Say i’m A paladin, with a Barbarian teammate. He has the totem of the bear, which makes you resist everything except psychic. I have Warding Bond. Someone smacks him with a sword, dealing damage. But my warding bond has been cast on him, and he is raging. Say the sword hits and damage roll is 10. Does he take 5 damage or 2?
Resistances do not stack. Now if you have resistance to fire and you make your save against dragon fire for half damage, then you would take 1/4 damage there because you have two different kinds of damage reduction.

You both take 5 damage.
Resistances do not stack, although "halving damage taken" can stack, if received from different sources. Warding Bond does two things regarding damage: gives resistance to all damage to the target of the spell, and has the caster take damage in equal amount to that received by the target. So... Barbarian has resistance to slashing damage (both from rage and Warding Bond), so he halves the "10" rolled and takes 5 damage. Then, you (the caster) take an equal amount of damage (5).
Yes, that means that Barbarians aren't particularly good targets for Warding Bond, since while raging, the net effect is the caster taking half damage from weapon hits to the Barbarian (worse for Bear Totem, which adds all other types of damage except psychic).
i have 2 different fire resistances does this stack
From: PHB
Multiple instances of resistance or vulnerability that affect the same damage type count as only one instance. For example, if a creature has resistance to fire damage as well as resistance to all nonmagical damage, the damage of a nonmagical fire is reduced by half against the creature, not reduced by three-quarters.

Resistance is kind of like Advantage, you either have it or you don't. Even if you have it from two different sources, you still just have "Resistance". It WILL stack with other damage-reducing effects like making a saving throw, Evasion, Uncanny Dodge, etc. Even though those abilities usually reduce the damage taken by half, they're not "Resistance".
Say i am a scourge assimar bear totem barbarian would the radiant and necrotic resistance stack with bear totem to take 1 quarter damage from the scourge assimar ability radiant consumption?

Sorry to sound rude - but did you read the other replies? Resistances do not stack.
What if a MC Barbarian is the one who casts warding bond prior to raging. His teammate is then hit for 10 slashing damage which is halved due to resistance and takes 5 damage. the 5 damage also hits the raging barbarian. Is this damage then halved due to the barbarians resistance?
On the one hand - abilities like this will often say "this damage cannot be reduced in any way" (paraphrased) - and Warding Bond doesn't do that. However - it does say "you take the same amount of damage" - and if you resist it then you haven't taken the same amount.
So I can see an argument being made for either decision. Too ambiguous for me - though I would probably err toward resistances working.
Ok, here's a new variation on the same question. Say that I'm a Drakewarden Ranger, and my drake is summoned as a fire type. He is immunities to any fire damage, but he shares his resistance with me (level 7). If I get hit with a fire attack, I take half damage. But what if i use Absorb Elements? Would the fire damage be halved again?

Lets build off this out of curiousity. Im pretty sure its a non issue but say you are able to warding bond the drake. (whether it can wear that component ring or not). it now has resistance to all damage and still has the fire immunity. If it gets hit by fire. you would not take any carry over damage.
This spell wards a willing creature you touch and creates a mystic connection between you and the target until the spell ends. While the target is within 60 feet of you, it gains a +1 bonus to AC and saving throws, and it has resistance to all damage. Also, each time it takes damage, you take the same amount of damage.
since it doesnt take the damage would you not take the damage?

"[E]ach time it takes damage, you take the same amount of damage." The same amount as 0 is 0.

If you get resistance it doesn't stack. If it is worded that you take half damage, then it does.
Let's say a rouge who got evasion and fire resistance, gets hit by a fireball and fails his save. He would take 1/4 of the damage.

I was thinking the same thing since I also play a cleric with life transference.
