Multiattack used to say things like "The kruthik makes two stab attacks or two spike attacks" which was very clear and unambiguous. But in the Monsters of the Multiverse they have changed the wording to be like "The kruthik makes two Stab or Spike attacks". Does the new wording mean that it can still only make 2 x A or 2 x B, or does it mean they can also do 1 x A and 1 x B?

If it was supposed to have an option for combination attacks, it would say that.
I do see what you mean about the wording being less clear.
Conversely, if the two attacks had to be the same attack, it would say that.
Either attack can be either a stab or a spike.
Yeah, that seems to be the case with MotM at least.
I dug around and found an example of when mixing attacks is clearly not an option in MotM, so I guess this is just how they word it when it is now.
