Hi, i have a question. If i buy the new DMG book, will i be able to use its contents with 2014 player sheet?
Also, is there a point in buying 2014 books like PHB2014 since WotC are pushing 2024 books? I would like to buy phb2014 for subclasses but i am afraid that after a year i won't be able to use it anymore.

Yes, you can use magic items from the 2024 DMG on a character using a 2014 class.
As to your other question, it depends on which rules the group you're going to be playing with uses. If you're in a group playing 2014 rules, then the 2014 PHB is still useful.
Take this with a grain of salt, but WOTC have said they have no plans to stop selling the 2014 books anytime soon. And while this is no guarantee of future behavior, in the past even when books have been removed from the marketplace for purchase, those who already owned them have still been able to use them.
Many people still play with 2014 characters. There are also many campaigns that started with the 2014 rules are were already in play when the 2024 rules came out.
I would consider it a bit of a crime to restrict access. But like all things it depends on the GM.
