In nearly every edition of DnD I have played, magic items are far more resilient than their mundane counterparts; magic books have survived being in burning carriages and being submerged in water, magic rope has refused to cut, weapons had a better chance of not being destroyed by rust monsters, in pathfinder they had higher HP and hardness, etc. On DnD Beyond, a +1 net only has 5HP and is destroyed if takes that much slashing damage - just like a normal net - with the only difference being +1 to hit and damage, and since a net doesn't deal damage, it is only a +1 to hit. Also, since it is magical, its magic is not restored when a mending spell is used on it, making it into a mundane net after a single use. Finally, since ghosts are immune to the restrained condition, it doesn't even have the benefit of influencing them, unlike other magic weapons.
RAW, it seems like a +1 net is pretty much useless. Am a missing something? Is it supposed to have more HP or some other effect? Does it have some niche benefit that I am not seeing besides +1 to hit?
Unless a magic item is an artifact or otherwise have the Unbteakable property, it wont be undestructible but may still be twice as more resstant to damage than a mundane item as per the DMG
Most magic items, other than potions and scrolls, have resistance to all damage.
