I'm looking at picking up the Tough Feat for my Paladin the next time that I level-up and have the opportunity for an Ability Score Improvement. My question is; do I reap the benefits of a typical level up (Rolling a D10 or taking the average of 6 + my CON modifier) and additionally adding the benefits of the feat (for example, increasing my Hit Point Max by 24 at Level 12)? Or when you choose this feat, do the benefits of the feat supersede and replace your typical Hit Point Max increase that comes with leveling up?
The first option. You get your normal level up benefits for HP, and also get (1) +2 HP/level for your current and past levels (so, 24 at level 12), and also (2) +2 HP each time you level up in the future.
Yeah the feat just adds to your normal HP gain. Things only take away or replace normal HP gain if they say they do (like aberrant dragonmarks greater aberrant powers).

I'm going to make this way harder than it needs to be.
