I suppose 25 gp is a little more reasonable... D&D equivalent of ordering mineral water for your table at a fancy restaurant? :p
For when you’re hiking through the great divide in Colorado and you really really really want a Fiji water brought you via an amazon drone (real life comparison I could think of)
I'd rule that a berry, which is small enough that ten can fit in your hand, has the ability to nourish the body for the day, satisfying hunger. I'd also rule that it hydrates the consumer. My reason is based on real life dietary trends where some people have forgone water altogether for years now, getting purely through fruits and vegetables on a daily basis. So, I'd say that Goodberry does, in fact, scientifically, magically satisfy your hydration, as well as your hunger. It's magically created for that purpose. That's why only one berry, again, the size small enough to fit 10 in your hand, can satisfy hunger for 24 hours.
