Difficult terrain in combat and special types of movement only adds 1 to the amount of needed movement, not double. They were just inconsistent when they wrote double in travel speed.
Im sorry that still sounds very off. From how it is worded i could see how the argument for a 5,6, or 8 cost of movement speed could be picked at with these, but it seems (to me at least) the RAI is 8ft with RAW possibility of 5-6. The thing on inconsistencies seems to happen from time to time too, such as with summon construct actually starting at 55hp due to how its worded. Which normally none of this fully even matters, but in the case of a movement lockdown build every foot counts. I'm gonna take a shot in the dark here and say we have no Crawford nor sage advice confirmations either way?
