So a friend and I are both about to play a pair of tortles, a tempest cleric and a wild magic sorcerer and we working on a few ideas for combos we could do in combat. We are working on a grease/shell slide attack right now and have approval from the GM so anything goes! What kind of things have you come up with before? Would love to hear other people's thoughts and ideas.
I'm not sure there are any rules-legit shenanigans for the tortle shell. You're going to have more luck with tips and tricks or homebrew for shenanigans.

I'm probably laughing.
It is apparently so hard to program Aberrant Mind and Clockwork Soul spell-swapping into dndbeyond they had to remake the game without it rather than implement it.
RAW grease only creates the rik of a creature being knocked prone it does not enable / enhance movement. If your DM a.lows it fine but I agree with Ravnodaus it is something for homebrew pr tips and tricks.
Hardly shenanigans but shell defence is VERY situationally useful against ranged attacks. +4 to AC (to 23 if to have a shield) and disadvantage to ranged attacks wwill make you very hard to hit. Only time I have used it was at night and we could hear there was something but had no idea where as it was beyond our darkvision (and was we found out later invisible). I decided to go inside my shell until it revealed itself. It could also be useful if you were concentrating on a spell you HAD to keep concentration on (e.g. conjure elemental) and were pretty sure nothing could get in melee range of you.

While withdrawn into your shell, one of your ally could use you as a bowling ball and push you into enemies with things like the Telekinetic feat or Shove Attack action.!
I should have clarified that yes these would be more homebrew ideas that our DM gives us creative license to play out. We discuss with DM ahead of time that he will allow. Such as using grease and the shove action

That's exactly what we were thinking but wanted to see if we could take this idea any farther.
