I dont think DDB has PHB from other editions other than 5E.
I think DDB only has 5e. However, the OP only mentioned someone looking in their PHB hard copy on page 72 to find battle master but the only way battle master isn't on page 73 (assuming the person would have flipped the page) is if it is NOT a 5e PHB. Also, the OP also mentioned that the other person couldn't find it in their app. However, it isn't clear that the app the "other" person was using for character creation was D&D Beyond. It could be a character creator for one of the earlier D&D versions.
I'd also comment that unless the "other" person is very new to the game then they would likely already know about the Battle Master archetype since it is one of the most popular types of fighters - so I'm guessing that there is a bit of miscommunication on printed and online sources involved between the OP and whoever they are talking to, that needs to be resolved.
Is the digitalised book on DnDBeyond App SIGNIFICANTLY different from the hard cover book?
Someone told me they can’t find “Battle Master” on their PHB, pg 72 or on their app. Either way, I am not getting 3 Maneuver when my character hits Lvl 3. Because they don’t have it on their book/app.
I just need to know if DnDBeyond is scamming us by creating a different version of PHB.
The digitized book on DND-Beyond is ALMOST identical to the hard cover books. The only differences are a few usually small errata and those should match the most recent printing. All races, classes, and rules are in every PHB, digital or otherwise.
DnDBeyond is NOT scamming you. I own both DNDBeyond and print content and can attest that they are the SAME.
If there is an inconsistency then you need to talk to the "someone" and make sure you are talking about the same thing. As I said, if the "someone" looked on page 73 of their PHB and Battle Master is not there along with a picture of a three headed green dragon (it could be a hydra with 3 heads) battling a wizard and a fighter then they are not looking at a 5e PHB.
......you guys are trying way too hard. Let's debunk theze nuts XD:
1. Solved. I have verified on various devices and the app shows me the same thing.
2. I have the books on DnD Beyond, so I have the contents. Solved.
3. As mentioned, I do have PHB and more. Solved.
4. It is said on the DnD Beyond app. Do I need a screenshot? It said PHB, pg 72 on my end and I had the same result using different devices (aka friends with smartphones). Indeed if it should be page 73, which means this is a scam. Either the app is removing pages or the information is not accurate. Solved. Whereas like Plaguescarred said, there is no other version of DnD except 5e on DnD Beyond; or as someone has said, the version on DnD Beyond is always updated.
5. Like I have concluded, the only one possibility: different versions, different editions of the book of the same TTRPG. OBVIOUSLY THE ANSWER. The only "THING" my DM has, is a different version/edition of the book. Somehow.
Guys, the case is solved 100%. Murder Mystery is over. Stop throwing more popcorns at your screen. Go watch the actual Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves in cinemas. This message is brought to by Chris Pine, the Ken Doll that didn't make it to Barbie the Movie and the guy with "Those LIPS". If you guys continue, Holga will buy you guys tickets and shove them into your mouth. XD
Thank you for solving this mystery, you earn yourselves some nat 20s on Investigation check. Now go buy popcorns and watch that movie.

I'm curious to know where in the app does it mention the page number? In my version of the app it just one long page with the title "Martial Archetypes".

As to the OP's specific original questions:
The digitized book on DND-Beyond is ALMOST identical to the hard cover books. The only differences are a few usually small errata and those should match the most recent printing. All races, classes, and rules are in every PHB, digital or otherwise.
