idea of their way out and lead the way. After about maybe 15 min you find a way up to the next level of the complex and you hear the footsteps of someone ahead.
Before Tilly takes off, Bowlder uses a tribal skill called "Merge With Stone" on the entire group.
Pass Without Tracefor the next hour, add +10 for Stealth (Dex) rolls. So Tilly gets a 35. As long as this is useful, won't be raging.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Droogan sees Tilly is still wearing her guards uniform, but feels a single tiny guard escorting 4 capable prisoners is far fetched. He'll trust her to deal with any trouble either with stealth or guile, but he's ready to fight if there's trouble.
With the approaching foot steps he moves into a corner and tries to stay still in his creaking armor (Stealth disadv: 16 Edit:26)

Same here -- the spells I've used haven't needed the focus. I thought I remembered being told that everything was gone save our weapons and armor.

Did we find out anything to help us from Guardio?

I say we fast forward to the end of a long rest whenever that may be and take our chances.
You set down to rest the night - evening, ah, long rest and it is uneventful. What will be your next step?

Valentinus will hold off on the disguise. He'll use it if we need it, but he'd prefer to hold on to his spell slots.
He'll keep up the rear, scoping to make sure they aren't being followed.

Two men who do NOT look like guards run past, one you can't be sure if he is male as he isn't human.
