Damage from improvised weapons is set to 1d4. There is no 'it weighs more' improvement.
Why? Because in real life heavier weapons are a BAD idea. In real life, most weapons weighed 2 lbs. A few of the two handed weapons got as much as 15-20 lbs, ut that is it.
Yeah, I know you got this creative idea that NO ONE IN ALL OF HISTORY THOUGHT OF! Just carry a really big weapon and drop it on people.
Only that does not work. Never in history did people go around carrying big things and dropping on them. The squat world record is a bit under 400 lbs. Lets pretend that would be your weight.
I will ignore how tired you will get carrying that around, even pulling it on wheels.
Any more that tried to do this would find that it is SLOW to lift the weight up and impossible to get it over someone else. While you try to do this, the other guy stabs you with a dagger. No, make that a knife. Not enough to kill you, but enough to make you drop that weight - on your OWN head.
Combat is all about mobility. Your opponent is not just standing still waiting for you to attack. It is a dance where you try to get in close enough to strike without leaving an opening. To do that you cannot use an incredibly heavy weapon. It must be light enough for you to do acrobatics while holding it because that is exactly what you are really doing.
If some idiot tried to pull this crap here are the rules I would use, insisting that if they want to make an entirely new combat system, it has to have a semblance of realism.
1) If the weapon is doing damage based on weight, you go LAST in the round. Always.
2) If you are hit before you attack, you take critical damage from the hit and must make a Con save with disadvantage or take full damage from your own attack.
3) This is a Dex save for the opponent, DC of 10+your Dex, NOT a weapon attack. If you are lifting more than half your max weight, they have advantage on the save. Yes, damage is based on what you are strong enough to lift, but the chance of failure is based on how dextrous you are on getting it above them. If they save, no damage.

You are wrong. You are so wrong that it is causing me pain. Zweihänders were between 4¼ and 8½ pounds, and could be wielded with more finesse than most people realize.
Heavy, blunt weapons were used against people in plate armor, because even with padding and armor, a hit could break bones.

I am right. I said a few two handed weapons were more. Zweihanders literally means TWO HANDER
Heavy, blunt weapons were used, but almost exclusively by the very wealthy. Also known as the one percent. 99% of the population used lighter weapons. A narrow dagger was often just as good against plate armor and could bleed a knight out for a tenth the cost of a heavy blunt weapon.
I repeat "In real life, most weapons weighed 2 lbs." It may have been for monetary reasons, but a two pound weapon got the job done. Heavy weapons were heavy and awkward.

All of these are wrong.
Great clubs were cheap, and could be made heavy with a bit of metal.
Your average medieval peasant was better off than most people realize. There's a peasant's house in Germany that's bigger than the house I live in.
Daggers can't do shit against plate; that's kinda the point of using plate armor. Underneath the plate on the arms is chainmail, and that's the only place with gaps you could fit a blade into easily.
Again, people don't seem to realize that "awkward weapons" literally didn't exist. Every weapon that was historically used was designed to be useful. Except for nunchuks. Nunchuks suck.

Rules are funny. You can lift 27000 pounds, but such weight would crush your body outright. But that aside, having 27000 pounds carry capacity means you also have 54000 pounds drag capacity. You could but wheels or .. what are the part of a sled that it slides on called? .. anyway, put those on a boat, and drag that along everywhere you go.
When you kill a dragon, you can finally haul all of it's hoard with you.
That's cool.

Blanket disclaimer: I only ever state opinion. But I can sound terribly dogmatic - so if you feel I'm trying to tell you what to think, I'm really not, I swear. I'm telling you what I think, that's all.
